One of my favorite go to places for brunch
Excellent Belgium food with plates you don't find in other restaurants in the area. If you can't get a reservation, just come late (around 9 pm), sit at the bar and have a drink, and you get a table before closing.
great food and service . A bit too noisy for me ( I m not American ) , but I 'v seen ( heard) much worse.
I ll go back for sure .
Wonderful as usual. We love this restaurant. Food, ambiance, seating, waiters all remind me of a restaurant in Europe. CHARMING!
We are going to ET voila once a week and never dispointed our server was Sylvain was very helpful and friendly service
The foie gras is a very nice addition to their menu, the branzino is alway a good choice and my husband always choose the ribeye steak cook to perfection
I have always enjoyed Et voila , quality of food and service is always top notch
We have try the veal croket amd the scallop dish both were amazing
We will be back to celebrate New Years
Excellent first visit, and we have already made another reservation!
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
We sat at the bar while waiting for a table, the young bartender let us try the new cocktail. There were amazing.
The service at our table was superb. We tried the special Choucroute it was so good !
Really good selection of French and Italien wine with reasonable price. We had Buche de Noël as dessert. We are going to order some for our family.
We already book our next visit !
Lovely little spot. Terrific food and nice selection of drinks and Belgian beers. Well worth trying out.
Love it, superb restaurant
This restaurant has amazing food, great service and a cozy vibe. It caters to adults, not children.
We love this restaurant, but the last time we ordered the cheese omelette which we have had before. The cheese was gruyere . The diner had the option of adding ham or ham or mushrooms with the cheese. In the past the cheese poured out and was delicious, Both my wife and I ordered the same omelette and the cheese was hardly discernible. We told our waiter about this and jokingly said that the cheese must have been applied with a butter spreader. He said that the cost of cheese has gone up and kept repeating that the cheese is carefully measured. The implication was that due to the increased price the restaurant was would have to increase the price of the dish to which I said "That is what you should do but don't skimp on the cheese that patrons grew use to. Besides a restaurant like this has patrons who would not question the increase for whatever reason including tariffs. I called Wegmans who said that they have seen some of their imported cheeses increase but it negotiated with its vendor who held down the increase. (I wouldn't expect this restaurant to have that buying power to do as much.
One of our favorites but this night not at its best. Service was a bit off. Food was good but not outstanding.
Et Voila continues to be excellent and continues to get better, if that is possible
We were seated (four of us) in one of the back “alcove” tables. It was intimate, quiet, cozy, perfect! The ambiance was exceptional and the food was ooohlalalicious! I’m still dreaming about the @Floating Island” dessert. Service, as always was exceptional. A VERY FAVORITE dC restaurant!
One of the male servers was drenched in cologne making for a big distraction from the food every time he walked by. Also, the snails had to be returned as they hadn't been properly prepared and were rubbery. We had a great experience here before and hopefully this was just a one-off.
Parking is the only problem encountered at Et Voila. Service and food were very good.
I love this restaurant but because the tables are so close together, people at adjacent tables seem to think it’s ok to join the conversation at my table.
Delicious with great service.
Thank you for the five stars ! We are happy that you like the service. See you soon, Sylvain Frances General Manager
Another spectacular meal at Et Voila - love this place - nice warm friendly atmosphere - attentive but not annoying service, and above all, great food - especially the muscles for which they are known, but really anything on the menus is great!! Thanks!
Et voila is a neighborhood spot and it reflects the neighborhood. If you're looking for lively diversity, look elsewhere. The food is good if predictable, and the mussels are excellent. It's a pleasant spot.
Dear Woodley, Sorry that you didn't like your experience at Et Voila. We are a really dynamic neighborhood bistro with authentic European cuisine. Regards, Frances General Manager firstname.lastname@example.org
Lovely in every aspect!look forward to our next time.
Thank you for the five stars ! See you soon, Sylvain Frances General Manager
We really enjoyed our experience. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The restaurant itself was very cozy.
Thank you for the five stars ! See you soon, Sylvain Frances General Manager
Excellent as always, we have try the orata special and we love it , wine list is very reasonable
Our waitress recommended the camomile grappa and
It was very good to finish our meal
Thank you for your feedback. We hope to see you soon, Happy that you liked our special. Regards, Sylvain Frances General Manager
Good food. Very noisy
Love this place! Consistently delicious food, great drinks. We don't love the beer options, but Et Voila is always worth the trip!
