The little Espaa is a tapas bar, with paella & sangria that offers a wide selection of tapas and wines to those in the Omaha, Nebraska area that wish an experience reminiscent of a trip to Spain. The menu includes cold tapas and hot tapas with many that are suitable for vegetarians. With an extensive full bar, little Espaa has specialty drinks as well as numerous martinis to go along with the beer and wine offerings.
On the cold tapas menu, notable items include ceviche, tres quesos and carpaccio. A house favorite is a paella for two which is cooked to order so requires 45 minutes to prepare. Other hot choices at little Espaa include flamb, croquetas (chicken and serrano ham dumplings), datiles (dates with serrano ham and blue cheese) and caracoles (sauted snails).
VERY REGRETTABLY, this special gem of a tapas restaurant in Omaha is closing as of October 1, 2016. So this very encouraging review may only reach the few who are able to get there before it closes. A terrific place to go to dinner with a group to share a meal, conversation, and a memorable experience. Service and our waiter was fabulous, attentive without being intrusive, and we weren't on her timetable. Each dish, we ordered 10 for 4 of us, was exceptional.
Everything was great
Espana Tapas is a very nice place to go for something different. Ordering a number of small plates to share is great for a dinner date. The small restaurant is very eclectic and has a decent wine list. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Very enjoyable and would definitely eat there again.
Second time there. This time for our anniversary. Excellent food and service. Only drawback is parking is very limited.
We came to Espana for a friend's going away party. She is moving to Spain, so we thought it most appropriate. The food was fantastic, and the sizes were great for us to try multiple different things, but you could pass if there was something you weren't crazy about. All in all, I love Espana, for dates, friends or family. Good Times.
Went for a birthday and the server was knowledgeable on menu items and gave advice on how to order tapas to be enough for everyone.
Our food was very good, as usual. When we walked in there was a not-so-good smell, almost like sewer. The smell wasn't at the back of the restaurant, where we were seated, luckily!
We enjoyed the meal very much! My only disappointment was the sangria was weak this time. I tried the white as well, and it just wasn't up to the standard I had remembered. The meal is pricey for the actual amount of food you get...if it were a little less of a splurge my family would go more often. Service and ambiance were excellent.
My wife and I had a great time. The Seafood Piella was delicious. I would recommend this resturant to everyone!
The service and ambiance are really the key highlights here. I will say that it has dipped down in "food excellence" since I last dined here 6 years ago. The food was good, but it has also changed quite a bit since then. Overall, a good, authentic place to eat with great service.
