Et Voila! serves lunch, dinner and brunch.
Lovely lunch outside. The food is always wonderful, the staff so friendly and helpful. The very best Belgian/French food for the price in DC.
Delicious Food and lovely ambiance, with excellent service!
Would have been perfect if we were not seated directly in the bright sun so that one of us had to shift sides of the table - there were other empty tables and no one thought to offer us a change
Hadn't been to Et Voila in a long time. The expansion was really well done and the noise level has dropped and made for much easier conversation. As for the food: the Norwegian sole was magnificent; expensive, but a rare treat and big enough to share. The branzino -- if you've gotten tired of seeing branzino everywhere, this one was is like a new discovery - the best I've ever had. Our third had moles, perfect as usual.
Delicious fish dishes and don’t miss the endive salad. I am not a big salad eater and I LOVE this salad.
Wow! Our meal at Et Voila was exceptional in every way. The waiter was attentive without being overbearing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Following are the dishes that the 4 of us ate. We loved every one of them! Evening specials--Pea Soup, Fried softshell crabs. Salads--Goat cheese salad, beet salad. Main courses--Trout, Branzino, Duck leg confit. Dessert--we split the profiteroles. Reasonably priced wine list. Possibly the best meal we have eaten at a restaurant in quite awhile!
I would consider this being one of the best restaurants in Washington DC.
Delicious dinner and great service!
Need to baffle noise. Hard to talk to table partners.
It was soooooo noisy. We were next to a large table of people and really were unable to carry on a conversation among the three of us. We have never had the noise issue be so much of a problem before.
The food, as usual was wonderful, as was the service.
We ate outside. Seemed noisy inside.
What a fabulous place - from the ambiance, the wonderful service, and the absolutely amazing food. Et Voila is definitely a place you do not want to miss!
We had reservations for Mothers Day and were seated 25 minutes late, but once We were seated, the service was very fast and very very good. Our waiter was funny and informative. The wine was great, the beer choices were excellent, and the cocktails were interesting. The waiter brought a cut of faguette and butter to the table, nothing special. But you don't want to fill up on bread since the food is so incredibly rich. We had the endive salad that was surprisingly not bitter but a little too sweet for us. However the entrees were fantastic. The salmon came in very rich sauce with some lentils, the beef stew was very good but once again incredibly rich. The mussels were the best quality mussels I've ever had in the Washington area. They have 3 different sauces for the mussels and I chose Moules
Anna, intrigued by the inclusion of sweet potatoes. The sauce was nothing special And I would not get it again, but it was very nice to have some sweet potatoes with the meal. The deconstructed strawberry cheesecake with green tea for dessert was out of this world. All in all we had a fabulous meal, a great time, and I would definitely go back to this restaurant. The tables are very close together and it's very small and crowded so it is difficult to hear your dinner companions.
they had a full house for mother's day and nothing was missed. everything tasted wonderful. entire meal executed perfectly. I like the main dining room much more fo 2-4 peopled, but we had 6 in the new room worked well bc we had a round table and the elderly could hear everything.
Nice ambience and the service was great. Very limited Brunch menu
Et voila does not disappoint. Great food and excellent service
It was like a party. It was a blast. The waiters are fun and helpful. The service is perfect and on the speedy side. The menu is creative and divine. We had to wait for our table but didn't mind. They brought us Champagne on the house
We had a lovely meet at Et Viola. I enjoyed the fish.
Endive salad was inundated with cheeses to the point of nearly not being a salad. Moules de l'année served undercooked with about 1/4 of moules unopened or slightly opened and still raw. After reading notable newspaper reviews, this was a definite disappointment.
Always Excellent. Never disappointed. The staff from the time you arrive until you leave are attentive
I had not been for a while and was once more very impressed by their carbonnade, a meat stew cooked in beer, and by their endive salad. I eat stews at many restaurants in Washington and think that Et Voila has the best. The service is always competent and friendly.
Benjamin, our waiter was fantastic. I would highly recommend him as your waiter.
The restaurant was busy and very noisy. The waiter gave great suggestions, but could have been more customer friendly thus my 4 stars for service. My mussels were excellent as always and we all enjoyed our meals,
Let's start off with service. Waiter was engaging, high energy and assisted us with our food order and wine pairings. Unfortunately did not catch his name. Food was outstanding. Hanger steak cooked perfectly to order (medium rare) and melted in your mouth. Clams were outstanding--plump and flavorful.
Felt well taken care of. Never felt rushed. Our party of 4 was able to linger over dessert and conversation.
Only drawback, for me, was noise level. Would have preferred it a bit less intense. But wiill definitely recommend and return for an encore.
The best Belgium restaurant in DC. The food is so amazing and authentic
Great beer, delicious bread, tasty appetizers. My wife loved her branzino, which came with mushrooms and pasta in a tasty sauce. My entree-- mussels de l'annee-- was a disappointment. There was little broth and the sweet potatoes didn't blend with the mussels as I would have liked. I'd go again and just order something else.
This restaurant is a true gem. It is small, unobtrusive, but a real find, well worth the trip up MacArthur Blvd. The menu is interesting, with an extensive selection of beers. We are partisan to French wines, which are well represented at very reasonable prices. We went for the specials of the evening: cod and steak, both were done exactly right and elegantly presented. The bottle of Brouilly was a perfect accompaniment. The desert was an interesting compilation of cake, fruit and creme brulee. We missed our reservation by 20 minutes, but were seated at the bar, which suited us fine. The service was friendly and efficient. The noise level was moderate. Strongly recommended!
Et Voila is always a treat. I try different foods each time; the menu is great! The service is top notch, whether for lunch or dinner. This time I also bought some marzapan strawberries from the EtVoila market as a special present, and was told they were amazing!
I don't make it to this neighborhood gem often enough. Our dinner was simply scrumptious. The flemish beef stew with dark beer melted in my mouth. It was the hit between the two beef dishes we ordered (although the hanger steak was good too). And the carrot risotto was the perfect dish for the vegetarian in our party. Service was impeccable as well. Tres bien, Et Voila!
Enjoyed our ladies lunch today. Service was attentive but not overbearing which allowed us to sit and chat without feeling we had to eat and run. Nice afternoon. Thanks!
It was wonderful. We sat outside and the weather, food and service was perfect.
Hidden gem in DC,my top 10 restaurant in my life time. Was celebrating my 70th birthday.
Perfect as always
Great meal. Really good food - all variety of mussels, foie gras, salads, a unique and delicious carrot risotto, fantastic french fries and wonderful bread ! Excellent and well priced wine list, very large portions, excellent service. Several of our party have hearing issues and it was the perfect pleasant and quiet environment. On street parking was easy to find. Will return and recommend. Thanks!
The service was terrific and the meal was absolutely sensational. Everyone had a wonderful dining experience. I do think the back room can still be a bit loud depending on the parties dining there.
Food and service were both lovely. And this was the evening of Easter so I'm sure the restaurant had been busy all day and the servers exhausted. We wish Et Voila was in our neighborhood but it's always worth it to drive over and dine there!!!
Cuisine and service continues to be excellent. The menu and wine is selectively ample to cover all tastes.
Lovely brunch - busy as it was Easter - but we will be back for sure. Delicious food and nice atmosphere.
As always, love the food and friendly attentive service. Leg of Lamb was on the menu for Easter. It was absolutely delicious.... so tender, generous portion.
Et viola remains one of our very favorite places to eat. Always delicious, always friendly. It's just a joy to spend an evening under Et Viola's capable care.
