Waiter kept trying to rush us out so was extremely frustrating. Criticized what we had ordered and was trying to push us to more expensive options. Bill was 100 bucks per head so it wasn’t exactly cheap. Not impressed and I had been excited to go for some time. Perhaps we were not the right clientele.
The service was superb, very professional: 5 stars.
Dining space is just a wee bit cramped, but otherwise the ambiance was pleasant: 4 stars.
Food was good to very good, with just minor nitpicks, but at this price point....
- The lamb on the skewers could have been trimmed a bit more to remove the inedible membrane (silverskin, not fat).
- The lambchops were prepared perfectly, but the only thing on the plate were the chops and two pieces of potato. Whereas the skewers were accompanied by a small salad that brought color and acidity to the party, there was nothing similar with the chops. (This isn't a complaint about the quantity of food, but rather the completeness of the dish).
awesome fine dining place without the pretentiousness, but the with utmost quality of food, taste, and top notch service. also, very good ambience over all, has a nice, cozy vibe. nice lighting, not too bright, and not dark, just right. We had fresh octopus app, and also the artichoke app - both were very good, and very fresh. then we split a brenzino over baked whole fish - was super fresh and moist/tasty. Love this place.
