I suggest the lunch menu be expanded to include at least entrees , withone fish item.

The food was good, but there was little ambiance--possibly as we were the only ones there. The mixed potatoes were crispy and the egg scramble was good. The silver dollar chocolate pancakes were a big hit with the kids (and adults) as they were delicious. Our server was very nice as well.

Love the BYOB! Smallish menu but food is excellent! Unfortunately service was terrible, waited 1/2 hour for bread, my husband order pork and was served fish, we both ordered soup and server forgot. We realize its student-run but there didn't seem to be any professional supervision. Our server did not make us feel welcome.

Had dinner here the other night. The flavors were all wonderful. We were a bit rushed due to theater plans which the staff accommodated. I wish we had had more time to linger & savor our meal or try a dessert. I love that it's BYOB. More money to spend on food there! Will definitely return.

Went for a late valentines day dinner. The server was inexperienced, but that was to be expected given it was a school restaurant. Wife got the grilled salmon which was beautiful and well done. They were out of the steak so I was left with the Eyrie Burger which was cooked more rare than medium but still good. Great value for the money and we'd definitely come back.

I have been here any number of times for lunch... I was always pleased with everything about Eyrie. I decided that I wanted to try something local for Valentine's Day... a prix fixe menu. It was an incredible experience. My wife and I had one of the best meals we have ever had... food... presentation... service... were all exceptional. We plan on going back very soon.

The presentation was poor. The pork that I order was over cooked and dried. I know these are students and don't want to be hurtful but attention to details will make you better chefs.

Food is delicious and the portions are good, not to large. Quite you can have a conversation and enjoy yourself.

Always a pleasure dining at Eyrie. The student chefs and hospitality staff work hard at great presentation, taste, and service. And...it's BYOB, so I can choose my own wine to enjoy with a gourmet meal at very reasonable prices.

Great food at pretty decent prices. Really appreciated the quiet atmosphere. We love that we could support a business that's run by students looking to take positive steps in their lives.

Eyrie is one of our favorite restaurants, where we can count on inventive seasonal menus and excellent service. This time, I tried the braised beef tips with polenta and really enjoyed that twist on mashed potatoes. The peanut squash soup is so full of flavor that it is difficult to follow! And...it is BYOB, so I can pick my favorite wine to pair. We have never been dissapointed there. It is young and fresh and fun to dine at Eyrie.

Good food. Love the BYOB concept. We had a great view of the life on the street scenery. The waitor Hector, was polite and answered all our questions. We look forward to going back!

This restaurant had very nice workers. This was our first visit there, but was disappointed to learn that it was open for lunch for 2-1/2 hours Monday through Friday and for Dinner on Friday and Saturday from 5 to 9. Not sure how they make any money and was disappointed that no
college students work on the weekend. First was good, but should have alittle more of a variety.

It was a small menu with bites to satisfy everyone! Absolutely delicious and quaint!

We had a great dinned at Eyrie. Its a small intimate place in the heart of Oak Park. The service and food were wonderful. Hard to believe that these are culinary students it was that good. Robert Morris is obviously training their students well. I would highly recommend!

This student run restaurant is the best hidden secret in the neighborhood. Great presentation. Tasty food. Good service. Perfect location. It is a shame more people haven't checked out this location. Very impressed.

Although the number of dishes on the menu was fairly limited, the selections were amazing! We also loved the fact that it was BYOB, cause that greatly helps to keep a nice dinner out very affordable.

I was drawn to Eyrie by a Living Social deal. My girlfriends and I loved all our meals. We tried dishes we never had like mashed celery root...it was awesome! All of the side vegetables were fresh because they buy from the Farmers Market. Their Flatbeards were delicious. Atmosphere was calm and modern. BYO was the added plus. Maria our server was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and promt with service. We will definitely go again. Fun night with the girls!

The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. I like that the menu changes often. I have told all my friends about Eyrie. It is a neat place for brunch or dinner. I love it. Kudos to Megan and Danielle.

The food really was great and very reasonably priced for the quality. The service was very attentive I will be back soon.

The menu is small but thoughtful. Our service was excellent. And I loved that the place had an intimate and quiet feel. Don't let the location or parking put you off. There is a nearby parking garage that was perfect. And free.

Staff tried to use red wine glasses for sparkling wine. Scallop entre tasted good but there were only 3 scallops and the sausage was barely visible. We left hungry! One patron ordered the risotto and found the dish lacking flavor and without salt. The salt shaker on the table was empty. Three of the five people were given the wrong desserts. The waitress was competent, however, the waiter although nice was not very competent. We had to request to have the table cleared. We also had to request butter for the bread. My lemon chicken soup was greasy and barely warm. My husband was pleased with the salmon. We enjoyed the passion fruit dessert. The curry soup was excellent.

