Ernest Orleans was like having dinner in the French quarters in New Orleans.
Amazing food and environment. Such a romantic and memorable dinner. We will definitely be returning.
It was fantastic. Really created s special memory for my wife and I.
Wet food food nice surroundings. The music was a little too loud. Otherwise everything was great.
2nd time to enjoy Ernest's New Orleans Restaurant and it has been great both times. The wait staff is wonderful the food is as well. We love the piano man singing in the lounge. Will be going again.
This restaurant used to be so very good but man, has it gone down hill!!!! It is WAY overpriced!!! $40 for a 6oz filet of red Snapper with a little bit of crab on top????!!!!! $14 for one ice cream scoop of bread pudding????!!!!! Food was so disappointing. Like I said Ernest’s used to be soooooo good but not anymore, don’t waste your time and money!
Awesome food, service, and live entertainment! Great time dining experience!
I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to come back! We had a great dining experience. We were greeted and seated by the man himself. Was treated by his complimentary cheese bread with some magical marinara sauce. The ribeye and filet were even more impressive. Can’t wait for next trip to Shreveport/Bossier City, won’t leave until eating here again!
The food and the environment was amazing! I took my boyfriend for his birthday and he loved the food so much, and he is super picky when it comes to food. Highly recommend for a date night!
The word amazing doesn’t do it justice. Not stuffy but yet high end. Great service, attention to details. Bread is awesome! Had the snapper in a bag with lump crab meat and shrimp in a champagne reduction...must have!!! We felt it was worth every penny! And our server Shawn was down to earth, charismatic, and very informative. We will be back!
Always enjoy dining at Ernest. the mood was great for a special occasion with old friends. As usual, the food and service was excellent.
The food was awesome the chef was amazing with the dishes he prepared. Everyone in our party was very pleased and satisfied!
Great service and food that never disappoint!!
Spaghetti sauce was a little to sweet. Everything else was exvellent.
The service is impeccable....everyone politr, professional! And the food is incredible!
best seafood in shreveport. prices are a little high but most places you do not get what you pay for but here you do. nice music while you eat james lawless
The food was good and the wait staff was attentive and accommodating..
We enjoyed our evening at Ernest’s!
I’ve been eating crab claws at Ernest’s for almost 50 years. (Not a typo 😉) Delicious food. We drive all of the way from Dallas to enjoy dinner here. I love bringing new people with me and introducing them to this institution, don’t let the exterior fool you. Enjoy!
Great. Every time we’re in town we come to this favorite. Been going to this restaurant for over 49 years from when his dad owned it to now the son running it.
I am so glad we chose Ernest’s to celebrate my graduation. The food and service were excellent and they did such a wonderful job helping us celebrate!
All of the staff were very polite. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves. The only thing I can recommend is that our drinks come out a little faster.
Food was very good and service acceptable. I order a scotch that had some dark specks that resemble coffee grinds in the bottom, however they replaced my drink. The house appetizer which was suggested (60 year old recipe) was really good, not great. I ordered the Red Snapper Ernest, was really good. Overall, I would definitely go back. Server was really nice and accommodating too.
An old-school French/Creole restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere.
We were treated warmly from the very first, with personal attention first from the maitre d' and then Ernest made an appearance at our table to address our dietary restrictions. Our food was very good, starting with fresh bread and the house special marinated crab claws. Main courses and sides were very good, but to our tastes a bit heavy with butter. Service was attentive and overall excellent. We enjoyed our stay as did the large party and diners at other tables. Recommended for the experience.
I thought we were pressured by the wait staff to order more food than we really needed or wanted.
Outstanding experience all around. Always a great time. Best food and service we have ever had. Highly recommend
Excellent food, superb service. A must-do for anyone who hasn’t experienced Ernest’s.
Excellent, caring and personal service. Food is great including of menu items. spent 2 hours and 20 minutes dining.
Awesome food and awesome service. Food was a little high priced, but worth it. Cool piano player as well.
We had a wonderful time. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. It's always a good time when we visit.
Amazing. Everything was Top Notch. Thank you for bringing this experience to the Shreveport/Bossier area. 💖
Don't be afraid of the exterior of the building. Inside sits a true gem, like a geode; Ernest's Orleans has a beautiful interior with excellent service and food. Amazing gumbo, and pasta dishes, I didn't have any of the steak but I assume it is just as delicious.
Absolutely terrible experience. The food was literally inedible. We started with the crab claws which came prepared cold, unexpected but was not the bad part, they tasted off and the basil pesto served over them was beyond overpowering for the few claws served. For entrees, we had the spaghetti and NY strip. The spaghetti sauce was sweet to the point it tasted as if they had mixed in grape jelly and/or dumped a bag of sugar in to it - Prego from a jar would have been a better alternative. The steak was ordered medium rare and was tougher than my leather shoe - I bent the fork demonstrating to the server and manager how poorly it was cooked. We ordered a bottle of Stag’s Leap cabaret ($120) which the only enjoyable part of the meal. We had just been at Superior Steakhouse for a cocktail prior to dinner at Ernest’s and honestly should have never left. There is absolutely no reason to go here unless the expectation is overpaying for disappointment as this restaurants days are surely numbered.
This place never disappoints. Highly recommend. Love the bar side best.
Great old style service. Super friendly waiters.
We had a great time! Wonderful food! Great service!
Wonderful food and service. Dont miss a chance to eat there!
The food and service was awesome! The only issue we had is the parking lot. Parking is terrible!!!!!! There was a gigantic mud hole in the dirt lot and I we got stuck bad. Several employees had to help my friend and I get my car out.
Only downside is the parking.
