Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.

I've been to Evvia three times now and have my favorites. It does not disappoint EVER. The ambiance is great, the service exemplary, the food to die for, and the price very reasonable. My favorite place to go or bring someone to impress with great tasting food. Exemplary restaurant.

Consistently outstanding food. There was nothing our table didn't LOVE - from apps to main entrees, even the coffee after the meal.

They were really nice about pushing back our reservation, even though they were very busy. Wonderful food and great service!

My friend and I went for Mezethes only as it was already quite late. There was plenty to choose from and we were very happy with our choices, especially the Crispy Zucchini Cakes, which were divine. Very good olive was served. Although the sourdough that was served was excellent, something Greek would have been nicer. We had each a glass of white wine from Santorini, which was a very good recommendation from our waiter. Altogether, a really enjoyable dinner and we will be back for a full meal as soon as possible.

We were first seated in the middle of the dining room, and before the waiteress even arrived, we realized the noise level was going to be way beyond "our less than perfect hearing level." One of our party requested that we be moved to a smaller table in a less active part of the restaurant, and we were quickly swished to a much quieter spot and from then on, everything and everyone was perfect: the service, the food, the ambience. We shall return soon. Thank you.

We had a wonderful dinner, fantastic service - prompt and immediate, food was excellent.
We were seated in a very bad place near the kitchen and were moved immediately without questioning to a better table.
One setback: very surprised that had no birthday treat!? For example, we celebrated our anniversary there 2 months prior, and received complimentary dessert. This time nothing was offered.

Otherwise best place to celebrate my birthday.

The food was outstanding and cooked to perfection. What really brought all together for us was their friendly staff. Our waitress was a gem. She made suggestions for us while we struggled with so many wonderful choices that we truly enjoyed.

Consistently good food at reasonable prices. Grilled fish is always succulent and tasty and the lamb shank is a perennial favorite. Taramosalata with warm pita is a great way to start with the grilled octopus, which is delicious. One of the better restaurants in the valley.

We're from Greece, and Evvia and Kokkari are the only restaurants that really hit the nail on the head as far as authentic Greek food is concerned.

Evvia never disappoints, that's probably why it is impossible to get a same day reservation. The standards on the menu are very good, the whole fish selections generally outstanding. Hot spot in Palo Alto. Been coming for 10 years, is always good to great.

My husband and I love coming here for special occasions (anniversaries, birthdays, and when his mom is in town). We love the saghanaki (fried cheese...OMG...so good!), the arnisia padakia (lamb chops), and the chocoalate lava cake/sokalatina. Nowhere else compares to their chocolate lava cake! However, we discovered the filo dough filled with vanilla creme dessert (their most popular dessert) and have a new favorite. You won't go wrong here! The food, service, ambiance is the best!

My son (10) and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Evvia last Saturday night. The atmosphere makes you feel as though you are in a restaurant in Greece. Our server was attentive, helpful, and even took time to teach us a few phrases of Greek, when we asked for them. The mussel appetizer was "nostimo!" as was the lamb shank and lamp chops. Although stuffed, we split a dessert of what had to be the best homemade cherry ice cream and a warm chocolate cake. I would recommend this restaurant for a jovial special occasion or a fabulous date night.

I'm not from the area, but was looking to treat my team at work to a special dinner. I found Evvia online and from the reviews I read, this place sounded ideal. Turns out the food and the service were impeccable. Everyone at the table devoured their food. The arugula pesto ravioli, with wild mushrooms and spring vegetables, was hands-down the best ravioli I’ve tasted. And the service *almost* overshadowed the food. We couldn’t have been better taken care of. 5 stars all the way!!

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Admittedly I haven't been to too many Greek restaurants before but Evvia certainly was worth it. The ambiance is very inviting and the interior is well-decorated. Service was great and the food was fantastic, highly recommended!

We were 5 minutes late for our reservation and I think they gave our table away because we had to wait 25 minutes. We were comped several appetizers though of the hosts choice...things I might not have otherwise tried, so that made it at least alright. I had the lamb loin chops which were excellent. There is a desert here that I cannot pernounce, but it begins with a "O". It is custand baked in filo dough dusted with powdered sugar and served with pistachio ice cream. It is one of the best deserts I have ever had in my life.

I made our reservation through Open Table. I made our reservation about a week+ in advance. The day before, the restaurant called to confirm our reservation, which I did. I specifically asked for a table where it was "warm" due to cool weather. When we arrived, we were offered 3 tables, all three of which would have been suitable for someone who hadn't made a reservation. Two of the tables were right in the "wind path" of the opening entrance door. The third table was almost in the kitchen with bustling waiters going past the table. We sat at the table in the "waiter path". We noticed a table that was opening up, and asked to be reseated, we were. After that, all was ok.

I've been to Evvia twice now and each time it was a totally great experience. The food is excellent. I have also been pleased with the wine list. Great wine by the glass to complement the food. The service is very good. It is always crowded and I see why. I am looking forward to coming back.

Evvia continues to impress me with the quality of it's food and incredible service. Best upscale Greek restaurant in the Bay Area. I always get the lamb chops entree, but make it a point to try new items on their appetizer menu. The beet dish with skordalia is not to be missed. I try to go every year for our anniversary, and for other special occasions. Make your reservations well in advance - this restaurant is a Silicon Valley favorite.

Disappointed with the grilled octopus but the lamb chops and roast suckling pig were very good,as was the galaktoboureko dessert. Waitress was knowledgeable and efficient.

Not happy that we had to wait ten minutes for a table for a 6:30 reservation.

The service and staff were wonderful. We ran late because of the parking challenge. They were understanding and did not even threaten canceling our reservation. Our server was professional, warm and knowledgeable about the menu. The bread and olive oil are very tasty. The food all came out together-perfectly cooked. My favorite is the homemade yogurt and honey. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Just order what you like. It is nice to know that after many years since I have been, still turns out fantastic food and service.

We ordered the mussels for first course and the grilled Bronzino fish for second. Before the second course we were informed that our fish was overcooked and while we waited the manager asked if we would like an arugula salad or another choice. And so without charge we enjoyed a delicious arugula, apple and candied walnut salad each before our delicious Bronzino appeared. That's class!
