Fada Bistro
A spacious but cozy main room with caramel tones and a Provencal garden provide the perfect setting for private events and a casual experience of Southern France in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Valentine’s dinner was not good at all. Boring squash soup, zuchini blossom fritters were good, but that was followed by dry boeuf bourguignon with an acidic and way too watery sauce, plus some flavourless sides, crème brûlée was ok. It was one of the classic bulk-cooked Vday menus that were just not worth the price. Shame, cause their usual menu looks pretty good.
Beautiful, cozy, romantic
I will go back
Great food, great Williamsburg casual atmosphere. Would definitely go again
Very pretty garden, decent prices and solid food. I would go again.
We sat down and no one even bothered to greet us, fill up our water, take any orders. We ended up leaving before anyone actually came to help us. Had dinner at Have & Meyer. Was amazing. Go there instead
Nice outdoor space in Williamburg
Mussels were good but could have benefitted from either fresh herbs or garlic
We had a wonderful time at Fada, and I highly recommend it - the food was excellent, and our waiter, Eric, was outstanding! Can’t wait to go back!
The service was abominal
Staff very accommodating. Two guests had the tagine which they enjoyed immensely. I and my partner had the steak cassolette with peppercorn sauce. The menu said it cam with french fries but it actually was served with potato sticks like from a bag you get at the corner store.
The other issue was children running around the front of the restaurant and in/out the front door. Not very pleasant for a dinner experience.
Great french atmosphere excellent food and cocktails. Also has a nice backyard area.
Really a kind reception on a very busy night. Very hospitable.
It was great food! Would go here again
we went for dinner on Valentine's day which was probably our mistake. I checked first to make sure they had their regular menu, but when we arrived it was a very limited Valentine's day menu which offered items not consistent with French style tapas and mostly things swimming in heavy creamy cheesy sauces. Even the wine selection was disappointing.
Super repas @
Super nice restaurant ! Love it
Love this restaurant, recommend highly
We chose this restaurant based upon the menu on the Opentable site. When we arrived the menu was different and much more limited....disappointing!
We loved this place! Cute atmosphere with great food. The three stars in ambiance is because there were mosquitos outside and we had to move outside. But overall, the meal was great and laid back.
Anniversaire! Superbe ambiance merci Soraya comme dans le sud de la France:)
Excellent restaurant and great food. I highly recommend it for that special occasion or just dinner.
Went here last night for my birthday. The food was phenomenal but the service, not so much. Waited a good 20 minutes before we were greeted and brought water, which was never refilled (and it was a sauna in there!). Once we were finished, it was another maddening struggle to get the check. My friend - who lived in France for a while - told us that this slow, inattentive service is very much the French way, so I guess we got the authentic experience. Not sure if all the waiters at Fada are French but ours was.
But like I said, the food was amazing and I will be back for it. Would especially recommend the steak au poive and calamari. We never got the snails we ordered but I'm sure they're good to.
The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The back garden was very pleasant. There was a pretty wild and loud party going on in the private party area in the back but ... it was still pretty nice. Will go back.
Lovely neighbourhood bistro with delightful tapas freshly cooked. Wine list is a bargain and the live jazz band bring the charm to a very beautiful interior.
Fada is a highly underrated restaurant in the neighborhood. Its super cute, the food is always on point, service is friendly, and the price point is GREAT! Like a steak au poivre is only $15. I don't know why this place isn't super busy.
The jazz trio was great and the steak au poivre and the burrata salad were excellent. The mussels, less so. The waitress was fast and attentive and really cared that we have a great meal.
Good food and live music. Would definitely recommend.
Nice casual restaurant with very tasty dishes and a chill vibe.
Reasonably priced and exceeded our expectation .
Delicious desert
I love Fada.
My favourite spot in Williamsburg.
Delicious food, super cool (but non-pretentious) vibe, live music Thurs, Fri and Sat.
Long live Fada!
Great outdoor space! Perfect for summer nights out with friends!
One of my favorites in Williamsburg! Great food and live music!
We went to hear gypsy jazz. Not sure if the guitarists were playing much gypsy music, but we couldn't stay too long. It's a cool French-run place with a garden in the back. I'd definitely go back again!
Honestly, the food was pretty good, but the service was slow and disorganized. We constantly had to flag down a waiter or waitress to order both foods and drinks, and I had to ask for water at least 3 times throughout the night before it was brought to me, once in the beginning of the meal and a few times during the meal. The food was good, but I wouldn't rush back because of the service, or lack thereof.
Great mussels and fries (unlimited on Wednesday) and great music!
We had a lovely dinner--the roasted chicken was delicious.
This place was pretty weird. The main dining room was completely empty. Servers had no idea what was in any of the dishes. They were setting up for "Love music" in the corner around the time I left.
Food was passable. The steak tartare was dry and vaguely flavorless. The mussels were bountiful. If you do find yourself at this place, order the mussels. They can feed you and half of Brooklyn. The curry they are served in is decent. Nothing cost too much, but you get what you pay for I guess.
Very cute and authentic French bistro. Ate in the quiet and quaint garden. Steak and Niçoise salad were both excellent! Nice wine selection and nice server! Merci!
Very nice, quiet and authentic french place! Awesome mussels selection with all-you-can eat offer once a week. Make sure to check out the spacious but picturesque patio. Service is very friendly and efficient. Definitely one of my favorite places.
We had a lovely meal at Fada. We sta2rted with escargot which were less buttery than typical but still excellent. Lots of bread crumbs soaked up the butter which gave the snails a nice garlic crunch. I had traditional mussels and my daughter had cassoulet. Both were excellent. Service was attentive and our waitress had a lovely French accent, adding to the charm. We sat in an enclosed courtyard with an outdoor feel, but totally protected from the elements.
Trout was delicious as was the duck. Everything was too expensive