This was our second visit to Eyrie. Our first time was less than memorable. We've waited quite awhile before returning and it was worth the wait, indeed. The food was excellent, tasty, well-prepared and well-presented. The salmon was wonderfully seasoned and the portion, generous. The bok choy and rice it was served over was the perfect accompaniment. A friend had the spring pea risotto which was also well done. For dessert, we had the passion fruit pot de creme and the s'more cupcake. Creative, interesting and quite good.
Our server was pleasant but did not reflect the training one might expect from a restaurant designed to train people interested in the culinary arts. More supervision might make a difference.
No tipping is allowed but you can make a donation to Robert Morris online or leave cash which goes to the school and not the server. Prices were reasonable and its BYOB. Certainly worth a visit.

I've been to Eyrie twice now, once for lunch and another for dinner. While my food has been disappointing, some of my friends liked their selections. The burger and flat bread were good, but my risotto (dinner) was disappointing with an odd flavor.
For lunch I ordered the marcher its panini and it was rather flavorless and with a poor presentation. My friends lamb stew was pretty good though.
Hope those trainees keep improving!

Tried their Oak Park establishment on a recent Friday night. Server was very knowledgeable and the entree he suggested was quite good including the desert. Overall, a pleasant resaurant experience that I would cpme back recommend for good quality, casual dinning.

because I'm worried that too many people will discover this lovely, little Oak Park eatery and I'll never be able to get a seat again! I've eaten at Eyrie, the culinary laboratory for Robert Morris College, several times, and I have never been disappointed by the experience.

The food is always inventive, tasty, and well-prepared; the ambiance is calm, quiet, and elegant, and the service is never less than competent, friendly, and thoughtful. And if delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and great service isn't enough, you can also know that you're contributing to the culinary aspirations of the outstanding young people enrolled in the Robert Morris program. My gosh, they don't even take gratuities--they just ask that you donate the money to the Robert Morris Culinary Institute!

The only reason I'm giving Eyrie only 4 stars for food this time is because my spicy, sweet fish sandwich was also fried and breaded, something I wasn't expecting. (It is possible that this was mentioned on the menu and I just overlooked it.)

Eyrie has limited hours but if you're someone who enjoys food and who enjoys giving a creative platform to young people who aspire to work with food, I would find time to stop by for lunch--even if it means taking an extra hour off of work.

We had dinner there on Saturday night with a Living Social deal that included two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts. It's a student run restaurant affiliated with Robert Morris College so the menu is limited. I had a sweet potato soup that was excellent and shared some chicken wings- those were a little bland. My risotto was very good though as was one of the desserts (the bread pudding was a little dry). So the food can be a little uneven but the prices are very reasonable and with bringing your own wine and the no tip policy, you can have a very enjoyable, economical dinner out.

We went for the brunch with Santa. The staff was very prepared and had crafts and activities for the kids, which was GREAT! They anticipated a need and came up with a great way to address it. We felt very welcome. The staff tolerated my kids, who tend to have ants in their pants no matter how many times I reign them in. Staff was pleasant. While our server was not the warmest guy, the other servers were and they helped us out a lot, sometimes without being asked. They were attentive. We felt very tended to by everyone that worked there.
It is a small space, but quiet, but there were not a lot of people there when we went. As it filled, the noise level remained low. Even with other parties of large size. The food was very good. Flavored well, but not too much. I am so super picky and they graciously accommodated my finicky palette.
You can't tip, but you make donations to the school. A non-profit, which is explained on cards of information, which I enjoyed reading and having available. It was a very nice experience. I am definitely going to try on a non-event day, as this was an excellent introduction to the place. I recommend you give it a try!

Learned of Eyrie through an Open Table email. It is the culinary school of Robert Morris University and the students run the show. Not many tables, no fussy decorations just great service, a very good meal and low key atmosphere. It is BYOB and the prices were extremely reasonable making for a budget friendly evening. They do not take tips and ask that you make a contribution to the school. Will be recommending this gem to others!

This restaurant has a limited menu. While that is normally a reason to look elsewhere this gives Eyrie the chance to put together an incredible dining experience. The dishes are just the right size to let you try the deserts and not feel like you are stuffed when you get done. What is more amazing thing is, this restaurant is run by college students from beginning to end but the food makes you think you are in a very upscale place.

A tasty meal at a reasonable price. If these students were in the industry, this meal would cost quite a bit more. These are however students so a hiccup is to be expected.
