I think the food is overpriced. It's okay but not good value.
Food was find the second time. Potatoes weren't hot the first
We were given a glass of cava each for our anniversary. The food suggestions and professional staff made our dinner a special night.
Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere, highly recommend for seafood.
Great evening. The food was so fabulous and a good environment for conversation. The perfect spot to WoW out of town guests. The wine choices are all outstanding!
Wonderful food, wonderful ambiance.
Visiting in town for the weekend and my hotel’s concierge recommended the restaurant two weeks before arriving.
After returning to the hotel after dinner I needed to tip the concierge for recommending the restaurant in advance of my arrival which lived up to our expectations.
We came primarily for seafood and the salmon was dry. Service was awesome.
Great menu, very fresh. Great team of workers always helping out
Probably survives on tourists
The food and service were amazing! We were seated immediately and the service time was perfect and everyone was very kind and helpful.
As always, a pleasure!
Fabulous dinner one of our top favorites service was excellent ask for Andrea
Food was fantastic, but a little on the pricey side for overall value.
Great place for a business lunch for clients that aren't from Seattle. Food was fantastic.
View was nice, Pikes place area. Service was good and fish n chips with dill tartar sauce was yummy! German potatoe salad was not up to par with the Halibut but the Halibut was great!
Awesome as always. Seafood food was better than I remembered.
Superb service with even better food. Never disappoints.
Went to Etta’s to celebrate our anniversary. My husband wanted steak and I wanted seafood so we thought this would be a great place near Pike Place Market. Everything was underwhelming. The hostess was sweet but our waitress was not friendly and came to our table maybe 4 times total. Food was such a let down. I had the salmon and it was cold and rare. The sides were okay but I’ve had better salmon from a grocery store. My husbands strip steak was smaller than a filet and was not cooked to his liking. Overall, a very big letdown and would not recommend.
Update: I'm very satisfied by the follow-up from the restaurant after my review. On the basis of this follow-up I'm upping my star rating and look forward to being back!
Etta's had been one of my fav's in Seattle. I've been a regular customer for the last 15 years. This particular visit was an aberration. The waitress seemed to be hustling us from the get go. From ordering to trying to get us to leave after we had finished eating. I didn't see a wait line either so I could not understand why. I know the tip is included now but that did not seem to be a factor for bad service in my previous visits. I did not want to say anything in the comment card because the waitress could just be having a bad day and I would not want to impact her livelihood in any way. Given that I've had such good experiences with Etta's in the past I will give it a couple of more chances. However, if this is a new trend - hustling customers to leave, I will have to find another fav. seafood restaurant (of which there are many in Seattle)...
It took over 40 minutes to get our food. That is unacceptable. It was not the servers fault she was delightful
We enjoyed the ambiance and selection of menu items for brunch. Unfortunately, three of our entrees were delivered to our table VERY late after multiple inquiries about the status of the order. By the time the last three entrees were delivered, most of our group had already finished their meals. Very disappointing.
Amazing food. Get the octopus and crab cakes.
Afraid it didn't live up to the reputation. Fries had dried out before serving and the seafood was overcooked. Service was fine though. Hate to think they're just skating on the past.
The location was great at the window. However, the service was rather sluggish with our two initial drinks coming 5 minutes apart. There was a 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill. No reason for the wait staff to perform properly.
Amazing crab, superb server, even green beans were great!
The food and service was wonderful. We were accommodated at the last minute and everyone was so friendly and professional. Dinner was delicious. I will definitely go back.
Great food. Always consistent .
Back for a visit after moving away, had to stop for a meal.
The service was great and the food was the best meal we ate on our entire trip while in Seattle!! The Solomon was perfect and the Crab was sweet and meaty. Will always come back when in town.
Great waitperson - Danielle!
Perfect booth by the window.
My wife and I ate there on a Sunday afternoon. She ordered the squash blossoms appetizer and crab cake main course. The squash was so spicy she could not eat them. The crab cake was ok but nothing special. I ordered the chowder which was tasty. I also ordered the alaskan halibut with green beans and German potato salad. The halibut was super dry while the potato salad was cold and tasted like old baked potatoes they had sliced up. In addition, we were seated in a corner table next to the glass in the front. Lots of flies. I killed at least 6. When I told the waitress she said “that’s too bad”. We were not impressed. I had booked this months in advance as we were coming from the east coast for vacation. Will not eat there again and would not recommend.
Great brunch with family
We had the most wonderful dinner at Etta’s last night. From the affable and engaging bartender to the spectacular food and perfect pacing of the meal, we could not have asked for a better experience.
Our only concern is that our next two nights in Seattle will fail to live up to the first!
Post script- our next two dinners, while very good, did not compare with Etta’s.
I was in town on business and a local colleague recommended Etta’s. This place did not disappoint! In my party of 4, we all ordered different entrees and everyone loved what they got. The halibut was cooked perfectly and the signature salmon lived up to the hype. We shared the octopus appetizer and as someone who usually doesn’t like octopus, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. My only recommendation is to please include buttery Chardonnay in your wine list.
Expected more from a Tom Douglas place. My wife’s salad for $30 was just average with little avocado and mediocre crab
I had the flagship salmon and could hardly taste the salmon under the “special “ rub
The dessert was eh! We spent $135 for just an ok dinner
Delicious food and great service. Highly recommend.
Third year that we have gone to Etta’s. It’s always been great. The coconut pie is the best.
Prior to Rolling Stones concert - a great meet up with friends!
Waitress was amazingly attentive and knowledgeable. The best meal I had in Seattle. Waitresses recommendations were spot-on. I'll be back
I had friends in from Texas, who were leaving on a cruise on Monday. We were early, having walked around Pike Place Market, and asked if we could move our reservation up from 6:15 to about 5:15. No problem at all....this was a Sunday, during summer and a busy day. I greatly appreciated the willingness to seat us early. It couldn't have worked out better....we had great service and great food recommendations. I would encourage anyone to venture to Etta's - it is easy to get to and the view was spectacular.
