All great except for a party of 6 women across from us that only had one volume... LOUD, and they all talked at the same time. Our server apologized for the noise and offered us another table. We declined, as we had just received our entrees. Not the restaurant’s fault. Just unfortunate timing. We will definitely return to this fine venue.
Fantastic food & service in a romantic atmosphere.
Unfortunately I could have had a better experience if they had not disregarded my allergy to garlic with caused me to be in severe discomfort for the rest of the night !
What a great experience! Wait staff awesome food amazing and the dessert room afterwards was superb! Will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!
Excellent from beginning to end.
It’s always a special occasion when you dawn the doorstep of this quaint and fabulous restaurant. Ambiance 10 out of 10, Service a 10, menu a 10, food and portions a 10. Don’t forget to go to the Haye Loft for a fabulous dessert or a drink at the bar and fabulous entertainment. Lighter menu upstairs too. It is the best on the west! (Coast of Florida)
I honestly do not understand the hype surrounding this restaurant. Dated decor, mediocre food and disinterested service with a big dose of attitude.
We have waited years to go here with some visiting relatives. The meal was amazing from appetizer to dessert. It will be our anniversary destination from now on!! Service was impeccable, the entrees unforgetable and the desserts , melt in your mouth!
This was one of our most memorable evenings in the area. The food and service were fabulous!
Wonderful meal as always. Only disappointment was that our reservation time was changed from 9p to 8p without our knowledge.
What a treat this was. We were first time visitors at Euphemia Haye. Celebrating our anniversary, they were incredibly accommodating. They held the best table in the house for us with a “Happy Anniversary” sign. They had a bottle of Silver Oak waiting at our table (as requested) and the Duck, Caesar salad and the entire meal was outstanding.
The place was a refreshing throwback. And we will be back as we loved it!
One of my most favorite restaurants & it was great as ever!!
Great menu selection and make sure not to miss the dessert bar!!
This was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely outstanding and so creative. My compliments to Chef Ray!
I’m a bit of a foodie and really enjoy going out for dinner. This was Absolutely one of my finest experiences ever! One of my top 3 restaurants of all time!
Birthday dinner. This was our first time at Euphemia Haye - Loved it! Will go back for special occasions.
An absolutely delicious dinner in a wonderful ambiance. Would highly recommend!
The service with Brian was impeccable. Servings were generous and superb! Highly recommended
The food preparation was less than expected. The fried green tomato appetizer was soggy as were the Brussels sprout side. The house special duck was overdone and dry. The service and ambiance were fine.
Having been there before while on vacation we returned to be disappointed. The fried green tomatoes were cooked to a crisp swimming in a sauce. Although I anticipated the veal special it too was swimming in a sauce which was over the top. The truffle potatoes were the only good part of the meal. My husbands fish was good but he did request any sauces on the side which may have helped my dish. The service and our server were great and attentive. I think less sauce would make these dishes better.
Great steak with their special peppercorn sauce. Caesar salad was nice and cold with a chilled spoon. Upstairs desert room a must!
always a special place to dine. Excellent food and ambience
Outstanding food and service in a very relaxing, refreshing atmosphere. Beautiful presentation of each dish.
One of our favorite places on the island! Went upstairs to dessert room this time. Yummy!
Love the food and staff
We have read about this place and finally decided to give it a try. The ambiance is nice but it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. My husband had a veal special and I had the pistachio encrusted snapper. Both meals were good but not over the top as expected. Everything is Ala carte. The entree and wine prices are definitely not shy. Would not make a return trip.
Perfect dinner location. The restaurant is very intimate and the food is excellent. The upstairs dessert room completes an extraordinary experience!
Euphemia Haye never disappoints. The food was cooked to perfection, the drinks were excellent and the service is beyond compare. If you are looking for the perfect place for a special occasion or a get together with friends, look no further.
Great dinner and dessert ! Glad we heard about this hidden gem.
The best meal in long boat key. Not to be missed! The snapper was perfection. The desserts were amazing. Everything served was perfection
We were greeted by an older gentleman with a “YEAH?” To which the 4 in our party said hi/hello and the man just stayed quiet, staring at us. We awkwardly let him know we had reservations and he proceeding, without saying a word, to gather our menus and we followed him to our table. We eat out a lot, and that was the coldest welcome we’ve ever had at a restaurant, especially with such high ratings. Table was lovely and the ambience is really nice. The food is ok, for example, the duck, which is their signature dish, was dry and the skin wasn’t crispy, still soft and fatty, but the orange sauce and stuffing were delicious and overall is was an ok dish. Cocktails were good, we had martinis and a nice bottle of wine. Now the dessert room... so overhyped! Chocolate cake was so bland and dry and the banana’s foster, goodness, the bananas were cold and hard and the syrup taste artificial. I’m honestly baffled because it’s such an easy. Simple and forgiving recipe with rum brown sugar and butter, but they did not get that right. The staff (besides host) were very sweet and we had a great night, after all, we are in Longboat on vacation. We spent around $600 (with wines and cocktail) and we expected better but it was still a great night for us. We won’t return.
I was excited to go back to this iconic restaurant on Saturday night since our last experience was less than favorable. We ended up getting the same server who gave us the exact same horrible experience as the last time we were in. Low energy, no recommendations and basically an attitude that we were doing him a favor by being here. My wife ordered a half order of Gnocchis and he seemed to mock her for the selection.
Food arrived and plates were all handed to me to distribute. Salads came and a few plates with forks were put in the middle of the table, a help yourself salad bar would have been more enjoyable. Food: Gnocchi was over cooked, duck was dry and overall a bad experience. My daughter asked for a piece of cake from upstairs and the helpful waiter said we could only get what was on the menu downstairs but we could go upstairs if we wanted other deserts. We said we didn't want to go upstairs, he said he couldn't help us out. I asked for the check and called the manger.
He told me we should have been served anything from upstairs but that was the opposite of what we heard, honestly the waiter just wanted us to go home, most have been a tough evening with it being tourist season.
in summary, low energy waiters, overcooked food is the recipe from this tired old place. I think they believe their reputation should make us diners thank them for allowing them in the door....My honest suggestion would be for them to change their staff, buy new carpet or flooring (modernize), and spend a little money on their house. I won't be back! Terrible experience in a city with so many fantastic options.
It. Overrated! High price, no personality waiter, forgot my drink!?
Wonderful food and service! The veal was outstanding.
For such a special occasion, it was ok. We were married 25 years, told the waiter; but nothing special was even offered. The food was good, but I thought overpriced. The waiter was very good-liked him very much. I would recommend, because it was different; but I think there are other restaurants that seem more “special”. I think this is more of an everyday, expensive meal.
Like always great meal great place and my favorite
It’s a great experience to share with my guest
Delicious food, superb service, wonderful ambiance
Everything about our visit was exceptional. The snails, pepper steak, truffle potatoes - all amazing. Highly recommend a visit!
Second time here this year. Came for early Easter Sunday dinner. Great table with garden view. Great salad. Great gnocchi pasta dish. A little heavy with sauce. Lamb shank a bit dry but OK. Green beans soft overcooked. Went upstairs for dessert. Made mistake and ordered bananas foster. Not up to our standards from Brennans in New Orleans. Too sweet....not done well. Its a lovely place with great staff and friendly head chef who visits every table. Will try again.
Outstanding! Service, ombience, food, presentation. A delight to go back to a restaurant I went to 25 years ago and it’s still a 5 ⭐️In every day!
