We had a great time. Fun atmosphere - good food.
Ambience- I don’t particularly like bar height tables, as I’m short, making it difficult to move the chair once I sit down. My group was not given an option, couldn’t see any options from our table. There are randomly located pendant wood beams on the ceiling, which means that the lighting is also randomly located. Our table had nothing but a candle.
Service: By the time the server took our drink orders, we said we were ready to place our food order. He took the appetizer order then left. Appetizers arrived almost immediately and before drinks, with menus still on the table. I don’t like to have to juggle the menu while eating. The warm goat cheese tart was not warm. Bread was never served. Another member of our party asked for French Onion Soup without the bread. It was served with the bread so they replaced it.
Food: Four items ordered: Trout Meunière, Coc au Vin, Chicken Ballotine and Braised Rabbit. Kitchen agreed to substitute cauliflower purée for mashed potatoes. Presentation - white plate, white vegetable and white fish. Cauliflower purée was pre-plated, both it and plate were cold (didn’t complain). Requested the rabbit to have the sauce on the side, served with a pool of sauce on the plate. Manager said that it was braised in the sauce, not able to serve separately, but how hard is it to lift it out of sauce? The rabbit was not warm, so probably pre-plated with sauce. Other two diners said their food was acceptable, truffle fries tasty. Manager aware of the circus going on at our table, decided to comp a dessert platter for the four of us to share, with two crepes, a chocolate lava cake and profiteroles. Crepes cold, lava didn’t flow, could not identify sauce on profiterole. Manager discounted two checks. Food caused stomach problems for two of us; other than desserts, we didn’t eat the same food.
Just a nice place to bring a date. Not too pricy yet very tasty!
Brought my parents here to celebrate the purchase of my first home - service was excellent and my father loved all of the old music that they had playing. Ordered the Charcuterie Board - FABULOUS. I had the braised rabbit leg for my entree and it was delicious. Also tried the lamb lollipops, caramelized brussel sprouts, and beef bourguignon - everyone enjoyed their food and had a great time!
Always a pleasant experience at F&B
We should have known from the valet service that we were walking into an unpleasant experience at F&B. It was bad from drop off to pick up.
The service was impeccable and the food delicious. The Coq au Vin and Beef Bourgogne were amazing.
Space is much brighter since renovation
Waiter was very patient .. nice ambiance for business meal or friends gathering
Neighborhood gem , good Frnch fare!
Service was very attentive and everything from the rolls, to appetizers to main meal to dessert was yummy. Would recommend sharing the chocolate lava cave!
F&B is a delightful spot for a fine meal and great service. Steve our server was very good, friendly, and knowledgeable. Food was excellent and to order. Great bar we hope to try next visit. Helpful hint: valet your car if you want to avoid a pricey parking charge.
Neighborhood restaurant with great wine list. Primarily French bistro, but always good for a burger too. Brussel sprouts are outstanding. Bar scene at happy hour is vibrant. Excellent Moscow Mule in copper mug.
This was my first visit and I really enjoyed every aspect. I am looking forward to my next visit. I have already started recommending the restaurant to all of my friends. This is a great romantic spot and a great after work restaurant.
Great Valentine’s Night date with my fiancé!
Food was fabulous and service was good. It was a great Valentine day. Thanks for a wonderful day and we will see you soon. George Gribble
This place is amazing. I am a self proclaimed ATL foodie and this was hands down amazing. From the entrance to the exit. It was a set Valentines menu and the pork chop blew my mind. And the french fries. And the desert. Even the chef Gabe came out to say hi.
From the minute you walk in, you are welcomed by a first class ambiance paired with the fragrant aromas from the kitchen. The staff, both prim and proper, escort you to your choice of bar or table seating arrangements. A masterpiece of a menu is presented in front of you, showcasing the very best of French cuisine. As I closed my eyes, with every bite, I relived the sights and smells of charming Paris. With every bite, my palette ascended into heavenly realms. F&B is a premier gem of culinary ingenuity in Atlanta. As a regular patron of this establishment, I highly recommend enjoying a wonderful meal here and you'll soon see for yourself why it is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta.
Loved the food and ambiance. The service was a little slow. Also, it was husband’s birthday and I indicated that on the reservation but they didn’t really do anything special or even wish him happy birthday.
