quality issue-- appetizer quality could be better ordered some veal concoction which was essentially inedible
and cauliflower appetizer while excellent in past was a bit soggy this time out

Our reservation was early and the restaurant was quite empty. A very pleasurable experience, super quiet, and very attentive waitstaff.
Ironically, for a place that calls itself steakhouse the steak was the item I wouldn't recommend.
The other food on the menu was exceptional. We ordered a variety of appetizers. They were original, fresh, and most importantly delicious.
We had the gnocchi, pulled veal, tongue and rolled rib eye. As previously mentioned the rib eye was no good but the other dishes more than made up for it.
The must-try entree is definitely the cocoa short ribs. YUMMY!
This is absolutely a place I would visit again!
We had a business meeting with no liquor or wine and the staff’s attentive water service made it just perfect on beverage. Everyone of our party of nine had the range of the menu on entree’s. We had no appetizers, two of us had salads that were big enough to share with everyone. The French fries were exceptional.
The food and service was excellent ,the ambiance was releaxed and comfortable.

The service was excellent. The food was outstanding. It was a really nice evening. The chef took his time and came out and spoke with us just to make sure everything we ordered was done to the way we liked. We appreciated the personal service. Finally we heard music drifting in from an adjoining room and we actually thought it was someone playing the piano it was that good.
This is a terrific restaurant. The food and service are superb, and while it's expensive, it's worth it. We recommend it highly.
Very enjoyable, especially for a kosher restaurant, no kids running around extremely attentive service.
It was extremely noisy. My sister-in-law ordered a medium-well shirt steak and was served a medium-rare hanger steak. My steak had more veins I couldn't cut through with a steak knife.
I have had better meals there but not this time. we would have sent her steak back but to wait another hour would have been too much.
The seven-course tasting menu is not to be missed. We will be going back for sure!
Very good food and very good service. Will return and would recommend. Chef comes out regularly to meet diners which is a very nice touch. Is a bit pricey

My Mechutan ( In-law) and I try to get together on a regular basis, to share dinner. Often our meals out are less elaborate, but our children highly recommended ETC., and so we decided to try it.
It was simple to make the online reservation, and free local parking was easily available. On arrival , we were immediately greeted by a staff member, and given a lovely table with a window view. We were provided with your Tablet computerized menus, but the wait staff were right there for excellent advice to assist our ordering.
We were able to order entrees and main courses quickly, and almost immediately brought a small sample of a new recipe the chef was trying out. Our orders were brought out promptly and our steaks were cooked perfectly to our preference. We were then able to share a dessert, and even continue using the table for conversation, without interference.
Our meal was delicious, and we were not rushed by the staff, who were unfailingly polite, friendly, but still unobtrusive. I always hope when I eat out, to find excellent food, that I would not be able to duplicate myself in my own kitchen. The meal at ETC certainly met those criteria, and i look forward to my next meal there.

Seth Warshaw is a culinary genius. This was one of the finest dining experiences we have ever had. From the complimentary taste of a pre-appetizer, to the flavorful appetizers (gnocchi with beef cheek and buffalo cauliflower that was scrumptious), to perfectly prepared steaks with perfectly complementary sides. My only regret is that we were too stuffed for dessert. As an aside, the beer bread is incredible.

This was a special occasion. My future son in law was not having a bachelor party and various people on different nights were taking him to dinner and I wanted to be one of them. I had never eaten at this restaurant but all I knew was that it was written up favorably in the Jewish Standard and that it was known for its steak. I brought a bottle of my favorite kosher wine and they put it in a bucket of ice and poured it for me and my guest. That part was good. The ambience was good and leant itself to what I was there for which was quiet conversation and a good meal. The meal was a terrible let down. I ordered the 12 oz. ribeye and it was fatty, way too soft and greasy, and glopped over the string beans, which were fine, and a whole mess of potatoes that were fried and had some sort of sauce poured all over them. All I could think of was maybe because it was right after being closed for Shavuot they weren't at the top of their
game. Who knows. All I know is that my wife and I are pretty well traveled and have eaten steak in many of the top restaurants and this didn't even rate a 2 out of 10. Who puts a wet $51. ribeye steak on top of string beans and a mess of gooey potatoes and says, "here, enjoy". Not even close. Steak is supposed to be celebrated, all on its own, and it shouldn't be wet and greasy and fatty. It should be a situation where every bite is a delight, every slice better than the next. Finally, the waiter said he normally orders it medium, even though he said the chef recommended it medium rare, and the steak, at medium, was overcooked and showed no signs of pink, which the waiter said it would, whatsoever. In fairness, my future son in law had the skirt steak and his looked better than my ribeye platter and he ate every drop and said it was good. We both agreed the salad we split was good. The waiter asked if we wanted bread and out came one square of what appeared to be stale cornbread.

Etc is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. I love the fact that the menu changes monthly but still includes several staple items. Seth is an artist who produces interesting and exceptional food!! You can't go wrong with Etc.
There has been a definite improvement in the taste and quality of the steaks.
The food and ambiance was excellent. The waiters were all very kind and helpful. The had suggestions for every course and we're very honest about the food. The BYOB policy without a corking fee is unbelievable, makes the dinner alot cheaper, while the appetizers are slightly overpriced. $18 for cauliflower? Don't get me wrong it was delicious, but cauliflower is cauliflower... Overall, a delicious, enjoyable evening.
My wife and I want to Etc for dinner after not having been there in quite some time. From start to finish our meal was superb. I had a top of the rib steak and my wife the short ribs. Both were excellent. We had the beef bacon for an appetizer which was outstanding. The beer bread is delicious as was a raspberry cake for desert. Our waitress Noel was one of the best wait staff we have ever had. The ambience is also very nice. Etc is a winner in every way.
They don’t serve wine. That was a surprise.
Everything was great other than the fact that the restaurant was cold. I realize that it was cold outside but when you are trying to enjoy very good food, you really should not have to do so wearing your winter coat. We weren’t the only ones who were sitting with winter gear! It’s a shame that what could have been an amazing evening had to be spoiled by the inside temperature!
