The food was excellent and my friends and I loved the ambience. The first server we had was not friendly and somewhat snippy as well as inattentive. However, halfway through the meal, we got a new waiter who was polite and responsive.

The outdoor tents make dining perfect. We love Et Viola

Et Viola has delicious, elegant food and is doing a great job with COVID - warm heaters, tables outside in open tents, sanitizing - highly recommended.

Enjoyed an outstanding brunch at Et Voila for a friend's birthday. We were seated outside per our request on a 45 degree afternoon and found that with the heater we were certainly warm enough to shed our jackets. The food was outstanding and arrived piping hot. Mussels are always my favorite item to order and the soup of the day, root vegetables, was outstanding. Service was very efficient and gracious. Covid precautions were excellent. Don't let the cold weather dissuade you from dining outside at Et Voila.

We enjoyed eating outdoors for this visit. Outdoor heaters kept us warm on a very chilly evening. We love the food. The staff is very gracious. Et Voilà is one of our favorite restaurants. A gem in the Palisades!

Remains my favorite DC dining venue. Service above- we had reservations for 5:45 which got problematic once Mayor ordered a curfew due to riot at Capitol. Et Voila called at 4:00 and offered to reschedule or move us up. We rushed down and had a delicious meal.

Et Voila has done a fantastic job creating safe and comfortable outside dining during COVID-19 restrictions. The food continues to be excellent and the staff is always gracious.

Et Voila never disappoints. Have been going for years. We’ve done more take away this year and have only eaten at the restaurant (outside) a few times this year, but we’ll be back inside as soon as we’re able. Love the food. Love the people that work there. They always make it special.

Et Viola is always excellent -the quality never waivers. And they have done an outstanding job adapting to outdoor dining in cold weather. Each table has its own heater and there are plexiglass barriers between each table as well.

Great open tents and heaters

We dined at Et Voila after the new rules regarding indoor dining were passed, so the reservation had to be switched to outdoor dining. The restaurant contacted us before hand and asked if we would be ok with outdoor dining and we agreed after we were told it would be a heated patio. On arriving at the restaurant they assigned us an outdoor table with a signal propane heater to keep us warm. The heater was running low on gas and went out about 15 minutes later. At this point (in 27 F weather) we were told all the heaters were running low and they didn’t have any spare ones and they relit it. This time it only lasted around 5 minutes. Lucky for us, another table left and they were able to bring us that heater after we asked for it. The food was delicious- we had the French onion soup, escargot, sole and Branzino and they were all extremely well made and tastefully plated. The profiteroles were lovely, too. We will definitely consider dining here again either indoors/ in summer, however winter outdoor dining must be undertaken at one’s own risk. Other diners also seemed to be cold and the ones seated right next to us, ended up leaving after they were unable to get a second heater despite repeated requests.

Amazing traditional food, excellent service. The heat lamps for outdoor dining weren't the warmest so we were cold during dinner, but overall an awesome experience!

We had the most wonderful outdoor Christmas dinner here. All of the staff who work at the restaurant restored my faith in humanity. These are the hardest working + most considerate people I have ever seen + the food was marvelous! I had delicious mussels with a lobster bisque sauce + My husband had an amazing North Carolina trout fish with spinach.

My husband + I are usually sitting on an exotic beach on Christmas day with family. Due to the pandemic we were stuck in D.C. Like everyone else. We were determined to eat outside even though it was only 31 degrees. The restaurant had really nice heat lamps. After we eat down, some others braved the cold as well. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. There also seemed to be a very steady take out business as we saw many cars pull up + the staff ran out to deliver their food.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Beautiful experience. These workers hustle so hard-- we need people like them running our country.

They are doing a great job with outdoor dining. Food is terrific as always, this time we had the sole which was terrific! Please join them to help them out during these trying times for restaurants!

Xmas dinner was super. Staff ready to please and all had a super jolly time!

Last family dinner before DC’s latest shutdown. Well-spaced tables plus partitions; they went the extra mile to keep diners safe. As always, food was delicious: onion soup, Flemish stew, bolognese and some very nice wines. We shared a dessert too!

Went to dinner outside recently with a friend who wasn't familiar with Et Voila. He came away very impressed with their attention to providing a safe (dividers between tables, appropriate spacing, sterilized silverware in plastic) and comfortable (lots of outside heaters) outdoor eating environment with delicious food and great service at very reasonable prices!

We are thrilled they are able to serve outside and appreciated the attentiveness of the staff throughout our time there. Am concerned about the return of winter and do hope they find a way to continue to be able to service outside.
We have also used their takeout service and they have certainly improved since the beginning of the pandemic,..much more organized and timely.
