Fade Street Social - The Restaurant
Nothing wrong with it but was overpriced. Main course was lovely. Starter was average. Dessert was disappointing. I had a gift voucher but otherwise I would have been annoyed by the final price.
We went on valentines night. It was a set menu. Starters were cold. It was an hour wait for our main course. My partner ran to the toilet after the dinner due to an ill stomach.
Would not recommend on Valentine’s. Normally we love it but we were very disappointed today.
valentines! food was great , asked for pepper sauce for my steak and i was told the chef dosent use it in his kitchen! i was sceptical but after i tasted the steak i was amazed no need for anything else except what was already there!
Wonderful food, attentive service, might seem pricey but fair value for what it is. Recommended!
Lovely staff, very attentive, courses a bit rushed but very much enjoyed and will return.
We had the special rugby lunch.
It was irl v scotland , 2 courses for 30euro to include a pint and a glass of wine. Food was absolutely delicious. Very high quality.
Service fantastic. Would highly recommend.
Hope to return again for an evening meal.
We went there based on an article in Conde Nast Traveler, but atmosphere and food was not what we expected. Moderate quality, unattentive staff.
A little overpriced. Service was great. Our waiter was excellent
Had a fantastic night in this restaurant celebrating our wedding anniversary. Highly recommend.
One of the best restaurants I have ever tried. Amazing food and services! Highly recommended!
We NEVER EVER mind paying just that little bit extra if the experience is worth it.
And this place was a VERY PLEASANT surprise in that regard.
When you're at a restaurant, and you're having convos with your party or partner and you realize around the end of the evening that you did't dislike ANYTHING about your meal or the ambiance/vibe and you have not had to hail your server ONCE....
that is exceptional....
Great service and really nice ambiance throughout. We ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent. Recommended
Lovely concept and really enjoyed our meal. Shame it was a limited menu on the night but selection was sufficient for what we needed.
Service was outstanding and food was light, delicate & tasty I would recommend
Top class food as always and exceptional service. Favorite restaurant in Dublin by far!!
Always a nice night and friendly staff. Food is a good standard
FAB, I will always recommend this restaurant to my family and friends and to the wider publick,
Thank you Fade.
The most overrated restaurant in Dublin. Service and value for money leaves a lot to be desired. Very expensive piece of steak, not a bit wonder the beef farmers are complaining when they see the price restaurants are charging. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Although we could not fault the staff for their friendliness and professionalism and the menu for its range of food, the noise levels brought our rating down. It was uncomfortably loud and we were unable to have a conversation. Because of this we declined desserts and coffee and choose to walk back to our hotel for both.
Great service and ambience and location. Venison outstanding and mushroom ravioli delicious. Just wish they would give you more ravioli.
The meat here was the best we'd had in a restaurant for a long time. Service was excellent and we had a very pleasant server. Our only bugbear was the noise level - with no soft furnishings it was very loud and almost defeated even the younger members of our party!
Enjoyed the meal. Thought the waiting staff were overworked ? Not enough on duty
Food was nice and staff were helpful and attentive but felt it was overpriced, particularly the sides with main courses
I don’t normally complain or have to complain in a restaurant but I had to in Fade Street Social. Just terrible from start to finish. We had to send food back not once but twice. The manager kindly had a word with us and reduced our bill but this kind offer would never make me visit this restaurant again.
Also what is this place? Is it a restaurant, a bar , a tapas bar??? Don’t try to do them all. Pick one and do it well instead of doing all three badly.
Finally point, don’t have your cloak room visible right at the front door. Not a good look to see coats every where and also on the ground when you walk in.
Food was unreal! Service was excellent. My only problem was that there was a horrible smell where we were sitting - the table in the corner beside the bar - all night.
Staff extremely professional and helpful. Food as expected worth travelling for. No complaints
Ambience and service I couldn't fault in the restaurant but overall a let down based on value for money and what we got. Dinner for two with wine cost €166 which was two courses and a dessert shared plus wine. Food was ok but would expect something a bit different for the price. I ordered the rib eye and honestly have had better in my local pub. A lot of people love this place but I wouldn't go back.
Amazing food. The desert could improve. The place was a bit cold. Overall I would come backm
The menu was very limited, not many options at all, portions are small for the amount you’re paying and just very hard to find something appetizing
Unfortunately for myself and my partner the food in Fade Street Social did not meet our expectations. We found the overall cooking methods and lack of taste unappetizing .
Fantastic food atmosphere & staff
Will be returning shortly 😊
Not the kind of food I was expecting.
Service a bit slow.
service waa excellent. A long with great food
We booked a table for 8.30pm weeks in advance. Arrived at eight and directed upstairs to bar. It was packed out and extremely noisy with little chance of a seat or a drink so went to a hotel bar nearby and returned at 8.30. Table still not available for at least another 30 minutes. Left again to another bar across street to wait. Returned at 9.15 and stood for 10 minutes- eventually seated at 9.40pm. Very slow to take orders and crowded, overheated and noisy restaurant.
The menu read wellbut starters were small and overpriced at 12/15 Euro. Mains and sides tasty but very expensive - rib eye steak 35 Euro. Bill for two with glass of wine each and no desserts or coffee - 158 Euro. Won’t be back!!
Found it to be overly price for what was served. I usually hate sending food back but my cauliflower side dish was very cold - I was presented with a new one but my meat was cold by the time that arrived! Dessert was bland and coffee was extremely bitter. Disappointed overall.
Staff were amazing - really friendly and helpful. Food excellent which is great considering how busy the restaurant was. We got our food very quickly. We weren't rushed out after finishing our food. Would definitely recommend to anyone
Expensive with a major time constraint. The food is good but there was a rush for us to vacate the table which is really unfortunate.
Gorgeous food, very nice service and buzz about the place. Noise level a little loud due to a large table in the middle of the restaurant but it was Friday and the first going out night of the Christmas period so it was probably to be expected. Highly recommend the scallop starter, flatbread mains and the unusual take on banoffi for desert!
Lovely food, lovely waiter, horrible shouting from kitchen - some man hurling vile abuse at a member of staff. Excruciating to listen to. Would never go back
