Eurasia Cafe & Wine Bar - Virginia Beach Ratings and Reviews
The Beef Carpaccio is my fave world over, but I also HAVE to have the beer and bursts salad! We also had the crab cakes....oh my, the sauce and tiny mushrooms! The Duck Confit Shepard’s Pie was loaded with flavor...could’ve used a little more duck and a little less potatoes....but still delicious! Thank you, Harry, for your awesome service!
I've been here twice in the past month and both experiences were wonderful. The ambience and service is excellent, but the food is out standing! The menu has wide array of dishes that are hard to choose from. The scallops are amazing, raw oysters, octopus appetizer and truffle mac and cheese are all delicious. Carrot cake was to die for and the wine list is really great.
I really wanted to like this place as it was rated as the #1 spot on Open Table when I made the reservation, unfortunately it didn’t live up to it for us. Don’t get me wrong, you will have a nice meal and will enjoy it if you dine here, it just didn’t leave me with any “wow” moments.
Location: location is easy to find. Located in a strip mall, but that shouldn’t deter you.
Service: they lost me here. The hostess welcomed us quickly and offered us a couple of seating choices (which was nice). We were offered high top table or a normal table along a wall. We opted for the normal table, mainly because a fine dining experience should not include dangling one’s legs.... Our waitress eventually made her way over to our table, but overal didn’t give us the experience I would normally expect for a place rated #1. There were several long delays and much of that was spent attending to the 4 top next to us. There was a disproportionate effort between the two tables. When the staff was with us they were quite helpful in navigating the menu. They were pleasant and otherwise the service was fine, just not at the level of a top tier restaurant for us.
Food: We started with the calamari which were quite nice. Very nice, light texture with a nice sauce. I then had the Hot & Sour Soup. I will admit that I am not a hot and sour connoisseur, but this was a nice soup. Not much taste at the front of the tongue, but then a very nice tang. For a main course I had the glazed ahi tuna which had a mushroom risotto and Brussels. The fish was cooked nicely and had a nice flavor, but didn’t “wow” me. The risotto was nice, but unfortunately the Brussels had zero flavor. In today’s world of “who knew Brussels Sprouts could be awesome” these were a big miss. My wife had the shrimp & grits which were really just ok.
Overall, you will have a nice meal, but I don’t need to go back before hitting all the other great places around.
Went to Eurasia for an early birthday. Everything we ordered was phenomenal! I have been to Eurasia in the past and occasionally go to their wine dinners (which are always amazing), but have not gone for just dinner in a while. The service was great and as previously stated the food was fantastic! I highly recommend going to Eurasia and “treating yo self”. Be sure to bring a healthy appetite so you can enjoy the full experience including an appetizer and dessert!
My husband and I were visiting from out of town. I had read very good reviews about this restaurant online and we made a reservation. At first when we got there I was not sure we made the right choice because the restaurant is in a strip mall, but once we got inside and were seated and looked at the menu we knew we made the right choice. The waiter we had was excellent. He was well informed on the whole menu and answered all of our questions. The food was excellent. Everything was fresh. We have been to several other restaurants when visiting Virginia Beach, but this is now our favorite and we plan on going back next year when we visit. I highly recommend.
The food was outstanding. Best filet I have had in a long time. Oysters were delicious, had both raw and fried. First server was a gentleman with rough edges. My daughter is gluten free and he seemed annoyed with that. She was very polite in inquiring about the menu and since Eurasia came out when I googled gluten free I wasn't expecting the attitude. When a very nice woman took over our table, she might have been the manager the overall experience was much more pleasant and he seemed to even improve. Also drinks can be made without certain ingredients, if made fresh.....just saying.....
As usual Eurasia did not disappoint. We enjoyed our meal and our server was terrific. Additionally, one of the senior servers recognized us and treated us like family. We enjoyed complimentary glasses of pro secco. Our dinners were really delicious, as we expected them to be! We can always rely on Eurasia for a wonderful dining experience.
