Estiatorio Milos - NY Ratings and Reviews
We were seated promptly, the octopus, fish, milos special and the wine were fantastic. The waitstaff was as usual prompt and service oriented. The noise level was less then will be desired ,but evidence of a strong following .Just one of my favorite seafood restaurants in the world
Great seafood.food was comparable to a lot of the finest Greek seafood establishment from New Jersey to Pennsylvania.. top notch
However , the service is what sets this place apart .. hat’s off. Best service. I have experienced in a long while. Keep it up.
It was really such a pleasure...
Whereas the Dorade was delicious it was full of bones. My colleague and I both experienced the same issue. She actually swallowed a bone that luckily just passed through her throat.
When the waiter cleared I mentioned this so he could tell the kitchen. He just smiled at me as if to say, “girl”. Not a word.
They need to address this problem and the waiter.
This restaurant epitomized the essence of a perfect dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and humming but always quiet enough so you could have a real conversation, not a shouting match. The service was attentive, helpful but not fussy. The food was fresh and beautiful and magnificently prepared. The sauces were delicate and brought out the natural flavors of the food. The Greek wine our waiter selected had the complexity of a Montrachet but at s tiny fraction of the cost. I eat around the world with my chef daughter, and Milos is at the top of my favorites.
I have in MILOS (NYC, Las Vegas, ATHENS many times; this trip to NYC twice. Unfortunately I was assigned table where the main server Anastasio #50C could not care less about our food and service main course arrive more than an hour after we chose the fish at their "market" , needless to say I did not left a tip and complain to an older gentleman who appeared to be in charge and he offered us some drinks at the bar...ridiculous after being there for more than to hours what we wanted to do is rush to our Hotel
Outstanding food, especially the fresh, grilled fish which one picks out at the back of the restaurant. While it's not an intimate setting (a bit grand for that), the main room is beautifully designed and welcoming. Excellent service.
This restaurant demonstrates what is the best about good food -- top-of-the-line quality ingredients prepared simply to show off their natural taste. The octopus grilled in olive oil is incredibly tender, and the organic salmon was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back!
My wife and I had an outstanding pre-theatre meal here 2 days ago. The food was top notch, the service was perfect, and the restaurant is beautiful. The specialties are almost all seafood. We love good seafood, but it’s not for everyone.
The location is great for scheduling around a show or trip to Moma. It’s close enough to walk to broadway theatres but out of the chaos of the pure “theatre district”.
We are definitely going back and have already recommended it to others.
This is one of our favorite NY spots for top quality, clean, elegant mediterranean food. It is conveniently located near most of the Broadway theaters, and is a great spot for before or after a show, when the prix fixe menu offers a significant savings from the a la carte menu.
