Bootleggers Prohibition Pub in Worcester, Massachusetts celebrates the towns history during a time when alcohol was illegal but far from out of style. The bar here serves gin, whiskey, vodka, rum, tequila and moonshine. There are countless specialty drinks that can be made from these liquors, too. The bees knees, for example, is Bombay Sapphire Gin, lemon juice, honey and orange juice.
There is some delectable food at Bootleggers Prohibition Pub, too. Try the Italian meatballs (you get three with one order), the clam strips or the pretzel sticks. If youre too hungry for an appetizer, the fish tacos at Bootleggers Prohibition Pub will definitely hit the spot.
Guacamole was delicious, burgers are large. Order a side salad with the burger and it's as big as a regular salad!
I have eaten at Evo several times and the food is always excellent. The menu is very diverse and no matter what entrée I have tried, it is always great!! I would highly recommend it for special occasions because of the atmosphere which is very comfortable.
My favorite place. Extensive menu, nice ambiance and great service
We invited friends who totally agreed. The food was yummy and we look forward to dining there again
We had a reservation and we were seated right away. The staff was cheerful, the menu was extensive with lots of options and the decor was modern/stylish.
I wanted to keep it simple so I opted for the Mac and cheese with chicken. It was delicious and the arancini for appetizers was scrumptious. They have a lot of vegetarian dishes so if your a vegetarian, this will be a good choice .
The food was great, the service was pretty good, the environment was nice. The only complaint: Ordered an iced tea, and unfortunately it tasted like coffee. I couldn't drink it, but the waiter gladly swapped it with a Coke (I was still charged for the iced tea which was 25 cents more expensive. A quibble, but still.)
Great food, service and not badly priced. Being lactose intolerant, they had a great selection for me. More dairy free desserts would be great though. 5 stars.
Only had time for a quick lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Menu has enough variety to please the family and diverse. I took the advice of previous reviewers and ordered the arancini appetizer...very good and not at all greasy. Ordered salads which were good portions and very fresh tasting. Looking forward to returning to try the quesdaillas, ciabatta sandwhiches and stone baked pizzas, even the gourmet mac and cheese looked enticing. Service was great and restaurant was very clean.
Great place for a family, we have a vegetarian and non-vegetarians and everyone can find things they like.
I always love EVO and the menu has SO many options, and tons of gluten free options as well! One of my favorite spots in Worcester!
Great menu selections, this place has something for everyone! Arranchini was the best I've ever had. Sheppards Pie was even better than my Mom's. Salad was fresh, sandwiches were so tasty and creative. We will be back!
My wife and I haven't been to EVO since earlier this year, so decided to check out Friday night. Luckily made an OT reservation and got a great table at 7:00. If want something "fancy" EVO is not your spot, but if want "over the top" food in a fun eccletic setting this is your place. Whether its "simple burgers or mac n cheese" (nothing simple about either gourmet is more like it) or a full course dinner ranging from fish to short ribs (specials menu had 5 choices, I had the ciabatta sandwich which was incredible).
If a fan of Triple D's this would fit the food aspect first hand and give you a"little" more upscale setting for dining.
We had a fattoush salad and a pizza which we shared, and both were excellent. The salad was freshly made and we liked everything about the pizza, cheese, dough, toppings. The service was excellent. We were there quite early so it was nice and quiet.
Prior to a concert at the DCU, we had dinner and drinks at EVO. Everything was pretty good. The people were nice, it was clean and well decorated, and the food was good. Nothing was spectacular, but was not really expecting it to be. Roasted garlic bulb, Grilled Avocado Salad, Build-Your-Own Quesadilla, and a Vegan Parmigiano. Plus ice cream and a fruit cobbler for dessert. I would recommend as a good place to start if you are in the area for a concert/event.
We didn't realize it was restaurant week, so got a bargain for the always great food. Good service even with the extra crowds.
I love this place. It is my absolute favorite. Whenever someone asks me where to go for dinner this is the first place that always pops into my mind. Super consistent and fantastic food. I have been going for a few years now and their fantastic food has not changed one bit, it's still great!
Dinner was amazing as usual. Good here is always high quality and made with care. Staff is usually good but during this last visit the level of attention improved greatly which was appreciated.
