Escena Lounge & Grill Ratings and Reviews
Great view which did not disappoint as we ate outdoors. Quick service and good value for portion size. I had the half tuna sandwich which was over loaded with tuna. It kept falling out of the sand wich but was very tasty.
View of the mountains are beautiful and we have eaten here a number of times.
Service was EXCELLENT. We were never left feeling neglected. Food was good temperature and nice presentation. Portions were just right. Limited selection, but what is offered is good. We had the short ribs and the scallops entrees. A little pricey (prime rib was $30 plus $5 for sides) but everything else made up for the cost. The acoustics were GREAT! The room was full, yet we could still hear each other talk without having to shout. The fireplace gave a nice ambiance, and view was peaceful. Nice reflection pool! The chairs were very comfortable and table height was just right. Thanks.
Have been to Escena about five times now and have never been disappointed. When things are crazy in downtown Palm Springs or in Palm Desert, there is no place better than Escena. And even if/when things are NOT crazy there, we still go to Escena. I always bring newbies to PS to Escena because it is a hidden jewel. Keep up the good work. Just had their ribs on Friday and was so pleased, I will have them again...............
We've eaten lunch and dinner this year, both very good with fresh ingredients and well -served and prepared. We've rekindled our enjoyment of Escena and its spectacular view of Mt. San Jacinto after several less than satisfactory meals several years ago. It's back to the place we greatly enjoy, and happily.
Escena Lounge & Grill was recommended to me as a wonderful place
to take my family for Thanksgiving. I was not disappointed at all and
I am sure we will return next year for our Thanksgiving meal! The
beautiful view, the service and the delicious buffet was truly awesome!
Traditional Thanksgiving buffet. Lots of good choices to go alone with the turkey and roast beef. Great atmosphere for a fresco dining close to home. The holiday buffet was priced on target. I was surprised more people were not in attendance, given that two year's ago, it was sold out.
Thanksgiving- were not open at reservation time. After opening the dinner was not prepared- no place settings- butter on table was frozen. The choices were limited and poor quality. The staff were not concerned and indicated they could not do anything about the situation. I live at Escena and now am unable to use this as an entertaining choice.
Since I've discovered this restaurant, everyone I've taken to Escena has thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are always friendly and their service well-timed, never obtrusive but attentive. When the weather and sunlight permits, the mountain vista views are wonderful and the plentiful outdoor seating is great. Not the most extensive of menus, there are always items sure to please. A neighborhood favorite that I know I'll repeat in the future.
I’ve visited Escena many times before but this was the first time I’ve visited them in the evening. The location is very convenient to home and the surrounding areas. Beautiful room with great servers and a view of the golf course. Watch for the road runners that are plentiful.
I enjoyed the dinner and the drinks. I appreciated the waiters recommendations for wine and explaining portion sizes. My mother in law really loves Escena and I highly recommend it for breaks, lunch and dinner.
You guys didn’t give me the point on open table even I had reservations for over 30 people. Hope that can be fix You guys didn’t give me the point on open table even I had reservations for over 30 people. Hope that can be fix .
Other then that everything ok except for over cooked dry hamburger .
I made a reservation for a birthday dinner for 7 guests on Open Table several weeks ago for Tuesday, October 24th. I received a confirmation from Open Table. Later I had to revise the number of of the guests to 8 and received another confirmation. The day before the dinner I was sent a reminder. The night of the dinner we arrived at the restaurant and the place was closed. When I called Escena there was a message stating that they will not be open for dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays until October 28th. We had to scramble to find an alternative.
So, my question is how was it possible to make a dinner reservation at a restaurant that wouldn't be open? Needless to say, I was not pleased. Additionally, why didn't the restaurant check its Open Table reservations, note the problem and get in touch with me? They certainly had time. Very shoddy.
It’s a great place for lunch with the spectacular views and the food is good. But don’t make a reservation for later than 7:30 because they’ll tell you it eight or 815 that the kitchen is closing in five minutes and then at 9 o’clock they tell you that they’re locking up the facility and it’s time to go. So it was hard to sit and enjoy a couple of drinks before dinner and then having to rush to get out before we were locked in for the night
