Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.

Evvia Ratings and Reviews
The service was superb, very professional: 5 stars.
Dining space is just a wee bit cramped, but otherwise the ambiance was pleasant: 4 stars.
Food was good to very good, with just minor nitpicks, but at this price point....
- The lamb on the skewers could have been trimmed a bit more to remove the inedible membrane (silverskin, not fat).
- The lambchops were prepared perfectly, but the only thing on the plate were the chops and two pieces of potato. Whereas the skewers were accompanied by a small salad that brought color and acidity to the party, there was nothing similar with the chops. (This isn't a complaint about the quantity of food, but rather the completeness of the dish).
awesome fine dining place without the pretentiousness, but the with utmost quality of food, taste, and top notch service. also, very good ambience over all, has a nice, cozy vibe. nice lighting, not too bright, and not dark, just right. We had fresh octopus app, and also the artichoke app - both were very good, and very fresh. then we split a brenzino over baked whole fish - was super fresh and moist/tasty. Love this place.
Evvia's is one of my favorite restaurants. The grilled lamb chops are outstanding; it's their most popular entrée. We get the pita bread with tzakiki sauce, which is a great appetizer. And the dessert made with puff pastry and custard inside with pistachio ice cream is my favorite dessert anywhere. Great food - great atmosphere - outstanding service.
We were a little disappointed this Christmas Eve dinner. We usually done at Kokkari but I was not able to get a table. Food was fantastic, the fried smelt, beet salad, and taramasalata. Entrees of mussels and roasted pig was great. Service seemed rushed and disorganized. It took a while to get drinks and the waiter wanted to take our order for appetizers and entrees at the same time. After finishing appetizers, plates were. Lt cleared for 30 seconds and the entrees brought in. No pacing. There was a larger group at the next table that had so many visitors that wanted to loiter and talk, but it made for an irritating dinner. Please do better at guest crowd control. We are veteran Kokkari diners and have been to Evvia several times, it was a bit disappointing.
To my way of thinking, Evvia has the best lamb shank on the planet. I love the unique and redolent blend of spices, the tenderness, the au jus that moistens the perfectly cooked orzo pasta underneath and the most ample serving size. I always have enough for lunch the next day.
Also not to be missed is the heavenly Galaktoboureko. If you usually default to baklava, try this instead. If need be, take more of your entree home for the next day but eat this at the end of your meal with a cup of Greek coffee. Oh, so delicate and delicious.
Been a customer a very long time and feel the service has declined. Used to practice my Greek with our server and never felt rushed but don't feel as welcome and relaxed as in the past. We spent 60
70.00 for lunch which I don't mind BUT I asked the server for a small side of Tzatsiki and she seemed confused/frustrated by the request. I literally asked for an additional tablespoon. She came back and said she could only offer a small place for an additional 4.50...we passed.
Service the past 4 times has been rushed, slow and not very friendly.
I'm so happy your business is good BUT the value has been lost and I feel "herded in and out" lately rather than like I'm visiting my family in Greece.
Evvia is one of my favorite restaurants. The food was terrific, and our server was very attentive. Evvia is a noisy restaurant, but given where we were sitting, my guest and I were able to have a good conversation. The only negative is that parking in Palo Alto is continually getting worse, but that is something about which the restaurant cannot do anything.
Had a birthday lunch with my buddies and the service was wonderful and so was the food. We were seated in a booth and that was such a treat! Thank you to the manager who stopped by our table to answer a question about the flower arrangements and to the waitress who was new but excellent, too.
Overall great night at one of the best restaurants in the area. The mushroom and cheese appetizer was solid but needs more cheese and it needs be melted better i think as well. We ordered two fish entrees which were both phenomenal. The service was good but not great and part of our night was frustrating due to rude guests dining next two us who threw their menu on top of a divider and hit my guest and did the same with their bread. A bit of a nuisance and very rude people.
A busy night, but from the poor table location - near kitchen and wait staff walking lanes - chair bumped numerous time. Loud - silverware noise being sorted/cleaned. Waiters grabbed plates before food done on several occasions. Did bring a small desert - but then rushed us out without offering coffee or an after dinner drink. All nite it was about moving us along fast. Our main server was good - food excellent. Not our first visit - had many good ones - but it is likely our last.
I have been to Evvia many times lamb dishes are the best. This time around the octopus was not as good. I must said with many times there this time the service was the worst ...the waiter John Russell was very rushing and overall RUDE I never ever complained about any waiter services at any restaurants this is my First.