Wonderful experience! Everyone's food was excellent, service was great!
great freshly cooked food, nice variety, a little pricey. Make a reservation. For dinner it gets crowded after 5:30 pm.
Arrived with an open table reservation requesting to sit in main restaurant - not in entry way tables, host staff was very rude. Manager was accommodating but after waiting , having issues and then finally being sat, the manager never visited the table once (comped appetizers but frankly a personal visit would have gone farther - wasn't interested in anything free, would have meant more if she had checked in). They were out of several things on the menu - food and liquor alike (very frustrating)
. It's a shame, we liked the food, the server did a good job but the overall experience was negative due to the many issues we had. Would I recommend...not sure I would.
We had a reservation and arrived a little bit early. Desat us right away and the service was very quick. Our server gladly explained all the items on the menu we had questions about. Everything that we ordered was deliciouswe would definitely return
Loved the food. Great drinks too. But man is this place noisy! I honestly couldn't hear my date sitting across from me. From now on, don't allow noisy people in! (Just kidding. But it was like a barnyard.)
We've eaten at Evo numerous times over the past 5 years and always had great service and food. However, we waited an hour for our lunch to arrive on our most recent visit. The place was busy but not packed, so it's difficult to understand why there was a holdup. Otherwise, it was enjoyable as usual.
Evo makes the most delicious salad and pizza. This is the second time I have eaten there and the Mediterranean Salad continues to be YUMMY! The dressing is so tasty and the salad is loaded with artichokes and feta cheese. The Greek pizza is also loaded with toppings, just like I would make at home.
Food at Evo was outstanding. Had appetizers and dinner and both were delicious! Service was top-notch.
(About 1hr) to get our food...at 3:00pm. Not a time where it was busy. And it was expensive. 5 people (4 burgers and a salad. One appetizer. 4 sodas & one well drink. 2 deserts and 5 coffees)..and the total with a tip was...$170.00
Knowing it was a busy Saturday evening I tried to cut them some slack. The greeting was abrupt and for a first impression, poor. Had to wait 20 mins for a reserved table. The table was set with no knives and we had to ask for them once dinner was started. Wine was $9 a glass, first glass had been open to long, second was drinkable. No hidden gems on the wine list. After an hour wait for dinner, the salad was fresh but only mainstream, and the entree of the special was fair but served barely warm. the ginger ice cream at the end of the meal was outstanding.
Not going back, I wanted to like this place, and tired. Just can't.
Love this restaurant for the interesting, delicious and well presented food. Being a vegetarian, the best part is the vegan/vegetarian option on many of the menu items!
Wait staff was helpful and attentive. Appetizers were great as was the pizza we shared for the table. Stir fry was incredible. Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.
Good food although the wait for the food was quite long. Also for some reason they put my girlfriend and I in the dining area near the entrance on a very cold night. There was plenty of seating in the main dining area which was much warmer.
Had a very good breakfast here. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, homefries, & toast, which was good. My husband's bacon & cheese omelet was ok.
I ALWAYS love EVO. My boyfriend and I both have gluten intolerances and EVO has so many awesome options. Huge menu and unique items.
Makes it fun for us looking to eat vegetarian. It is a bit expensive for what you get, but I will be back to try more dishes.
EVO gets lots of votes in local opinion polls about Worcester's best restaurant. Our review...good not great. It hasn't replaced any of our local favorites.
Great variety of choices, knowledgable and friendly staff. This is one of my favorite places in Worcester, I go here very often and have yet to be disappointed!
EVO is like a neighborhoot gem as I listed in the recommendation. Very clean inside, modern, an excellent wine list. And they cater to people with allergies and/or gluten issues. Can't wait to go back!!
We dine at EVO a lot. It's one of our favorite restaurants. The staff are always friendly. They are knowledgeable about the menu as well as guests food sensitivities and allergies. There is something for everyone on the menu; vegetarians, gluten free, and carnivores alike. EVO also does a nice brunch on Sunday. If you haven't tried it yet, you should.
The food here was amazing and the service was top notch even with 2 kids both with allergies. There are lots of gluten & nut free options and everything was delicious!
The three of us were out for an early dinner. We had three great meals. Steak, eggplant, and a burger. All were nicely prepared and there was plenty of eggplant for lunch the next day. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The staff had the restaurant sing happy birthday to the chef. A pleasant evening. We will definitely be back!!
