We set outside on a cold day and they made us very comfortable with great food. Always my favorite restaurant.
Our favorite place to go for a great meal at a reasonable price.
good food and service. a little tight with covid around but they do check that you have had the shots.
Seems like et voila is more of a neighborhood space. Not much of a selection so I’d consider it more Belgian than French. Not much of a choice with dessert but the profiteroles were nice. Not enough of a reason to drive all the way there. Good service and wine list hence the three stars
The Celery Root Soup special was excellent!
Good food, great service. Reasonable price.
Could use some nice French music in the background to warm up the atmosphere.
It is such a warm and inviting place - with great staff, food, wine choices (by the glass and bottle), and it just never disappoints.
Very nice beer and wine offerings.
I ordered the warm goat cheese salad.( $11.50 )-Small 2 ounce round of warm goat cheese with some mixed spring greens like you buy at Costco or Safeway. Ehh. Okay-My bad choice.
I ordered Beef Tartar ($28.95). The description on the menu reads "Angus beef mixer with Shallots, Chives, Capers, Tabasco, Worchester eaten Steak Tartar and never ever seen or heard of tartar sauce
(Abundant Mayo) being involved.
I also ordered Moules Mariniere. Plump, fresh juicy Mussels cooked well -served with really strong, bitter nasty, stinky Onions. Wine, Leeks and Garlic ($23.50)
Dessert was Home made Dark Chocolate & Praline Ice Cream-Chocolate Carmel Sauce-Milk Chocolate Whipped Cream-Crunchy Hazelnuts.
It was generous and fabulous. Perfect Double Espresso.
I guess I didn't order the right stuff on the right day.
It was a terrific dining experience. The mussels were exceptional! Plus, I had asked for a “birthday” cake which was beautifully presented. Thanks to the chef and staff!
This is a fine restaurant. The ambiance, service and food combined to product a fine dining experience
They should’ve mentioned that they don’t participate in DC restaurant week this year before us reserving and showing up. Good food, but not a great environment.
Consistently delicious with excellent service.
The food was excellent. I started with the beet salad, which was a very generous portion and delicious. The beef in the bifsteak with French fries was stronger than I expected, though. My friend's trout was delicious and ample. We enjoyed the first cake on the dessert menu. The restaurant is an excellent value. Can't wait to go back!
Great, dining room very cozy, almost too cramped
very nice place.
This restaurant is simply the best!
We had a very nice dinner. My husband and son enjoyed sole meunière and I had the branzino. Branzino is always on the menu, but the restaurant prepares it differently throughout the year. Last night the branzino had a red wine sauce. I enjoyed the mushroom soup - special on the menu. Et Voilà is our favorite neighborhood restaurant.
Superb service & dinner! Don’t miss the endive salad or snails. Truly appreciated our server. Lovely patio with heaters which made outdoor dining in winter very cozy.
Thanks a lot for your review, and we are happy if we made your expectation about the restaurant and hope to see again. Management team
As always the food is outstanding Belgian fare for Sunday brunch- we had the egg sandwich, the Et Voila burger and salmon benedict...all superb. Service continues to be top notch, lots of attention through meal, with beverage refills (coffee/water) taken care of before we knew we were low. Always a gem of a place to treat ourselves!
Hi Cara, Thank you for the review, we are happy to hear you had a good experience in our Sunday brunch and hope to see you again. Management Team
Great first experience. Food was delicious. Restaurant wasn’t busy and service was excellent
One of the loveliest restaurants in Washington, in one of the loveliest neighborhoods, Palisades. Excellent, homey French-Belgian cooking.
Food as always was great. It was a nice way to end 2021. Staff always welcoming as well. Great place for French style food- great wine and beer list.
Service was kind of slow even though there were very few people there at 2:00PM. Onion soup, very large mussels, and frites. My husband had the stew which he liked
This restaurant never disappoints. Great collection of Belgian beers, well curated wine selection. And its carbonnade, beef tartare and mussels are among the best this side of Brussels.
Almost too much service, someone contrantly stopping by the table
Wonderful food and service
Have dined there many times and elected to try the Et Voila burgers for a mid-week dinner...the best burger I ever tasted, served with French fries and salad. She had yellow tuna tartare as appetizer and I the mushroom soup. Cocktail before and wine during. Truly another sensational dining experience at Et Voila.
IF you want to have really good dining that will take you back to Europe, sitting in a small cafe that you love - then you will love this. We brought my niece who is with Michelin and it was clear that she enjoyed the food and check to see if Et Voila was in the DC guide/Bib Gourmet...well it wasn't and it should be - that's for sure.
I would be lovely to have something else to look at other than a brown wall...maybe a lower mirror. But all in all it is a great place to have a special meal.
Always a treat! The hanger steak was delicious, and the service superb!
Et Voilà is the most creative restaurant in the Palisades with the most delicious food. And the service is impeccable.
My husband ordered Branzino, portions are much smaller and the price is still the same. I have always loved Et Voila and I think it's a great restaurant, one of my favorites but last night was not happy about the portions.
Excellent service, wonderful food and a lovely table outdoors with a heat lamp for warmth.
Had an excellent time. Service and food were outstanding. We had to wait an extra few minutes beyond our reservation time since our table was not ready.
Great as usual. Had an outdoor reservation, but were accommodated inside at a hightop in the back at our (Covid concern) request due to the rain
Dinner for Christmas Day was a great day to be out.
Very settled in feeling restaurant been there for a long period food is very above average, very friendly atmosphere, neighborly feel.
Perfect Christmas Day lunch! I got the Flemish Beef Stew, with Brussel Sprouts, and the server recommended an excellent IPA to go with it - absolutely delicious! My friend got the steak frites which were done to perfection and a glass of wine. The fries were amazing! Steamy, warm French Bread and a nice pat of butter were set on our table, and our water glasses were never empty. I look forward to going back again soon!