We’ve been many times to F&B and have always loved it. We hadn’t been there in about a year. Our waiter was a little slow but the food was still super delicious and the manager came over and took.l care of us when we couldn’t get something from our waiter. We’ll be back!
I really like F&B for food, looks and ambiance. Very slow night so not noisy at all. Waiter was very pleasant, but disappeared for long period of time-way too long without checking back before we ordered. Actually think they might have reduced staff due to slow business and he was handling too much, but still should have come by to see if ready to order sooner. Food tonight was good. Not great or exceptional. They did comp a dessert to make up for service which was good except for the one lapse.
Excellent cocktails, great staff and really good food
Food was very good. Hostess was ok but seemed overwhelmed on a busy night. Surprised people were wearing everything from sour coats to hats backwards at the bar and one lady was literally in her workout stretch pants slurping bouillabaisse.
Server was hesitant but good. Biggest complaint was that the servers, busers and expedites were so rushed they kept banging into my chair. Happened five or six times. Ridiculous and never once did anyone say excuse me.
Rabbit was excellent. Onion soup very good though a tad below temperature. I’ll give it one more try but place seems a schizophrenic combo of sports bar and nice restaurant.
The food was overcooked. My medium rare lamb was served medium well. I couldn't send it back, because the waiter never stopped by to see how the food was. In the waiter's defense, he was assigned too many tables. On the plus side, the quality of the ingredients was high.
Notable meals with personalized service. Not too loud and great seating available at the window facing Peachtree. Can’t wait to return!
Birthday dinner with family. The rack of lamb was delicious
Duck confit salad was delicious.
Great French food. I went there for lunch and had the Croque Madame.
Love the guillotine for complaints at the entrance!!
Had a great lunch with even better service.
As usual, everything was great. Excellent food and outstanding service. Took my family and they loved it. Will go back with friends who like French food
F&B is a nice neighborhood restaurant. We have eaten there several times and will return.
I was so excited about F&B as my husband and I are always looking for good restaurants and we love French food. Unfortunately, we will not be going back.
Our first impression was a rude hostess (who should not be in the hospitality business). We were obviously an inconvenience to her and didn't greet us when we walked in (she just said "two?") and then took us to a table, blocked me from getting to the table and didn't wish us a good lunch. Surly! The music was on a radio station which was playing a commercial for an Atlanta Mercedes Benz dealership -- they don't have Sirius XM? What is this Waffle House?
The waiter for our area was MIA so another guy helped us but wasn't friendly or helpful. I felt bad for him because he seemed to be the only server on the floor. Our tea glasses were always empty and we weren't offered dessert. I ordered escargot which were a big disappointment -- bland and served with thin bread toasts which couldn't be used to sop up the butter garlic sauce...which really wasn't a heartache since the sauce was pretty sad. The onion soup was okay.
For a $60 lunch, I had hoped we'd do better than "poor".
F&B was delicious, and it was a really fun time for me and my husband. It is a great atmosphere and has beautiful surroundings.
Delicious hearty food. Friendly, helpful staff. I can eat here everyday!
The food was just ok, especially compared to other notable French restaurants in Buckhead (like Le Bilboquet, Bistro Niko, or Anis). My friends both ordered the skate, which was over floured before pan frying (possibly in oil that wasn't hot enough), so the outside of the skate wing was greasy and soggy, instead of crunchy. The portion of fish was tiny. I ordered the ribeye which was a very nice cut, but the sauce that accompanied it (some kind of oily tomato relish?) really muddied the flavor of the steak. I also ordered the steak medium, and it arrived very red and cold in the middle (definitely rare). The service was nice, but not noteworthy. For the prices, I'd head somewhere else.
Great food. New decor, same comfy ambience
Our second great dining experience at F & B. Our server, Steve, was awesome. Again, the food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back! 5 stars F & B!
Amazing food - from the mussel appetizer (dipping bread in the broth is amazing!) to the scallops and beef bourguignon entrees. Everything was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Waiter was attentive and pleasant, and manager came to check on our meals and service. Very nice dinner.
The food was phenomenal! The lobster dish & french onion soup are a must! If the service improved, it would be my top go to spot in Buckhead.
This was our first time at F&B. We will definitely go back. The food was delicious and our server, Steve, was amazing. What a beautiful restaurant too!
Excellent food and service! One of our favorite Atlanta restaurants! Highly recommend!
