Came to Ernest's for an anniversary dinner. Wonderful food and fantastic presentation. It was really nice to know you are supporting some young, up and coming chefs. I would highly recommend this to everyone who is looking for a fine dining experience with a comfortable, casual feel.

The staff was very friendly, and attentive. The dishes were attractive and very tastey. Parking was free and very close. I had wanted to dine at Ernests for many years and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Loved the food, but have to say, our server Jo was the very best part of our evening. She was exceptional, attentive and a pleasure to share our evening with.

We recently attended the Friday Student Showcase buffet. It was reasonably priced and the food and service was exceptional. Book early to avoid being disappointed. We will definitely be back. They have gift certificates available - I plan to pick some up for birthdays in the Fall.

Lovely professional people working hard. Croissants were the best we've tried since Christian Maison Fauvre in Montreal. Beef roasted to perfection. Some peculiar appetizers, but I think that is more of a preference issue. Staff were exceptionally friendly.

We had the meatball appetizer, beef ribs and chocolate lava cake. Very nice presentation. The beef ribs were tender and tasty but had too much gravy. Otherwise it was a great lunch and would definitely go again.

This is an amazing lunch buffet. I like supporting the leaning experience for hospitality and culinary students. The food and service are excellent! Would recommend it to anyone.

Ernest at NAIT was a nice surprise! I had a better experience than at some well-established restaurants around town. The food cooked by the student chefs at NAIT tasted really good and I plan on visiting them again

My husband & I had a deeeeelicious meal with wonderful service on March 20 at Ernest's at NAIT. It was gourmet all the way - beginning with the "amuse bouche" that came along with a variety of artisanal breads and bread sticks baked on-site, plus three kinds of butter (regular, garlic, and either cayenne or paprika - I forget which); a salad of heirloom tomatoes & burrata with lemon olive oil, basil, micro greens & 12-year-old balsamic vinegar; and blackberry sorbet to cleanse the palate; followed by the entrees. Louis had roasted lamb rack with Moroccan couscous, fonseca port sauce, & beets while I had the "AAA" beef strip loin with roasted fingerling potatoes, beets, and beech mushrooms in mondavi cabernet sauce. For dessert we had our favourite creme brulees and lattes. It was a meal worthy of the finest gourmet restaurant. And much appreciated was the Tuesday- Friday deal whereby for
$45 (with flight of wine - $60) one could have one's choice of any starter, entree, and dessert on the menu. I can see why Ernest's was named one of Canada's top 100 restaurants by Open Table. I would (and have) heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

We were impressed with the presentation, the service and the delicious food. Comparable with high end restaurants without the high end prices.

I love the variety of food choices at the buffet. I normally am not fond of buffets, however the selection, the presentation and most importantly the taste is superb! The creativity of the students is note worthy! Well done!

Everything was top notch. from the amuse-bouche to the coffee that came with dessert and the great service that made everything happen.

We learned about Earnest’s on Global News when some students were interviewed about an upcoming competition. We were in town and needed somewhere to go and thought of Earnest’s.
It was easy to find and surprisingly elegant. We were pleasantly greeted very well treated. The food and service were terrific!
We have and will be highly recommending to anyone we talk to!

Enjoyed my lunch although service was quite slow; took 2 hours.

While the plating of the lamb shank is lovely, it is difficult to cut and eat the meal in a rounded bowl, perhaps another plate option would be better.

Food and service was great! Wish there was more on the plate though - need more food. Had the eat-learn-celebrate and all choices were delish. Would definitely go again.

Ernest's never fails to please. We didn't have wine, but I checked their wine list and it has several choices on it. We were celebrating birthdays, and it was a delicious, leisurely lunch.

The lunch buffet at Ernest's is fantastic. There is so much to choose from, and you will always find something you like. Delicious, and quite creative, the variety never disappoints. It's hard to believe you can enjoy such excellent food for such a reasonable price. Well done, students and instructors!

I loved trying the interesting items, some I loved others were just not my taste, but I enjoyed the experience. The servers were very professional and friendly and knowledgeable.

Overall was a good experience.

For fabulous food and ambience, Ernest's is a model of 5 star dining in Edmonton. I love the variety of food available at the Friday buffet lunches. Loved the variety of salads and the dessert table was outstanding. Will definitely keep coming back.

We well received even though we were very early for our reservation. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. The wine that was suggested to go with our meal was perfect. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we did not feel rushed through our meal as every course was well timed. My husband really enjoyed the Beef Short Ribs, they fell off the bone and the meat was so tender. I had the Pork T-Bone that was served with a very tasty sauce. The Beet Salad was most refreshing. Could have done without the live guitar playing , it's not something we enjoy. Will definitely be back.

Service was excellent and food was tasty as well. The only remark I'd make is the Veal I choose was a bit on the rare side for me. I couldn't eat it myself. I just changed plates with my husband.

Otherwise was a very nice place and friendly.

It is hard to believe the food was prepared by students on their second day in the program. It can challenge other fine restaurants in the city. It was nice to have a live performer on Friday night and to have an atmosphere where you can enjoy having a conversation without shouting.
Would return in a heartbeat.

Valentine's Day is a nice time to spend quiet moments with the person you've been married to for 36 years. Ernest"s was very classy plus the "chef experience" was special .... Would love to eat there more often! The blueberry Margarita was fabulous darling.
