España Restaurant of Amelia Island Ratings and Reviews
Our favorite place on Amelia island. The food is always fantastic and always up to the standards that they are famous for. The spicy snapper is loaded with flavor and a nice kick that can sneak up on you. No worries tho, they offer a good selections of big wines that balances it well. A varied menu offering something for everyone. Give Espana's a try and you will return.
Everything was very good with our dining experience. The only 2 things that could be improved on was the lighting was at a low level which made seeing the menu difficult. When I made the reservation I indicated it was a birthday celebration. It was not recognized by the staff. Food was excellent and the service very good.
Our server, Omar, was fantastic! The food was really good, however, the rice in our paella stuck to the bottom of the cast iron dish it was served in. The dish still tasted great, we just wish the rice wasnt stuck to the pan. Everything else was 10/10. Short rib empanadas were amazing!!
Delicious! Calamari steak is to die for. OMG it was fabulous. I wanted another one as soon as I was finished eating it. Sea scallops were phenomenal, cooked to perfection with a delicious parsley and caper sauce. I will be going back soon to try more yumminess!
Reservations are recommended as this place is very popular and always does a good business.
My only negative issue was that once the dining room fills up it gets pretty loud and is hard to have a conversation, which isn't the restaurants fault, just the loud people who were there that night I think! :) I will be back!
We have eaten there numerous times, food is always a treat! Flavors are great, fresh and anyone can find something on the menu. We love it when it's just us or when it's a group and share a lot of tapas! Remember to make reservations - you do not want to walk up without them!
This is an intimate Spanish restaurant serving tapas, paella and other Spanish and Portuguese style dishes. The seafood paella for two was our choice and it was delicious. Also tried the garlic shrimp as an appetizer with a very tasty sauce. The service here was also excellent. Will put this on our list of restaurants to try again.
Eating at España was like taking a trip to Spain without paying for the airfare! From the delicious Sangria, the authentic tapas selections, the perfect paella rustica to the creamy flan for dessert......you will truly feel like you’ve dined in Spain. Service was absolutely perfect!
Espana is one of our absolute favorite restaurants on Amelia Island. We get salads and share tapas and that is usually enough food! It is the perfect date night setting and the food is always absolutely delicious. Love it every single time. Do your tastebuds a favor and go to Espana!!!
Never disappoints. We visit Amelia Island 2 or 3 times a year and dinner at España is always a must. Atmosphere, food and wait staff all deserve a high rating. Outside dining located in a charming garden. Interesting variety of tapas and sangria contribute to a fun dining experience.
Definitely put this restaurant on your list while visiting Amelia Island. We ordered 4 tapas dishes shared between two people. Each one was excellent! There is an extensive selection and it was hard to choose but I highly recommended the escargot. There is also an excellent selection of main courses. We will go back to try! We had the flan for dessert and it was wonderful. The sangria is also very good. Great service and great atmosphere. Would be great for outdoor dining but unfortunately for us, the weather was too cold. The restaurant accommodated those who wanted to brave the weather with blankets.
Enjoyed dinner for 2
I would recommend the escargot for those who have never tried this before. My first time and thought it was delicious
Also when ordering appetizers remember they are generous portions best to share.
Thank you for tasty meal and great servoce
