We happened upon this place and it was outstanding. The menu was varied and on the pastas you could get a half portion. Very attentive waitstaff and overall excellent food.
Great location for pre or post theater. Nice choices of homemade pastas and other Italian cuisine. Attentive service.
This was our second time here in the past few months. Although in theater district/hell's kitchen are the food and staff are far better than you would expect. The meatball with french fries (yes...) are very good, as are the gnocchi- very tender. One staff person moved us to another table without us asking since a large group came in and sat behind us. We will definitely be back- make sure to come after the pre-theater crowd (unless of course you have a play to get to).
It was the perfect place after a hectic frame. We loved it
Decent place with good, lively ambience. Service was very mediocre. We ordered the buratta which was tasty. Their fresh bread was delicious and they provided generous serving of it. For the mains, I had the chicken which was ok, my husband had the lasagna. If you choose to have dessert, highly recommend the 'boudino'. It was the highlight of the dinner
As I haven’t been there in a while, it was nice to come back to a lovely dining establishment. Food doesn’t disappoint. Glad to be back.
Very good food and excellent price points on wine.
One of the best theater district restaurants by far. Central location for most theaters, handsome decor, stellar menu with beautiful plating, a bartender who really churns out a perfect martini and thoughtful, attentive service. What could be better rhan that?
Joey was amazing! Loved this place
Best focaccia in the theater district! The prix-fixe offers good value. Good place for couples or foursomes--the noise level makes it easy to converse.
Everything was FANTASTIC.... as usual.
Good and tasty gluten free options.
Lovely restaurant very close to the St. James theater. The staff were excellent. The service super. They knew we were taking our middle school aged kids out for a fancy meal and then Frozen so they were right on time with our meals. The only downside was price- but I was aware of that when I made the reservation.
This is one of the best restaurants in New York. Consistent great service, food and drink. Every time I am in the city I make it a point to go there.
We had a great experience at this restaurant food was delicious and wait staff were amazing
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING.. wow is all I can say. Thank you for a great Feast of Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve..one of the best meals I have had in years
We went here for christmas eve and it was so cozy! They had decorated with small Christmas trees on every table and it looked really nice. The fish was absolutely great and delicious. I would love to go back soon
Excellent service and food. The hosts and the waiter were both very polite, and the waiter’s timing throughout the meal was perfect. I will say the portions were a little bit small for the price, however the ingredients and how they were prepared were well worth it. I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and we had a lovely night.
The gluten free spinach and ricotta ravioli is a delight.
All in our party had different entrees, and all were enjoyed. I had the best red snapper special!
Service was very caring, making sure everything was perfect.
Highly recommend this place, and will go back. Also, Gluten free pastas which one in our party ordered was
I chose this restaurant because of its proximity to the Richard Rogers theater (a 6-minute walk) and its reviews. It did not disappoint. It is small but very tastefully appointed. We had a lovely, long, relaxed pre-matinee lunch. The Prix Fixe lunch menu was perfect for us and reasonable. The drink prices were quite high, but I suspect it is on par for Manhattan. We were visiting just for the day so we had no point of comparison. Wonderful pre or post-theater experience.
Joe was our waiter and he was excellent. We had a wonderful meal. The food was great
Loved it and would absolutely go again when in NYC.
A great pre-theater dining experience-Italian style. Everything we ordered was delicious, service was excellent although it was busy place with every table occupied. Allow more time to get to the theatre on time than we did! One and one half hours plus walking distance to theater is minimum.
Went to this for a pre-theater meal. The food was delicious and relatively reasonable for this quality food. I went with my "foodie" 13 year old pescaterian grandson. He had the 3 course tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed it and ate everything. I had a delicious chestnut soup and eggplant parm appetizer and couldn't finish it. Desserts were also delicious. Serivce was not bad but not that attentive.
Excellent restaurant! The service and meal were way above others in NYC.
So wonderful I'd go back there at a moment's notice..food was exceptional..a most go while in the city
Hidden gem in Hell’s Kitchen
Didn’t want to go far . Wanted to stay close. Searched open table and found this. Food was great. Cute and quaint . Definitely our new place !
The profiteroles were outstanding and the hot fudge over the top made them extra delicious.
Don't sit near the door in the winter as you get a cold drafter every time it opens.
The gluten free ravioli was so good. It was really a treat. The three of us all enjoyed our food and the experience.
Superb in every way. I have been going for many years and have always had a excellent good experience. I've recommended to many friends and they too have become regulars.
Too loud for an intimate dinner. The waiters kept bumping into the table and did not look professional enough considering the type of restaurant. The saffron rice was nothing special. It's probably worth going back to try other dishes but this first experience was not very positive overall.
Food was very good, but one entree not so great (pumpkin gnocchi had no taste). Other than that, everything was delicious. The Burrata appetizer was excellent. Ravioli, risotto and orechetti were great. We enjoyed our meal and I will go back.
Best Ever. Owner is affable and provides the delicacies of the house on request. Food is terrific particularly the pasta dishes. Great gluten free lineup. Delicious.
Hidden gem. Always good
When my wife and I go to the city, we always like to try something new and different. Although on the this occasion we were meeting family, and we didn’t want them to be disappointed. We had been to EtcEtc a few months earlier and enjoyed everything about the place.
The food was delectable, the service was excellent, and the noise level was just right to hold a nice conversation. The restaurant is slightly off the beaten path, and it has a charming ambience.
I had the gnocchi and my wife had the salmon. Our family members had the meatballs and pasta dish. We were all ready to lick our plates, if it was socially acceptable, lol.
I would high recommend to anyone, and will surely go back again. We made our reservations well in advance, since we didn’t want to miss out on dining there.
I would have given the service 6 or 7 stars if possible because it was fantastic. Good was great as well.
We went before a show- the food was excellent and the service prompt and friendly.
Food is excellent. I love the half portions because I cant eat a big meal and if you are going to theater after dinner you dont have to carry left overs
