The food is amazing, but the service is terrible. Needs to improve for me to come back.
I came with my husband and toddler for Saturday Brunch and it was wonderful. The food (although pricey) was delicious and most dishes were creative/different. Small menu which was nice, everything was delicious, light and fresh. The food came out quick, the bloody mary was delicious and we really enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be going back!
A must try! Beautiful setting and ambience, delicious food and tasty drinks. Had a bit of an issue with the pork chop being fatty but the server swapped it out for something else. The service was a bit spotty but they did have a private party in the garden room.
Both food and service were amazing.
We went on NYE, booking experience was very easy and we had a great booth for our group of 6. Service was great but he was a friend so no surprises there. We have been before and had an incredible experience, but on this night the food was average and not the standard we'd had previously. Understandably they raised the prices on NYE, but the food portions were smaller and the quality wasn't as good which was a little disappointing. Would go here again because we love the atmosphere, but perhaps on a quieter night where the quality would be better.
Overall a really nice New Year’s Eve dinner. I’d love to go when it’s not a holiday. The service was good but definitely seemed a bit strained due to how busy things were. The drinks were excellent and when my date didn’t like her first choice the waiter nicely got us her second choice.
The pasta dish I had was a bit dry, but it was tasty enough.
I’d definitely go back and see if I can change my four stars to five.
New Years Eve
Arrived for a late lunch at 215. Didnt get food until 3 even though restaurant was half empty and we ordered eggs and salads. Server was nice enough to cover a round of drinks to compensate but it was still just very irritating esp as we saw tables before us being served while we waited. Decor and space is light and welcoming
I hate sounding like a complainer, but it’s hot and cold with the service here. I love the food and the ambiance and the location of Eveleigh, but the service is always the worst. It took just about under 10 minutes to get someone to come say hi or bring water. Our waitress was very nice, but I think she took our order and never stopped by the check on us or offer more drinks. Kinda stinks that the servers are eventually going to ruin how great of a restaurant Eveleigh is!
We had a gorgeous dinner. Blown away by the food.
Amazing food. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The restaurant looks like it could use a little upgrade but overall I would totally go back.
Went for dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Very quiet and low-key. The staff was very friendly, and I was able to sit out on the back patio. I watched the sun go down over Sunset as I enjoyed a glass of wine. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. It was also nice because they didn't make me feel like a "out-of-towner".
Great food, good drinks, wonderful setting. They only missed giving the birthday girl some kind of recognition, as I had placed notice of it in the reservation.
Solid all around restaurant. Food is very fresh and well executed. I do, however, hate when a restaurant serves soup and then want to charge for bread (same for salad — in fact, just don’t charge for bread unless there is something extraordinary about it.).
Food and service was really good - huge portions!
Great place! Only thing I would suggest is a little more light. It was a little too dark and it was hard to read the menu. Excellent staff!
Had our reservation at 7:45 PM. got seated at 7:50 PM. Water poured a few minutes later. Then the wait began and we watched the waiter walk past us, take care of the 3 young women next to us who already ate and the waiter spent lots of time with them getting them ready to eat another round with new plates, drinks and food. We watched with amazement that we had not even been asked what to drink. I was getting the Rose, but could not get a waiter even as late as 8:15 PM. My husband was also with me waiting and finally at 8:20 got up and we went to petite four on Sunset. I do not plan to return even though we wanted to retry the restaurant after a few years.
Excellent food, small well thought-out menu. Great bar service, small batch specialty cocktails were in order. Enjoyed the ambience, outdoor seating was pleasant. Very clean, upscale, and delicious food for the price.
The menu is a little confused and that comes through in the execution too - ham donuts with maple butter sounded adventurous and fun but at best it was a DIY brioche ham sandwich. Our most enjoyable dish was the truffle fries and the lamb meatballs which had a good depth of flavour and arrived hot and succulent. I could have easily left everything else.
The cocktails I was excited by the ingredients listed but were not delicious enough to order seconds.
