Always a great evening at Et Voila. The place for a fun evening out with great food.
Et Voila! has been my go-to for reliably nice dinners, but was really off the mark tonight. The French onion soup was bland and underseasoned, the entree selection was disappointingly limited (no duck - no turkey as in the online menu); a cassoulet would have been nice); my moule diables base seemed thrown together, with blobs of garlic paste and sliced shallots sitting unmixed, and the profiterole pate a choux was burned. Service was good, but unsatisfying dinner overall.
Great overall! This restaurant is a little bit more expensive than the ones I usually go to. But service was awesome and food was really good. Love the menu and love the ambience.
It was a lovely dinner for two. Everything went very well. We will be back!
Great outdoor dining we will come again and again
Food and service is consistently excellent. So glad we live nearby as Et Voila never disappoints. The Norwegian sole was spectacular on this occasion.
Summation: Starters; Escargot, Cheese Tray, Entrees; Mussels, Trout, Desert; Creme Brûlée. All excellent and priced fairly. Drinks; Bourbon , Beer. I felt a bit on the pricey side.
Casual atmosphere and noisier than I would prefer, but not noise caused by background music with rockband volume, but rather from lots of people enjoying themselves.
Would I go back again? Yes, in a heartbeat the next time I’m in the area!
Lovely, delicious menu. Food is outstanding. The service was superb!
The curried mussels are outstanding and the fries are perfect. The service is efficient and friendly. But, like many D.C. restaurants, the tables are too close for an intimate conversation. Two tables down, two boisterous couples marred the dining experience for others nearby. Before that, we learned way too much of what the next diner thought of her coworkers. This cannot be helped by the restaurant, of course, but will affect our decision to return. Too bad because the food is very good.
First time here for lunch, but have dined here in the evening many times. Particularly recommend the salads, endive and beet salads, for lunch.
Everything was splendid as usual. We like this place a lot.
Great service! The menu is brief, yet full of options for your taste or mood. You can't go wrong with mussels here. Order them all!!
Food was delicious.
Delicious lunch and gracious, excellent service! Surprised my sister on her birthday with a special dessert complete with candle on top!
This was our first time at Et Voila since Covid. Although we found the food very good, the service was spotty, at best. We got lots of attention initially but as the evening passed, more people arrived, and our waiter disappeared. They may be suffering from short staffing.
Good steak, salad and french fries. Wine by the glass prices are too high. The lower priced ones are mediocre wines, the good wines are way too expensive. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend but with that caveat.
Great neighborhood restaurant with outstanding food, excellent Belgian beer selection, and gracious hospitality.
This is a lovely, cozy little Belgian (French) neighbourhood gem. The food is very good, and I always go there when I am in need of anything 'francais'. Prices are quite high but not obscene and service is sadly often painfully slow - but always friendly.
Great food Great service
Et Voilà is my family’s favorite restaurant. Food and service are always excellent. We enjoyed the halibut entrée and chestnut soup special.
Cozy ambience (Like eating at a neighborhood restaurant in Belgium or France) Delicious food and great service.
This is a true gem. The food is always excellent. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is warm and inviting. It is one of our favorites.
The food is always excellent. There were four in our party and each order something different (salmon, beef stew, halibut-special, and steak).
Efficient service and bountiful taste
Terrific food, great service. One of our favorites!
Thanksgiving Day Dinner was delicious! The service and cuisine were outstanding. We had a lovely family evening and the opportunity to dine out in a neighborhood gem on a busy holiday was greatly appreciated by my family. The mains were rigatoni Bolognese, filet, mussels and I had the traditional Turkey dinner. My adult kids were impressed with everything. Thank you and kudos to the staff who provided knowledgeable and impeccable service. Thank you.
Great little place in a nice neighborhood. Food was great.
Like eating in a European cafe. Also wonderful service.
This was a special Thanksgiving service, but they offered several "regular menu" options. As usual, the service and food was exceptional. A great restaurant!!
Wonderful Thanksgiving meal! Everyone at the table got a different dish, thanks to the rare ala carte offering on this holiday. Et Voila is a treasure!
A delicious and delightful meal
Wonderful as usual. Our daughter was in town so we decided to go out for a late dinner. She wanted a beer that wasn’t on the menu and without any hesitation the waitress went off to see if she could find it in their store and sure enough they had it. Just an example of how thoughtful they are. Can’t recommend them enough!
The best moules-frites in town. Delightful service and delicious food. Try the Alex cake you won't be sorry!
Great French/Belgian food that brings back memories of great meals in brasseries and bistrots in Brussels, Paris, and towns across France.... Can't go wrong with the hangar steak and 'frites'....
Wonderful experience! I love the place. And the staff is so nice.
Great martinis, excellent wine list, she had the sole...fantastic, I had the duck leg which was amazing. Salad was the goat cheese with greens and lightly dressed. One of my favorite Belgian-French restaurants.
Service excellent. Ambience good. Food very good except that hanger steak, from the first bite, was extremely chewy. Waiter and management offered to replace with another dish. Exchanged for grilled trout, which was excellent.
Excellent night. Food was perfect. Thank you Et Voila!
Outstanding Belgian/French cuisine wonderfully prepared, and served hot by the excellent waitstaff. Wine list was good and very well priced. This restaurant is definitely a keeper.
Delicious food and relaxing atmosphere. Service was sophisticated and excellent!
