Staff was fantastic. So gracious
A real dining experience of the first order. Terrific atmosphere - small and intimate - experienced, thoughtful staff - delicious meal - nice wine list. A real gem!
Always excellent. A special restaurant in every way.
Great ambiance and delicious pasta.
I cannot say anything bad about Erminia. My girlfriend and I have been there twice, and it has become our little spot! Both times it has been a phenomenal experience all-around. Perfect for special occasions and VERY romantic. I love this restaurant and I hope to be back very soon!
We loved the sense of a family owned service with great food.
This has become my husband and I favorite restaurant. It’s very cozy and romantic. You feel like you’re in another world. Service is always great. The food; OMG, where do I start. We’ve been there a few times and I’ve Never been disappointed. Everything is fabulous, on or off the menu.
Perfect as always. Great food, service, and wine!
Food was great, decor was cozy and service was excellent! I will be back
This was the place that I went on my first date 3 years ago. Friday night was the evening we celebrated my proposal. Ambiance is perfect. It's a Charming place.
If you’re looking for classic, “cozy by the fire” romance with extremely attentive service, this is the place.
Amazing experience; the food and service were great.
It is our special
place. Old school, gracious service and a quiet gem in a sea of NY foodie hype.
The Food, Service, and Overall Experience were fantastic I would highly recommend
Great food and great service. I have been here a few times and have recommended it to a few people and they have all enjoyed the experience. A perfect spot for a special date.
Second visit, love this place! The food is delicious, hearty Italian.
Definitely a 10 in every way!!!!!!!!! A jewel that will assure a very special intimate evening..... service was incredible and welcoming!! Looking forward to returning!!
Another enjoyable dinner at Erminia Ristorante. Service was prompt and courteous. The food was prepared very well. I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant.
In a word, spectacular. Warm, friendly service, great food, great atmosphere, great dinner.
The restaurant was romantic and the perfect setting for a valentines date with my girlfriend. The staff was welcoming and personable, and we felt very valued. The food was delicious - both of our meals (veal and chicken) were great and I would also highly recommend the octopus appetizer and crème brûlée for dessert! Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and the restaurant itself was brilliantly decorated. Loved it, highly recommend!
Always wanted to eat here and about a month ago we did, and it was delightful. We brought our daughter and her friend back about a week ago, and it was a different experience.
The lasagna was overcooked and salty. The clams oreganata were filled with breading and salty. They brought my wife the wrong dish and when they finally brought out her bolognese, it was over salted, nothing like the first time we had it here. Everybody was done with their main course by the time hers arrived. They didn't so much as offer to take the item off the bill for the inconvenience or offer desserts or after dinner drinks for the table.
You would have thought the host was an amateur, though we know he has been here for years.
To top it off they started shutting off the interior lights while we were still exiting the dining room.
Just a warning Erminia has good nights and some very bad nights...
Very solid Italian food in a nice room. Not at the "foodie" level but very enjoyable. Some of the tables are very close together, so it's tough to have a private conversation.
this was one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever been to! We had such a wonderful experience. Best atmosphere I've ever had dining, and incredible food. would love to come back!
We were in town for one night only and decided to check out this tiny Upper East restaurant. Food was quite good, but service was slow and restaurant is super cramped. Only one tiny bathroom which could have been on an airplane.
Predictable and uninteresting. A cliche of what used to be considered Italian food. The salad and burrata were quite good, everything else, from the glass of red wine to the pasta, was not up to par. I don't like to give a bad review, but this was a disappointment.
Food and service are consistently excellent. Staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and able to give good suggestions.
I have been there a number of times and The food and service has always been good. It also has a charming cozy atmosphere that is quite romantic.
Food, service, ambiance, wine, all very good for a small “cosy” neighborhood restaurant.
Have and will return!!
Great friendly staff with great pasta. House tiramisu could be a little better.
I love Erminia, such a romantic oasis! I have a feeling the chef or menu have changed, but it was still good. We don't live in NYC so do not go often, but always enjoy the atmosphere, nice service and food.
The place is tiny but very pretty. You are greeted nicely, but the staff seems in a hurry to remove plates even though the place was only a quarter filled. Also, there was not enough space between the appetizer and the main dish. I felt rushed. My main dish was delicious and a good-sized portion. The appetizer was quite small. I do not seem why they need to charge $52 for their least expensive wine when the same bottle can be bought for around $15. I would go back if their wine prices were more reasonable.
As good as it gets - excellent food; friendly, attentive and unpretentious service.
Ambiance feels cozy and homey - similar to restaurants I’ve dined in in Italy. After one visit, it’s become one of my favorite restaurants in NY. I look forward to going back.
Lovely old world ambience and delicious food
Cozy atmosphere. Perfect for conversation. Food was very good and service also very good.
Erminia has become our favorite place for a date in Manhattan. It's like a little UES secret. Love this joint. If it's not on the menu they just make it anyway.
Love Erminia!! We spent NYE 2018 at Erminia and it was an all-around fantastic experience. The menu was delicious - there were four of us and we had the tuna tartare and scallops to start, then we had the veal ravioli and gnocchi, and for our entrees we had the filet mignon , veal scallopini, and Dover sole - Evertyhing Was Delicious!! Service was super-friendly, attentive and we’ve always loved the cozy, quaint Erminia atmosphere. We went to Erminia for the first in time in 1990 after getting engaged and have been going back for the reliable, consistent and all-around great experience. Thanks Erminia!!
Amazing and a must do experience!
Fabulous food, attentive service, lovely Italian wine. Don’t miss this place!
We went for New Year’s Eve. The food was delicious and service impeccable.
An old fashion quiet place where the food, the people and the atmosphere is superb. This is what a restaurant should be like!
