Thanksgiving brunch was done well considering the COVID restrictions. The only think that could have made it better was to have hot vegetables available. Good service.
It was our first time to the Essence. We went there for brunch. It was excellent from end to end. Great food, great service and most importantly, they maintained the Covid protocol safety measures very well. Highly recommend the brunch. The food options were of a healthy choice. Good job!
Enjoyed my first visit here. Came for the Sunday Market Brunch Buffet. There is a menu you can order from, as well as stations to get food from. Each station has plexiglass, with an employee standing behind it who serves you the food. Note: we asked for items, such as the french toast and pancakes, as they were not listed on the menu. It is $45 per person. Highly recommend!
We were happy with the food and service, although prices are a bit high. The decore needs some updating as it is out of date. As a person who has a sensitivity to fragrances, I had a hard time sitting in this restaurant. The hotel air freshener is very strong and unpleasant to me. I could actually taste it in my mouth and it gave me a headache. I would it be able to go back eve though we enjoyed the food and service.
Food was served hot. Very tasty. In fact, it kept up its reputation. Will come back again.
Not the same service and food quality as before. Please don't use COVID as the excuse. the raw oysters were just bad, smell fishy and looked like they were thawed from frozen foods. Crab legs had mushy texture. Roast beef is tough to chew on. Dessert pastries were just bad. All food quality is simply bad to be served in a Hilton brand hotel. Server was disorganized and served dishes came out short on quantity ordered.

My husband and I went for a Valentine's Prix Fixe 4-course dinner on Feb. 14, 2020. The food was delicious and was elegantly displayed. The buffet desert table was thoughtfully decorated with Valentine's theme. V. courteous and professional service. A nice bonus of having live piano music with singing of songs all to my liking. Will definitely return & will recommend it to friends! Well done, Essence of Unionville!

It was our first time. The food was great! The ambience was perfect, not too loud. Service staff were attentive. Free parking.

Worst Christmas buffet ever.
Food choices r very limited compared to the price.
Stop serving oyster from 7 pm.
They took the chocolate fountain away before we got chance to try.

Oysters ran out by 7pm and dessert table was half emptied by 8pm. If you do not plan on eating at 5pm or 5:30 the latest, you will be disappointed that the specialty foods were all gone!
Since the restaurant is in a hotel, it lacked the Christmas ambience in the dining areas. Most of the Christmas décor is in the buffet area.
We didn't like the fact that the server took the card for payment and walked away with it for several minutes. I suggest to get a portable payment machine like they have in shops and restaurants.
Other than the above comments, my family and I had a wonderful dining experience. We will return next Christmas.

Really disappointed by the food available and were not told the buffet would be ended at 8:30pm. Our reservation was at 7:30pm and glad that we were early at 7pm. Otherwise if on time, would not have anything to eat for nearly $85 (all in) per person. Christmas pudding, fruit plate, soul, were nearly empty by 7:45-8pm. We asked for replenishment but did not get done. Not worth it at all..very unhappy as we invited 2 guests to join us for the Christmas Eve dinner. We were there also in 2018 Boxing Day Brunch and way better.
Not worth the price it charged. Could be much better. The kitchen staff were not very keen on refilling the food, especially the hot items. Not enough fruits selection. The live music is mediocre.
Sunday Brunch offers a wide variety of food, loves the roasted beef, turkey. Ravioli is delicious. Seafood station with King crab is a pleasant surprise. Should save room for Dessert station .....as there are a lot of goodies to pick and choose. Services are very good! We enjoyed ourselves very much there !
Our waiter Tuvin was a Rockstar. Guy is great. Funny, good attitude.

Last year was excellent and lots of people. Somehow this year is less than half of the people. Food was much better last year. The service was ok, example there was no soup bowls until I asked for it. Then they didn’t put out soup spoons and small plates for soup bowls. Remember the price is $65 plus service charge, so I expected a little bit better organized.
Went to try their afternoon tea buffet, the food was sadly very underwhelming. Almost the entire selection of cakes and pastries were store-bought, maybe 3-4 items at most were made in-house (the difference in taste was noticeable). Unfortunately for a restaurant inside of a hotel, the overall experience was disappointing. Perhaps their lunch or dinner options may be more promising.
Seafood bar was bad, crab is not fresh, shrimp is literally still frozen, the roast beef was okay but nothing special, nobody should eat their sushi and dessert is probably the worst out of all.
Disappointing. Made reservations for Father’s Day and when we got there were told the buffet closes in 30 mins (it was only 9:30). If they were clearing breakfast for brunch they shouldn’t have take out reservation. The food was also mediocre- not worth $24 pp. Used to be better
Food was great but seating us out in the hall by the window and far from the food wasnt ideal... especially after we made reservations in advance. Also, we were asked asked if we were celebrating an occasion thinking wes get some kind of bonus but nobody did anything... not even wish us a Happy Anniversary!

The food is okay but the service needs improvement. 1 our server gave us the bill without us asking it first 2 there was a lousy kid who make noise with his ballon but the server does not care
Service was poor, slow, unattentibe. My ravioli came out of the kitchen with a heap of cream sauce that was dried out as if it sat under a slaw set overnight for a long time. Pasta was clumped together and dry. Didn’t eat most of it. Waiter never asked how the food was after placing the dishes and when he saw all of it left over, never asked if we were not happy with the food. Bad all around!
Ordered a 5 course Valentine dinner with my wife. 1st and 2nd course came, but they missed 3rd course and served 4th. We had to ask the waiter and had it served afterwards. The waiter also didn't clear our finished empty plates and expected us to move the plates over so he can put down the food. Lastly, all ladies were suppose to receive a rose at the end, our waiter forgot about that also. Other that issues with the waiter, food was quite good.

Nice brunch with a fair amount of variety. Family enjoyed the outing. I think the price was wrong on our bill but we paid anyway. Food was very good and the hotel setting is good. I am sure we will come again in the future.

We were delighted with the excellent service, communication re special occasion, seating and fine food. The lunch menu was original and tasty. We were seated at the window looking outside where we enjoyed the outside scenery. A lovely birthday cake was prepared and served. Thank you.

Amazing buffet at a good price. The selection is generous and varied. The staff are incredibly observant and never let your glass go dry.
Food was pretty good and reasonably priced. However, If I want to summarize our experience in a sentence, we did not feel welcomed. They said there was a big event going on but the restaurant was almost empty that did not make sense. Servers were not are attentive. Their Attitude was not so welcoming either.
...the restaurant was very clean and bright...we were early, so had a booth...very comfortable with some privacy...servers were friendly and efficient...we were catered to but not rushed...the food was fresh, perfectly cooked and artistically presented...we have been here before and will be here again in the future for another special meal...thanks...
We booked for buffet for 9:30AM. We were seated at 9:45AM and told that buffet would finish by 10AM. Brunch buffet would not start until 11:30. We should have been informed when we were seated that buffet would be finishing and given the choice to come in or leave. Our server was good enough to waive our buffet charges and we ended up ordering a la carte from with choices the of the same food they were serving at the buffet. This put quite a damper on what was suppose to be a birthday celebration. We will not be back.
