Such a great experience to sit on a flower filled patio drinking fantastic sangria!!!
Dinner at Estevan was a wonderful experience. We dined on their 2nd floor patio which was a little tight but very nice with no real issues with street noise. Our server, Truit, was spectacularly good. He knew his food and wine very well and was able to make some great suggestions. The food was also spectacular. I had Estevan’s special enchiladas and I can’t wait to try them again.
The veal was amazing, the sauce was out of this world!!! A wonderful special on the menu!
Great service and selection of entrees (especially for carnivores), cozy ambiance and comfortable noise level. Waiter was very accommodating when we wanted to split an entrée so we could have an appetizer, have salad and dessert; we got to try Taos Ice Cream Co ice cream. Just off the Santa Fe Plaza. This was my second visit and I thoroughly enjoyed both meals.
EVERYTHING about this dining experience was excellent! The setting is lovely, the food most excellent and the ambience one of perfection! Chef Estevan was there to greet people and make sure all was top notch. We are locals who will return and bring guests!
Food was delicious! Excellent! Lovely seating area on the patio outside. I’d highly recommend the small outside patio as the inside wasn’t the same ambiance. Great attentive service and a visit by the chef. We’ll definitely be back!
Spouse had pork bolagnese and I had trout. Very delicious. Ordered calamari appetizer which was outstanding. Great service and ambiance! Would definitely go back!
This is an easy one. There is no liquor so they offer a wine margarita. Do not bother.
The chips and salsa were quite good. The Posole was good but not great. The tomatoes in the tomato salad were too ripe and mushy. The guacamole was simply boring with pasty avocado, mushy tomato and tasteless corn. The ravioli was so rubbery that I only ate 1/2 of one (of 3). A nice waitress asked if I liked it and I said no that it was rubbery. The owner and executive chef, Esteban Garcia, was busy talking to people at the next time, heard what I said and went back to the kitchen. However, as we walked right by him to leave, still hungry, he did not say a word.
A bad night in the kitchen is forgivable but an uncaring owner/chef is unforgivable.
This was the single worst dining experience I have ever had in Santa Fe!
Lovely evening on the patio with four excellent and beautifully plated appetizers and an excellent tempernillo.
One can not say enough good things about Estevan and his wonderful restaurant. A friendly, professional staff and a real dedication to using healthy local ingredients to create memorable meals is "business as usual here." We are locals and we've given up on virtually every other restaurant in town. It's more fun to come here, and the food is so much better. Just the best!!!!
I dined here with my 2 kids (ages 14 and 12), and we loved it. Beautiful setting, seating inside and outside, and delicious food.
We couldn’t have enjoyed our evening at Estevan any more. The food was exquisite and service impeccable. I was highly impressed!
Love the quail dish! Simply delicious! The spanish red wines they carry are wondeful!
A favorite place with terrific food and fantastic service. The chef and his staff always do a superlative job. Dining here after a stressful work week is one of our all-time favorite activities. We are happy to have this restaurant in our fine city!!!
We could not have asked for better food or service! My only problem was too much food, I had the trout.
The food is exceptional as always!!
Love sitting on the beautiful patio!
The wine selection is superb!
Love the selection of biodynamic wines from Oregon!!!
The chef was behind the bar, and served me! Such a wonderful little place with a very authentic menu!
We shared a wonderful meal on the upstairs outside porch. Service was fabulous and always appreciate being welcomed by Estevan. Beautiful restaurant. Food delicious. Our new favorite restaurant in our adopted city.
Unfortunately we had a very loud group of diners sitting next to our table which became a distraction.
Food Is excellent and customer service was remarkable. We arrived 15 minutes before they opened and were seated and served immediately.
Wonderful food and the personal attention by the Owner/Chef was very much appreciated.
We were greeted by the owner upon arrival and sat out on the rooftop patio. Great atmosphere, great food and great service.
We have traveled extensively all over the world, and visited many wonderful restaurants. Estevan was great, and can hold it's own with some of the best. I highly recommend Estevan to anyone who appreciates great food, great service and a wonderful overall experience.
Estevan is a hidden treasure: warm atmosphere, lovingly prepared food, and wonderful service right in the heart of old Santa Fe. Perhaps because there is a bar downstairs, the restaurant only features wine and beer: in our cocktail-obsessed era, this is a bit of a drawback, but the wine list is interesting and diverse. All in all, a great value and a lovely evening!
The wild boar was amazing! Such a beautiful atmosphere on the patio surrounded by flowers!
Fabulous food using local ingredients which I know for sure as I see Estevan at the Farmers Market buying vegetables etc.
Very good wine lists especially the Pinot Noirs.
Outstanding service every time!
The outdoor patio is absolutely magnificent, cool breezes and a wonderful atmosphere!
Wonderful restaurant, best in Santa Fe! Food, staff, ambience, all off the charts! A divine and magical culinary experience!
Awesome place in every way. The food was outstanding and the chef is very hands on. So cool!
The restaurant serves a small platter of upscale chips and salsa which is just the right size. My date had the trout and I had the pasta with the pork shoulder. We split an almond cake with creme anglaise. We each had a glass of excellent wine. Service professional and friendly. Food was excellent. Nice decor on second floor of a hotel.
Havent been to Estevans in a while and was very happy that the quality of the ingredients and the deliciousness of the courses hasn’t dropped one bit. Good as ever! The best part was that the chef personally came to our table to greet us and ask us how our meal was. Great warm personality! Best meal in Santa Fe!
While there are a lot of options in Old Santa Fe, we really enjoyed the dinner here in the Chimaya Hotel. The service and food were great and the setting just wonderful. There were entrees under $20 on the menu but you can also order up something expensive and unique too. There was a pretty nice mix of Southwest and European possibilities to choose from. Each of the three of us thought our dish was the best!!!
Great food, good service, excellent wine
The atmosphere is lovely! A beautiful vase of local peonise and delphinium were thoughtfully arranged at the entrance. A perfect beginning to a locally sourced delicious dining experience!
Really enjoyed our dinner at Estevan. The patio/balcony table was really nicely shaded and because it was not at the street level, still quiet despite being in the middle of things. But the better part was the meal. The menu was adequately varied, and the selections offered good choices. The individual dishes we chose were excellent quality, appropriate quantity, and very satisfying. We really liked the fact that the food was honest and not overly pretentious, which seems to be a trend these days. Great meal.
The Asparagus soup was exceptional! Can never get enough of the best tres leches cake in town either!
We were two couples in NM for the first time to celebrate my 40th birthday. A highlight of the trip was FOOD. We had reservations at amazing places for every night of our trip. And Santa Fe did not disappoint. But amongst all the great food we had, Estevan stood out for all of us.
The space was simple and beautiful inside. Great woodwork throughout. It's small and cozy and not too loud. The food is southwestern and it was arguably the best southwestern food we all had on our trip.
The staff was all on point. We were seated immediately by a lovely host. We were taken care of by our waiter and the other staff members. Estevan (the executive chef and owner) came by to see how our food was and chat for a minute. Empty plates were quickly cleared. Each of us loved our meals and the desert was amazing.
Food over cooked. One of the dishes served 30 mins after everyone else was served. Waitress was rude. Never going back there for overpriced food and pot quality.
Best duck a l'orange I have had in a long time. The sauce was incredible!
We are regulars and absolutely adore this restaurant. Best in Santa Fe, forget the hype ladies and gentlemen, this is it.