Waiter forgot one guest’s order, but served the other three anyway. Got orders for the others confused.
Best dining experience ever! Every item was perfection in flavor and appearance. Outstanding service! Cannot recommend any higher!!
This summer I spent two weeks teaching art in Bruges while my wife watched our 3 boys at home. This little oasis of Belgium was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary and say thank you to her! From a secluded table to complementary champagne to an adorable anniversary plate for dessert (and every other sumptuous course in between) the staff and chef made this a night to remember.
We had a nice dinner with friends...none of us been to et viola for dinner before... it was all good... everything was satisfactory... our waiter was fun and joked around with us... the service was fine and the food was good... I had been there for lunch earlier in the week and had a delicious salmon caesar salad and mussels that were made in a similar manner to escargot... and they were terrific. I would go again...
Lovely mussels, frites and DC’s best Caesar salad, served with charm and expertise. Our favorite destination for affirmation that the better things in life do exist near McLean!
I always enjoy the food at Et Voila. My main problem is the absence of any reasonable priced wines.
I had the carbonnade, Flemish beef stew, the perfect antidote to a rainy gloomy evening. It is one of my favorite meals in town. The meal was accompanied with a Belgian beer and finished with a pear tart. The service at the bar and table was excellent. The dinner was just a get together with conversation, good friends and good food. This is the way life should be.
Outstanding food and service as usual. Kudos to GM Sylvain and his team. Despite the fact that the restaurant filled up by about 7pm or so, everything was smooth sailing. I had mussels in a sort of Thai broth while my wife had salmon and both were delicious. And the profiteroles were and outstanding way to finish. One of our favorite restaurants (and I think for other folks as well).
The restaurant was amazing as always - this was my 3rd time there. Needed to change my reservation the day before to accommodate a larger group - they were able to find a place for us and our group of 8 had an amazing dinner. Best Mussels in the area for sure.
Thank you for your comment ! It was a pleasure to accommodate your party last Saturday. we hope to see you really soon, Sylvain Frances General Manager
I gave Et Voila five stars despite a mishap with one entrée. My wife's dinner entrée was prepared very well; she thought it was delicious. I had ordered a special--grilled rockfish with vegetable accompaniments. When my dish arrived, I looked very good (very nicely presented) but it smelled off. The aroma of fishiness was not appealing. Unfortunately, my first taste confirmed that impression. I didn't want to eat the fish. I alerted the server, who was gracious about the situation. I ordered a mushroom risotto; when it arrived, it was delicious. I was pleased and content. A relatively moderately priced wine was quite good. My wife and I enjoyed our time at Et Voila: it had a energetic, happy vibe, which contributed to our having a great evening. (The entrée misadventure faded quickly from our minds.)
Thank you for your coment. We are sorry if you didn't like our special Rockfish, but really glad that you enjoy your risotto ! We hope to see soon, Sylvain Frances General Manager
Seems like a great neighborhood bar/restaurant. Have been several times. Very comfortable place. Good food and excellent service by the team.
Thank you for your comment ! We are glad to count you as a regular guest. See you soon Sylvain Frances General Manager
We love this restaurant -- the food and ambiance are consistently great. However, on a busy Saturday evening, we felt rushed to eat quickly (plates being collected before several of us were close to finishing our entrees) and decide on our next courses so that they could turn the table. At one point, we had to tell them to back off and slow down the service. It felt heavy-handed and completely in contrast to the usual understated but attentive service we enjoy there. Hope it was an anomaly.
Thank you for the five stars ! In fact Saturday night are busy for us, and i am sorry if you felt rushed. We would like to host you during the weekdays. to offer you a quietest experience. Once again i am sorry if your experience didn't reach your expectation and quality of the past. Sylvain Frances General Manager
We enjoyed the food and service very much. The main shortcoming is that the tables are so close together that it is impossible to gracefully slide in or out without disturbing your neighbors and it would be very tough to have an intimate, private conversation. However the plus factors of excellent food, friendly and efficient service could override these concerns and probably do on any other than a weekend night. We'll certainly return to test that out!
Food is delicious. Restaurant feels a bit small even though they doubled in size a few years ago, you still feel squished a bit in there. But still a delightful place to have a yummy meal.
Lobster Burger & Floating Island are must have & to die for delicious!
