As a prepandemic fan, I was disappointed by a real decline in the quality of the food at Estragon. Dishes were bland and several came in a gratuitous coating of mayonnaise. The bread, which arrived in promising baguette bags, was cold and, I thought, stale. Perhaps an off night? Service was warm and friendly snd the decor is still charming.

The wait staff was so friendly! They gave us a lot of menu guidance, and steered us right every time - the only dish we didn't like much (lamb empanada special, and no fault of the dish; just not our preference) was the only one they didn't explicitly recommend! Will def be going back.

Nice decor and good drink and food menu. Enjoyed the beer list, urban mojito and some lovely Priorat. Garlic shrimp was tasty and served with bread to sop up the flavor. Special short rib stuffed peppers were somewhat bland. We were there at opening after a matinee so it was not noisy. Noticed ESPN FC on the bar tv which is a nice change of pace. Service not particularly attentive but fine.

Food quality has sadly declined since my last visit. Maybe it was an off night, but I would not return based on the quality of food my party received on my most recent visit. Truly disappointing, because my experience with this restaurant had always been excellent.

I tried Estragon yesterday evening for dinner! My friends and I had an assortment of tapas: Patatas Bravas (potatoes with salsa), Esparragos Con Romesco (grilled asparagus), Empanadlas de Verduras (spinach and artichoke turnovers), Pulpo La Gallega (grilled octopus), Pincho de Pollo (chicken skewers), and the croquetas de jamon! We also had a pitcher of the hibiscus margarita. My favorites were the octopus which was grilled nicely, potatoes which were perfectly crispy with a generous drizzle of the salsa sauce , and chicken skewers which tasted great with a squeeze of lemon juice. Max and Bryan provided great service.

Everything about Estragón is amazing. Spectacular authentic Spanish tapas under the inspiration and direction of Chef Julio de Haro in a jewel box of a setting. Attentive wait staff will make excellent suggestions and pace your meal so that just the right number of plates are on the table. In a word: perfect.

Four of us had dinner in the lounge after seeing the immersive king tut exhibition. The service was great and the food was fantastic. Everything came out hot and delicious. The cocktails were yummy too. Isabel our server was very knowledgeable and gave recommendations on some questions we had on food and drinks. Would definitely come back again.

Was mostly disappointed in the octopus.....neither it or the accompanying potatoes were seasoned so felt the dish was pretty bland. The crispy artichokes were delicious, LOVED the Cabernet they have by the glass, and thought the manchego would have been better served at room temp.

We sat outside since it was a nice night and it seemed a bit on the loud side inside. The food was delicious, with highlights being the cod and chocolate mousse. The tapas were larger than a typical tapa but still small plates. Service was attentive without hovering; nothing to complain about here!

I asked for my seat to be changed since it was in an area that I kept getting bumped into as people walked by. I was told no because the restaurant was booked. I found that odd since it was 5pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant was not even at half capacity by the time I left. Suggest the restaurant to improve the service because the location and prices are not in their favor.

Food was delicious! One of the items we had ordered didn’t arrive along with all of the others, so we reminded our server who made sure we eventually got it. A little pricey!
