   What a nice surprise. The cocktails were innovative and wonderful and the food was exceptional. Frankly, they compete on quality and presentation with the best. I was with a small group of business colleagues and we all agreed we would be back. I highly recommend this restaurant to any one coming to New Brunswick. They even have salsa dancing lessons at 9.

   While we were greeted with a lively restaurant when we first entered, my wife and I left disappointed. It was quite loud, though energetic and fun. The service was not great, as we were seated for a few minutes before having drinks ordered and then because of a delay in the kitchen, our main meal was served right on top of the appetizers. While I found the shrimp with garlic sauce appetizer to be quite tasty, the duck I ordered was dry and with less flavor than anticipated.

   Overall the restaurant was fantastic! Food was great! Selection was great! Where they can improve is with the service. After asking for a drink with mezcal, bartenders choice, I waited while watching others at my table sipping their beverages. Eventually the manager came over and asked me what I wanted. I repeated EXACTLY what I told the waitress and this time my drink came. Another thing that can be improved is with the random photographer charging $20 for pictures. Found this was very slimy. I don’t want to feel forced in buying a picture. If I wanted that experience I’d go to Times Square and look for Elmo.

   The food and drinks were good. I was just disappointed that the vegetarian bean pizza is no longer on the menu. That way fave dish there but the Roja Viejo was delicious!

   From the staff to the food everything was top notch. Sangria was sweet and smooth. We had Octupus appy which was good. Churrasco skirt steak was really good. If attending a show in New Brunswick you should really consider this Cuban restaurant

   My husband and I both love this place and it has become our lunch before every State Theatre show. The octopus appetizer and the duck salad are my favorites. My husband loves the ceviche and sauteed shrimp. The only thing I ever had that I did not like was the tartare. The drinks are also unique and delicious and the service fantastic. Highly recommend!

   Food and service were EXCELLENT. We sat outside on a gorgeous Day, and never felt like we were forgotten out there. Manager came to each table to check in, which I always appreciate. The menu was extensive and explained each item very well for first timers. The sangria was perfect and the desserts were delicious. This is a hidden gem!

   We ate here before a play at the State Theater. It is a short walk to the theater and the food was delicious. We would eat here again.

    We were very disappointed with our dinner. Esquina Latina had been one of our favorite restaurants in New Brunswick. Our appetizers were excellent, both the cerviche and the guacamole. Two of the three main courses were not up to par. The short ribs had a sauce that was too salty and another dish with plantains and chopped meat was less tasty than expected. The salmon was good. The lava cake was good, but the vegan ice cream had a strange consistency. Our favorite main course was taken off the current menu. Will not be rushing back any time soon.
