The food was excellent! Highly recommend getting a side of Brussels sprouts, no matter what!
We tried Etta for the first time on my wife's birthday and I think this is now her favorite restaurant. The food and service were top notch. We're looking forward to sharing this restaurant with family and friends.
Enjoyed lunch @ Etta’s. Split a delicious seasonal salad then I had
Small menu with very eclectic ingredient choices which we felt masked the taste of the main entree/ingredient. For instance, the clam chowder had a drizzle of something green which to me tasted a bit like lime at least acidic. The bacon bits worked fine.
Stopped in for brunch on a Sunday. Had the Banana Nut Bread for starters. The best Banana Bread on the planet! If you go here, you must order this side. For the main meal we had the Pike Place Crepe (very good) and the Fried Green Tomato Benedict (just OK). Also had an East Indian influenced special (pictured). Curry-based Risotto with Black Cod and Poached Eggs. This has got to be one of the most unusual brunch combos I've ever eaten. It was fantastic. The one downer was the new Smashed Fried Potato side they are serving. Some kind of baked potato that is deep fried. It was absolutely terrible. Sub something else if you see this on your menu choice. I don't understand how this made it on the menu. Nuke the potatoes and you can't go wrong. Service, as usual, was excellent.
Delicious. Highly recommend the steamed clams. The broth is different & delicious. The rub salmon was also very good.
Our server lacked general polish and professionalism (she dropped a few things, forgot a couple of things, didn't seem motivated). The men's washroom could use a thorough cleaning. The food was salty and limp. Overall the experience was fair.
Goldfinch is a little more expensive but vastly more pleasant, with a similar location and menu.
The dinner was Charming and Etta’s consistently has great food.
1) Food is spectacular.
2) Awesome place for a Lunch.
3) Great location in Downtown Seattle, just north of the Market.
*Would comment that a little less Waiter attention is necessary, when it's clearly a business meeting. Kept asking us how we were doing every 5 minutes... interrupting the flow of our conversations. No biggie, just an observation for the future - Still a fantastic spot - Thanks
We had dinner for my dad’s birthday before a show
Well if you don't mind one $25 crab cake with some risotto for lunch-you'll enjoy this. The mandatory 20 % gratuity that is tacked on to every check is outrageous. Even for a party of 3. I was always under the impression that tipping for service is optional and up to the customer. I will probably go elsewhere for my next lunch near Pike Place Market.
Delicious food, very helpful and friendly service. Super pricey. I had the scallops over fennel and beans (3 scallops/order) with a side order of bread. One drink. No dessert. Bill was over $50. For one person. Totally worth a splurge, but very expensive.
Overall great experience. The food was great and the service was excellent. Jennifer knew her stuff and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect.
I was recommend to his place for sure.
Hadn’t been here in a long time. Service was great, our server was attentive and helpful. Brussels sprouts were phenomenal, definitely best part of the meal. Unfortunately the signature salmon dish was overcooked and dry. Maybe an off night, hope so.
It was a great evening with great food and service! Thanks so much to Andrew who reached out to us personally to attend to dietary needs. We love Etta's and will return when we come back to town!
Etta's menu is small, but everything on the menu is phenomenal. My boyfriend and I ordered oysters, crab cake, and the salmon, all of which were very tasty. The service is also great and the view is beautiful, especially on a busy weekend in Pike Place. My only criticism is the price. The food is very expensive for the amount you get, which is understandable for the main entrees being high-quality, fresh seafood. But even the sides (e.g. cornbread, risotto) come in small portions, so don't come too hungry!
Love your place. Always come back.
Best salmon in town.
The salmon with Rub With Love seasoning was amazing; salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and was balanced beautifully with the Brussel sprout greens and some sort of corn cake deliciousness. One of the best meals I've had in years, and we all raved about it afterward.
Excellent black cod, memorable. Salmon disappointing. Too smoky and a little overcooked. Pink scallop delicious taster. Brussels sprouts delicious. Wo fearful service. Highly recommend
Best fish and chips I've ever had and the ice cream was an amazing dessert too
Two of us for dinner on a Sunday, nice booth in back, quiet. Menu options are good, food was excellent, wine and cocktail list were great. Only complaint was that entree took a long time to come out after we had eaten the 1st course.. waiter brought us some bread saying kitchen was backed up.
We were expecting more from every aspect.
We would not recommend.
Shrimp and grits very flavorful as was the pork jowls, though I expected meaty pork and got cracklings ( not that there is anything wrong with that!) Nice view of the water. Excellent service
Good seafood and pasta, good service despite a full house. Would definitely return on our next Seattle trip.
Great place to have a business / casual dinning in waterfront.
Everything was great except my water glass spontaneously exploded on our table--no idea why-wasn't touching it, thank goodness!
Third time we’ve been there and will go back. Great atmosphere, service and food. Get the seafood stew which is as good as you will get anywhere.
I was really looking forward to a good dining experience, but we were disappointed! the scallops were ridiculously small, less than the size of a die! I thought the food was overpriced. The crabcakes didn’t even taste like crab… I won’t go back
Great wait staff & lovely table. Food was good, but wine is a bit overpriced; still the Douglas dining experience rarely disappoints. We hadn’t been to Etta’s for years & it seems to have aged gracefully. We tried it for lunch in lieu of Pink Door & were pleased to see it thriving.
Absolutely loved our server, I wish I remembered her name. We went for it and everything was delicious.
Must get the clam chowder!
Nice place. Very small portions. The food tasted super good, but it was so rich it didn’t sit well after.
Felt that service was slow. Our server forgot the oysters and our entrees came warm, not hot.
Food was excellent but disappointed "creatures" menu was not available on Saturday. Went for the skate but had to settle for other seafood.
Great time and service!!
This Tom Douglas restaurant may be located in a touristy location but the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Everything from the clams appetizer to the spinach salad to the grilled salmon were tasty and prepared very well. There are nice tables along the windows to look at the view and several booths on both sides of the restaurant for cozy dining. Service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Street parking was easy to find (early February) and you can take a stroll before or after your meal through Pike Place.
We love Etta's and have never had anything, but a good experience. The staff and food are always excellent. Shout out to Chef Sam for always keeping it 100. If you want quintessential, elevated Seattle dining, this is your spot. We frequent it with friends, family, and out-of-towners.
We had a great birthday celebration! Food and service were excellent.
Amazing meal. Very friendly staff. I am looking forward to returning.
Came for dinner before a concert at the Showbox and had a wonderful meal. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and mouth-wateringly delicious. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Pricey for sure, but worth for a good night out.