If you’re looking for a buzzy garden bar to enjoy with a group of friends, and not fussed about food, I’d say it’s a great place. If you’re after a foodie sensation with good drinks and chat with your dining partner - head somewhere else. It’s got potential overall and the staff were lovely but afraid to say I wouldn’t rush back.
All of the servers are amazing people... And the food is delicious, so that’s a bonus ;)
Always great food, Eveleigh has become my preferred first night back in LA - a Johnny Hammersticks or two to smooth out the jet lag, and the truffle fries and bone in steak are always crowd pleasers...
Good service but quality of the kitchen has gone downhill.
I detest restaurants that welcome you by saying, "Is everyone in your party here?" And "We cannot seat you unless you are all here." It's so unnecessary and pretentious. "I have a reservation, they will be here, I would like to sit down and NO I son't want to sit at the bar." Why is this so hard to do?
Also, your food is just bleh...so there is that too.
Good food and great service from Johan our waiter....
He recommended great vegan options for my date which turn out to be to my liking also. Great atmosphere and valet parking!
Hostess confirmed reservation with me the day before and when we arrived surprised us with no seating available in the main dining area because of big groups. Then, one hour after we arrived and as we left, we looked in the main dining area and found 3 different two-tops available. I don't like liars. Waitress and bus-help were fantastic as was the food, but won't be back. Don't go if you prefer honesty from the reservation desk.
Service was extremely slow and borderline rude, kept forgetting our orders, and we got the blame look as if it were our fault. A sorry could have gone a long way! Nice place but the food is average at best, and totally overpriced.
I LOVED Eveleigh. I loved the design, the layout, the ambiance, the employees, the service, the menu, the food, the drinks - am I missing anything? I pretty much loved it all. I would go here all the time if I lived closer!! Can't wait to find an excuse to make the drive and go back.
Great food. Great atmosphere
Eveleigh never disappoints, such a nice place!
I love this place. The food is great - the ambiance on the patio is even better.
The service was the thing that stood out the most. The hostess was VERY accommodating, kind, and friendly. We were a little early for our reservation and sat at the back bar for a cocktail. The bartender asked me what kinds of things I liked and then made me a favorite from "the secret menu", an espresso martini. Once we sat we had a delicious lunch, the truffle aioli fries and the crispy farro bowl are a must. 10/10 would go back.
The food was terrible. Super salty and when we complained, the manager responded that this is their food. The drinks were good. We were brought a second round without ordering, and then charged for it. Fine. 3 out of 5 meals were inedible, the only thing comped was the truffle fries. To make up for it, a fantastic replacement waiter brought us their entire dessert menu. That was wonderful since most of us were still starving. Overall, it's a pretty place but they need to work on their food and customer service.
The staff was very unfriendly and arrogant. We didn‘t felt welcome at all. When the staff noticed that we werde finished they really tried to get us out of that place to get new customers in. The food was overpriced and nothing special. Overall a poor experience.
Excellent food with great ambiance. Sat in back dining room with great view. Bartenders were very friendly.
We won’t be back ever. Inattentive service server didn’t come by our table for about 12min after being seated; took another 10minutes to bring menus. The server was busy doing nothing but being rude. The food came out about 22 minutes after we ordered. All the food came out separately. Avocado toast, grilled cheese, two eggs-bacon , potatas bravas, chicken sausage. The food was embarrassingly subpar. The service was soooo bad i had to walk to the hostess and kindly ask for a orange juice refill. The bartender was cool and upbeat. Bloody Mary was made delicious. Other then that the food sucks and service is beyond horrible.
Such amazing food, great drinks, beautiful restaurant, and great service. If you're going to be in the area, this is a must. Absolutely will be back.
Very nice open air canopy seating. Our server and the entire wait staff were very polite and attentive. Will be coming back again!
When we first walked in the place was so inviting, the energy very upbeat, the staff friendly. It's very noisy but fun. Wouldn't go there for a quiet conversation. The food was good but not excellent, and I felt it was overpriced. The hanger steak was stringy. The lamb meatball appetizer was awesome. The biggest disappointments were the desserts (pound cake a stiff mass, overly sweet. Lime pie had a strange taste, terrible texture). Drinks are expensive and tiny.
