It was great to see the chief in the dining room
Give your self a treat and put Estevans on your schedule. So sweet and quaint. Food is yummy!
Wonderful meal with family. Estevan specializes in New Mexican food with French flair and has amazing sauces with his protein. Specials of salmon with Beurre blanc and lamb sirloin were cooked perfectly and so delicious. Salads are local produce lightly dressed and beautifully presented. His flan is one of the best I have had and almond cake, tres leches cake and ice creams are all wonderful. Thanks again for a great experience!
best food experience in years
Estevan presides over this charming restaurant with a second floor balcony overlooking the street near the plaza. The food is excellent, bringing a southwest flair to classic French and Italian dishes. The ravioli are a must and the enchiladas are delicious if you want to go straight SW.
Excellent bday dinner with friends. The food was on point, and the restaurant has the best selection of wines from Burgundy in Santa Fe.
Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food and great outdoor venue
Spent almost $200 on dinner for 3 and had the smallest portions ever. Ended up going around the corner to a food truck and had more food that was absolutely delicious for $50.
Wonderful food in the lovely outdoor dining area with out of town guests.
Very nice ambiance. Food was very good. Enjoyed our meal.
Staff was friendly, seated immediately, food was terrific. Good wine selection. A very enjoyable experience. We will be back
Food and service were outstanding. Overall speed of service could have been better.
A great experience all around. Would definitely return
Everything was wonderful! The only downside was the dining table density was too high for the space inside and outside! We were part of 3 different dining groups like it or not! Great food and service!
Beautiful seating on the balcony and attentive staff made this yummy meal feel upscale.
Estevan exceeded expectations. We arrived in Santa Fe that afternoon and decided it would be a good idea to make a dinner reservation since it was a Friday. To be honest, I was a little concerned that Estevan had availability for every time slot. Most of the other restaurants could seat us at 5:30 or 8:30, but nothing in between. We were seated immediately with our choice of an inside or outside table. It looked like rain, so we sat inside. Hubs had the ribeye and I had the chicken. Both were delicious. We finished with the goat milk flan and a port, both of which were excellent.
We met the Chef upon arrival - our reservation was via open table and he could not immediately find it - he was rude. I was not impressed. Aman was a nice waiter. Food was good. Service was ok - I had to ask for silverware twice. I could get over that but Chef was not pleasant - such a shame.
The food was good but didn’t justify the prices. The service was good. We won’t go back, there are many better restaurants in town!
Awesome! Had dinner there a couple of nights ago
Food was awesome and service attentive very good restaurant
Beautiful food and presentation, this is a one of a kind chef driven place. Forget the big plates of Mexican slop and get your food refined with authentic Chimayoan chiles.
Missing forks with entrees in front of us for a good while, was told patio heat would be turned on but never was, had to remind server for side of sour cream after entree arrived, and then was charged 75 cents for it. Loud cars ripping down the road (owner should stump city for speedbumps). When came time to pay the bill, the pen exploded ink all over. Server was very nice however, balcony patio was charming, and food was tasty... just some things to consider.
Estevan is one of the more attractive and comfortable of the upscale restaurants in Santa Fe, but, like most others, grossly overprices its wine list with not even one bottle in the $30-$40 range. (The prices on the restaurant's website have increased.) The food is very well prepared but expensive. $40 for a smallish piece of fresh fish with a few side vegs is not a good value. Other entrees are in the $35-$40 range, and salads and appetizers are upwards of $16 and not very generous. If you don't care about value, you will have a good meal here.
Gorgeous setting and fabulous service. It will be perfect once they have a full bar.
The four of us had dinner at Estevan on a Saturday night. My wife and I had Sangria, which was good but not outstanding. We had no appetizers. My wife had the arctic char special, I had the trout, my oldest had the pasta boulangnaise, and the younger had the posole. All loved their dishes. For desert, my wife had the Tres Leches cake, while I had the Taos Cow Ice creams with fruit. Both of us loved our deserts. The waiter was attentive.
Incredible dinner in a very intimate environment. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! The red wine chili sauce was amazing...and don't miss the goat milk flan!
Excellent food and service. Farm to table. Enchiladas were just the right heat.
Amazing food! This was the first time we had dined at Estevan and we will definitely go back.
Every time I come to Estevan it is a fantastic dining experience, and today was no different!
Not a great value, overpriced for what you receive.
Food was better than we expected.
Service was excellent
Only complaint was we didn’t want three scoops of ice cream with strawberries.
We asked for one scoop. They put 3 berries on their own plate and charged us extra.
Our one scoop with berries ended up costing more than the 3 scoops with berries!
Estevan is always magical. If you are fortunate to catch him to have a conversation you’ll hear about the New Mexican kitchen and all of its hidden secrets.
this meal was just OK, we ordered chicken and fish and they both came alone on a colorless plate with literal puddles of butter poured on top. i'm not sure why butter was needed which was also poured on the veggies that came on a side plate for some reason. I should have sent it back. Anyway the view was nice and the staff was nice. they had taos cow ice cream which is good.
TINY PORTIONS of salads entrees & drinks. Grossly overpriced. Decent quality food. Terrible value overall.
Chef Estevan and crew delivered again. Thank for another great meal!
Food was good service was slow. Felt waiters has their favorites. Owner seemed to concentrate on what I assume were regulars. Ok experience, not great. Next time in Santa Fe will try something different, will likely never go back to restaurant.
Our waitperson, a young woman, was a delight.
Good food, small portions, but not wow. Minimal use of sauces results in just ok meals.
Tried it for a birthday dinner. Expensive. $25 is a lot for a chicken enchilada. Food was good but not sure it was worth it. They include the tip in the bill for a party if 5, something we almost didn’t catch.
Waiter said the special was Atlantic Shark
We found out later it was Atlantic Salmon
Fried chicken and fried trout was very bland
The molten lava cake was cold
The Flan was excellent and the best thing we had last night
