España Restaurant of Amelia Island
Family owned and operated since 2004. The original on Amelia Island!
Great birthday dinner! We come here every time we visit the island!! Love it!
This was our third time at Espana and the food is always wonderful! Husband always get the paella; says its the best he's ever had and I got the special-redfish ; it was wonderful! It was much noiser than we remembered. Usually it was quiet and cozy in the past but we really enjoyed it and will always come back!
Everything was great. If you are looking for an upscale restaurant with reasonable prices and a perfect atmosphere you will love this place.
Always a fantastic place to go and eat. Love this restaurant, and come to eat everytime we are on the land.
The food had by everyone was excellent. The Sangria was outstanding and enjoyed by all. Duarte, our waiter, was attentive but didn’t hover. Only complaint is the NOISE level. At times, it was difficult to hear my dinner partners.
Great food, quaint restaurant and wonderful service!
This is the best restaurant in Fernandina. My husband and I ordered the calamari for an appetizer, it was cooked perfectly and the marinara sauce was the best. We both ordered the snapper special and it was amazing!! We can't wait to go back!
One word....Amazing! Best paella hands down. Thank you for a memorable and lovely evening ❤️❤️
This is the best restaurant on Amelia Island. Everybody knows it! I’ve been dozens of times and I am happier and happier with my choice every time!
Food was good but no one beats the Columbia Restaurant for fresh bread and house made Sangria!
We have been eating at Espana’s since we moved here 6 years ago. The food is consistently delicious and the staff is not only gorgeous, but attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed and whether we dress up or down, we always feel comfortable. There is a reason The Rolling Stones chose to eat here- great food in an intimate setting. I almost hate to rave about them too much because I’ve always felt like they are a “best kept secret” type place.
Wonderful food, atmospher and service. Have eaten here numerous times and always a real treat
The patio was lovely with the fans even though it was in the 90s.
Celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary. The concierge from the Omni Amelia Island Planation Resort recommended this restaurant for our dinner on Aug 13, 2019. It was a wonderful choice. We received a complimentary small bottle of Champagne in honor of our Anniversary. Very nice touch :).
Enjoyed appetizers of Tremocos and Mediterraneo. Both were light and tasted very good.
Our entree consisted of Paella mediterranean for two.
This was outstanding.
The only minor negative comment is that our waiter tended to disappear however the other waiter and busboy jumped right in to help us. Not really an issue.
I could see the parking being a problem however as we drove up someone was pulling out.
I would definitely go here again.
Also the cute side path and entrance added charm
We are repeat diners and love the cuisine and service. The main dining room was louder than I remembered from previous visits but acceptable.
It was so pleasant to experience different flavors for a change. The waiter was very knowledgeable and professional. Our dishes were expertly prepared with fresh seafood and we enjoyed it very much.
Great food, service & atmosphere
Espana is our favorite Amelia Island restaurant. We enjoy having a variety of tapas while we drink the delicious sangria served there. It is especially fun to share the experience with close friends because the atmosphere feels so much like home. This is a must visit stop for a terrific dinner.
Wonderful food. This was our second trip there. We went last time we were in the area. Love the paella.
Amazing food and service! Fisherman’s stew for two is great! Lots of delicious tapas plates to select from!
We had the scallops and the sea bass fish special and both were very good. I wish I had tried the Paella but will have to next time.
This was the second time dining here and it was just as fabulous as the first. We will certainly eat here every time we get to the area. Hubby had the muscles and beans and I had the shrimp in coconut sauce and shrimp in garlic and butter. Both mine were excellent and hubby thoroughly enjoyed his choices, and mine!
My wife and I go whenever we are in Fernandina Beach the food the service the entire experience is amazing thank y’all so much for the incredible job y’all do jt
Great food and atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be back.
Food was good, service needs improvement.
Hostess needs to be more accommodating to requests.
We had just visited Amada tapas restaurant In Ocean resort AC a few days earlier and España was a big disappointment. Whoever gives this restaurant more than 2 and a half stars, obviously didn’t know what a good tapas restaurant is.
Excellent food, excellent service.. we sat outside so noise level was low and conversation was easy. Our waiter was welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable about the preparation of the dishes we chose. Thank you for a enjoyable and memorable meal.
Food is amazing. Could have a few more servers...they got kinda busy but the food is worth the wait. Took us a while to get drinks and adult beverages...ordered before small bites came and received adult beverages after main course came out...I thought they had forgotten we ordered them at first. Overall great food...a must for anyone coming to the island,
Food and service were great but noise level was obnoxious with 2 parties of 6 or 8 competing for loud speaking award
Excellent food and service. Great menu selections. One of our favorite places on the island.
Espana Restaurant was a hidden gem! Definitely make reservations! If Open Table is full, call them; there is outside seating and inside tables not published on Open Table. Food was delicious; we had the seafood paella for three! Definitely enough for us! One person in our family had the chicken with lemon and garlic and nothing was left! It is a little pricey, but it is in a resort area so I guess they can charge whatever they want! Lighting is low, almost too low. The way the seating is set up, you can hear the other tables conversations. Yes we would definitely go again!
This place truly was a good place to eat. With excellent service and AMAZING food!
Excellent food and service. Will recommend this restaurant to any of our friends visiting Fernandina Beach.
It was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had a larger party of 6 .
Jonathan and Justin are the best, total professionals! We ALWAYS have a great experience at Espana.
Some of the best food I've ever had I enjoyed myself thoroughly thanks to the staff just had a great all-around time
Absolutely yummy Skirt steak with madera wine. First time my Cuban born mom has dinner and loved everything from the chorizo tapa to the flan. Recommend!!
The seared scallop and the fishermen’s stew were amazing! We really enjoyed our experience! We will be back.
Food and service were excellent as usual. The noise level, however, is unacceptable. The ceiling is very low so that adds to the problem, but when one can hear every word spoken at tables around you, it is a problem. It will not stop us from eating there because the food is excellent, but it is a problem.
We had great tapas to enjoy amongst all of those at our table. The food was delicious. Our waiter was exceptional. Can’t wait to go back.
