Disappointed that, having reserved, they gave our table away when we were just ten mins late. It was very noisy, people shrieking on the next table. Food is nice, service friendly, and outdoor seating is great in summer. But not a place for a relaxed brunch or date. Also, a Brazilian place should have a real coffee machine.

We were disappointed in our experience here because the food was just adequate, the seats were uncomfortable, and it was so noisy you could hardly have a conversation. Prices were high for the quality and quantity of food.

They took such good care of me and my friends for my bday dinner! Delicious food, amazing pre-fixe options that didn't break the bank, and very attentive management/servers. Had a great time and will definitely be back.

Esperanto is a lively and fun place to go for dinner with friends. The drinks are delicious and the food is amazing. My only complaint is that the service was a bit slow, took awhile to get our drinks.

We showed up with 2 toddlers who were ready to dance! Restaurant was empty when we got there at 6:30ish. Staff was extremely amicable towards our little dancers, who really turned on with the singer started at 8pm. By that time the restaurant was filling up, so we hopefully did not overstay our welcome. Oh, and the food was delicious too.

Funky place, very energetic, lots of young people. Friendly staff. But the food was amazing: some sort of Brazilian fusion. Very creative. For Valentine's day dinner I had filet mignon with chimichurri sauce. Dessert included a mango custard--I had never had such a taste experience before--and coconut-chocolate truffles (out of this world).

I've been to this place few times and I love the food, although I wish it was more Brazilian food (at least for brunch) It's still delicious. However, the service is not always the greatest. As a person who has worked as a waitress for a while, I can say they are not always attentive to their clients and not so friendly most of time.

When we got there, we were told they wouldn't honor our reservation and that they had been calling us all morning which was a lie as we had made the reservation in the afternoon. They accepted reservations when they shouldn't have and didnt apologies for it.

On a busy Saturday night, the loud music made it necessary for everyone to raise their voices to carry on a conversation to the point where we wanted to finish our meals quickly to escape the din. While the grilled salmon was delicious, the feijoada was disappointing, as the broth was thin and the beef was tough. The ceviche appetizers were tasty.

Great food and ambiance. We happened to be there during the Colombia vs. Peru soccer game, so it was super festive and service was not as attentive because of the crowd, but it was full of excitement and energy. The live music was awesome and the food always delights. A must if you are in the E. village.

This spot was really good down in alphabet city. I had the chicken quesadilla which was amazing. They have unlimited mimosas, sangrias and other drinks unlimited for an hour and a half. The servers were great and they always asked us if we needed anything to make sure we were comfortable. The server over charged one of my friends and they accommodated us with a special drink for the table. Overall, this is a great spot to enjoy brunch In the city.

The service wasn't great. It was painfully, painfully slow. We had what seemed to be a very genuine waiter but we constantly needed to remind him about items on our order... drinks we're excruciatingly slow to come, if at all. It appeared that the hostess was doing what she could to remedy the issue.

I've had some really nice meals there in the past but I think we all came away from that brunch with much disappointment.

too bad their tasty mojitos are not part of brunch specials 🙃. A few on a hot summer's afternoon would brighten the day!

I came here for a nice get-together dinner with a group of girlfriends on a Friday evening, and we cannot stop talking about how much we loved this place!! Starting with the ambiance, this place is an adorable neighborhood find on Avenue C, great atmosphere, music, and environment. Every bite of food we tried was absolutely delicious! We were so overwhelmed with all of the incredible options on the menu and felt as if we wanted to try everything. We ended up having two rounds of appetizers because we couldn't get enough! Also, the margaritas were great, and our service was wonderful as well. This meal was the talk of our weekend, and we are already planning our next visit! :)

Esperando is absolutely awesome for brunch! $29 gets you BOTTOMLESS breakfast drinks (mimosas, screw-drivers, and/or Bloody Mary's) plus an entree meal. Often times with bottomless, I am willing to skimp on quality of food a bit: I realize I am paying not a lot for a lot of alcohol and the food can be not the best. That is NOT the case here. The brunch was absolutely delicious. I had the veggie egg-white omelette with shrimp; excellent. My friends had the breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, quesadilla, and another egg dish and they were all fantastic. Each came with a side of spicy, baked breakfast potatoes which were surprisingly out of the world, and a side salad.

Let's talk bottomless. When they say it, they mean it. The alcohol flowed as much as we wanted. No skimping, or slow service, or small pours. Our server, Storm, was THE BEST. Ask for Storm. She kept the drinks coming, was funny, friendly, responsive, and even brought us a complementary flan dessert at the end. As well, she let us know when 2 hours was about to pass and offered to bring out two more rounds before our time was up! At that point 2 more rounds and we would have been on the floor, but I appreciated the offer.

One of the best brunches I have had in NYC.

I ordered their specialty (a seafood stew) which was good but a bit rich for my taste. The service was great, I asked them to delay the entree course so that my friend and I would not feel rushed. They were more than compliant. One small complaint: no coffee available at meal's end.
