Food was pretty good, but the stand out aspect of my evening was the service. The server was personable, knowledgeable and very helpful without being overbearing.I couldn't ask for anything else.Great place for dinner if you're in the Hell's Kitchen/Theatre district neighborhoods.
particularly great theatre district option
It is a real pleasure to have such a good restaurant in Theater Row.
Dinner was delicious. Our waiter David was charasmatic and playful which we enjoyed. His suggestions were right on and we didn't feel pressured throughout the evening. Our only complaint was that the restaurant was very warm inside.
We would definitely go back.
Definitely for the theater and/or tourist crowd looking for a hip, modern-looking spot. Not for the purists or foodies.
Food was great and the staff very nice and had wonderful suggestions! Enjoyed this visit tremendously!
The food was adequate but I was disappointed because I had remembered my last meal there as much better. However, the setting is lovely and we were able to hear each other speak before going to the theater which is not true of so many other restaurants in the theater district
The Restaurant is nicely designed and decorated. The waitstaff attentive and accommodating. The food courses were inconsistent--between tasty and not very good. Beverages are towards the expensive side. If the food can match the decor, this restaurant would be do over worthy.
Service was wonderful and owner very willing to accommodate special food request.
A terrific restaurant in the theatre district - ask for the downstairs room.
Warm and welcoming. Very friendly and efficient service, with very good food and wine. Excellent location for after the Broadway show. Outstanding value for money.
One of the best restaurants in the theatre district, along with its sister establishment Vice Versa on W 51st. Inventive Italian cuisine, a very friendly staff, elegant decor, and reasonable prices. We love this place, and eat here at least once or twice a month.
Truly a neighborhood gem, notwithstanding it prime location right in the NYC theater district. Outstanding service and invariably great food.
Nice spot if you are going to a show. Thought everything was quite good.
Had a great dinner! The veal ravioli with raisins was an excellent menu item. Excellent service. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.
We selected EE for a later dinner after a long day of site seeing, seeking an above average eclectic, Italian dinner that didn't break the bank. We were not disappointed. The service was prompt and the staff very attententive without being intrusive. As for children, we had our three ages 8-14 with us and the staff was attentive to their needs though I wouldn't say this is a "kid-friendly" place if you are looking for basic foods. But if your family is well mannered and likes more adventurous foods, then this will fit the bill. Everything we ordered was excellent, the veal ravioli lived up to the recommendation as well as the risotto, fish, game hen and meatballs with fries! Desserts were excellent and worth the extra calories too!
So glad to have found this spot. Great place for a Friday night, to unwind after work with a drink at the bar and delicious food afterward. Service was attentive but unhurried, very friendly. I'll definitely be back.
Great Italian food. Went for Restaurant week but ended up ordering off the menu and it came out cheaper. Got the burrata, spinach and ricotta ravioli, lamb tagliatelle and the Chocolate Valhrona cake. The tagliatelle was a little too oily for me and I was expecting large meatballs but they were actually smaller than bite-size. Burrata and ravioli were very good and the cake was incredibly warm and perfect for 3 of us to share. We ate family style and were satisfied.
While the restaurant was a bit noisy it was worth it. Very good food and the staff from the front of the house to the waiter could not have been nicer. Great location for the theater which accounted for some of the noise pre-theater. Once that crowd left it was easier t hear but still a lively scene. We all loved it!
Great for pre-theatre; fast service but not rushed. Staff was fairly attentive, but no real efforts toward friendliness or extra-nice service (I found the staff at their companion restaurant, "ViceVersa", super accommodating and friendly). Food was very good, but portions are on the smaller side.
This is one of the very few restaurants in NYC that has excellent (and real) Italian food (not Italian American), great and understated service and moderate prices.
We liked Etcetera Etceter very much. It is a perfect place to go before theater. Good service and good food with a very nice upbeat ambiance. This was our first time but we will definitely go back.
Despite the loud and crowded dining room an excellent find. Interesting menu and and a great winelist
Excellent food and wonderful service!
This was my first time here, and I was very impressed with Everything. I will be back and tell all my friend to put it on their list.
An outstanding restaurant every bit as good as its East Side sister Visa Versa, with the same regional specialties that make dinner a culinary experience.
Nice experience with a great waiter who really tried to accommodate us re: suggestions, descriptions and timeframe so we could make the theater in time.
Restaurant overall very good. Food well prepared and portions generous. Service was outstanding. Noise was a problem. Requested upstairs, but it was not open. Would consider going again if in the theatre district, but would only go if upstairs available.
Went for the restaurant week prix fix. Still a very good selection on the menu and the food was absolutely delicious. The noise level was pretty high, but not enough to ruin the dining experience.
Great pretheater spot. The service was excellent and easily got us out in time for our show. Food was good too
Great per theatre lunch. I had the eggplant, arctic chat and banana dessert on the fixed price lunch menu and it was all very good.
For our last night in NYC before returning from vacation we wanted an excellent Italian restaurant for dinner and we found it at Etc Etc. It is located a few doors down from Intercontinental Hotel near Times Square. We had the house specialty which is ravioli filled w/ veal, raisins and a little amaretto, truly an outstanding dish. For dessert we had read in Open Table not to miss the burnt orange cream brulee. We are glad we followed that admonition. It was a delicious twist on a classic desert. Lastly, we tried to order Limoncella but were told they had sold the last of what they had the night before. Instead, they brought us complimentary glasses of very tasty moscato. Our server was very knowledgeable & attentive w/out being intrusive.
Creative and tasty food, excellent service. Handy to the theater district with an attractive pre-theater menu.
Great meal and mixed drinks . Not a typical theater district place. Very nice
Great spot for pre or post theater...refreshing drinks, light meals nicely prepared and creatively served; we had a wonderful arugula salad with creamy and crisp counterpoints of avocado and hearts of palm. Risotta was rich and moist, with fresh peas and fava...they always seem to fit us in, and get us out before the theater...waitstaff are organized and smart.
This restaurant was outstanding in every way. My dining companions live in Manhattan and proclaimed it the best restaurant they've tried in the Theater District. With a 5:00 reservation, we were seated immediately and asked if we were attending a show without us having to mention it. The food is very authentic Northern Italian--fresh, well-prepared, well-presented, and well-priced. I would definitely eat there again.
Etcetera Etcetera is one of my favorite go-to restaurants in New York City. Consistent, delicious, warm and welcoming, AMAZING drinks, and overall satisfying.
We had a great meal with great service at a reasonable price. We would come back.
The place is beautiful and all 6 of us has great appetizers, dinners and desserts. don't miss the blood orange creme brulee.
We picked Etcetera Etcetera as a prelude for a special evening at the theater. The food was very good, the wait staff was excellent, and the ambience was lovely -- a relatively quiet oasis in the midst of the Times Square and theater hubbub. I would definitely recommend it to friends.
