Etcetera Etcetera Ratings and Reviews
Service was good though it seemed as though there were more than server who helped out and I don't believe we ever were introduced to our server by name. Our server did, though, have a good knowledge of the menu and the ingredients in each dish which was appreciative as some diners have allergies and/or specific meal requests.
It did take quite a while for us to receive the bill and we had to ask for it after waiting about 20 minutes past the time that we finished our desserts.
Nice atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Had a reservation for after matinee show and showed up early and they still graciously seated us. Hostess was one of the friendliest, attentive hostess we've ever met. Waiter was friendly and earnest, making the occasion with friends a lovely one.
They make fantastic martinis and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. We shared 2 1/2 orders which was more than enough for 2 people. Their risotto is killer good and we pared that with a gnocchi that was cooked with maple and raisins - sounds strange but nit was delightful.
This was my second time coming to Etcetera Etcetera in a week, both times for birthday celebrations. The service is great! I also had the same waiter twice, David, and he is fabulous! Very funny and attentive. Food was excellent. Be aware that is gets very busy early evening as it is a popular pre-theatre restaurant. I enjoyed it both time but prefered going later in the evening as it was a bit more subdued.
We eat at Et Cetera often for pre-theater. The serving staff is professional in noting your timing and serving accordingly without really rushing you. The food is terrific. Sometimes we get the price-fix dinner and sometimes we order a la carte. Both ways are excellent. I love that pasta can be ordered as full plate or half plate. And if you wish to have something from the price-fix menu as an a la carte dish, you may. I ordered the soup this way. I preferred it to the soup on the a la carte menu. It was delicious. Dessert (or coffee) comes with cookies which are a nice treat. But my favorite is the affogato.
Because of the chef's specials and seasonal menu changes, you never really can get bored eating here.
A new restaurant for me! Special occasion reuniting with family members from out of town. Could not have been better - authentic Italian food was delicious and service fantastic. I encourage those who eat here to order any of the deserts. Only critique, it was quite loud and bustling, which dissipated after 930pm. The owner was very gracious and came to visit our table. We’ll be back soon!
We always go here for pre & post theatre and it's consistently 5 Star! This time it was our destination for an 8PM reservation. It couldn't have been better...as usual: great food, great service, great evening! And the staff could not have been more accommodating. We love Etcetera Etcetera.
Amazing choice for after theater dining. Beautiful modern decor with amazing friendly service from start to finish. Our dinner choices included roasted dates wrapped in proscuitto with melon, beef carpaccio, fresh hand made squid ink pasta with lobster and fabulous pan seared scallops with slaw. What a treat served with lovely wine choices. Can't wait to go again.
Friends and I were in NYC for the theater and wanted a restaurant close to the location for brunch. After reading the Trip Advisor rating and customer comments I chose Etcetera Etcetera. We were very pleased with the selection. We had a excellent dining experience - the food was very good, the service excellent and interior decor was very appealing. We definitely plan to return when we're in the City again.
My recent experience was particularly good in that, being delayed by traffic, I arrived late and, having notified Etc. by phone, every effort was made to accommodate: the reservation was held and service was particularly prompt so that we might make our curtain. Nonetheless, nothing seemed rushed. The food was good trattoria fare, served hot. Focaccia and tapenade was a fine bread choice
The beer was cold. Dessert was delicious. The only let down was the coffee which was without character.
Etcetera Etcetera is always reliable, but less so when reserving through Open Table. They couldn't find my reservation, but is was ultimately not an issue. Food, as always, is excellent! So is the service. Attentive and responsive without pestering or forgetting....Just right. Every meal I've had at EE--for brunch, lunch and dinner--has been perfectly prepared and presented. It's clear that they use quality ingredients. Half portions are really small, though (and pricey). My party stopped elsewhere later for a quick bite.
