Erling Jensen The Restaurant
Nice! People at table next to us were noisy. Food was exquisite!
Excellent as always!
Always great service and the food is delicious. A wonderful spot for dinner parties or date night.
I have lived in Memphis for 18 years and I can with all authenticity say this is my favorite restaurant because it has the best food. I went there 2 days ago for my birthday and I am still reeling from the dinning experience. I have dreamed of their chocolate souffle for the past two nights and now I will never be able to eat scallops anywhere else in Memphis. The service is exceptional as the staff is so attentive to detail. Everything about this dinning experience is magnificent and I cannot wait to go back.
This was our third experience at Erling Jensen. The food and service is exceptional every time. It is expensive for Memphis but you cannot find a better place to eat in the mid-south.
A great restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. The food and service was excellent. The staff was very attentive.
The best restaurant. Hands down. The food was good. The atmosphere was great. And good service.
It was our first visit after hearing about the restaurant over the years
It was a wonderful experience and the food was fantastic- this will not be our last visit
We've visited Erling Jensen many times and we've never been disappointed. The Friday Wine dinner is quite a delicious and enjoyable experience. Chef always prepares something new and creative and perfectly pairs each course with a delicious wine. If the Opera Cake is on the menu...run don't walk. You better get before I do. :-)
Awesome service and experience!
A group of six went to celebrate a birthday. The food was amazing, both in taste and presentation. The service was excellent—timely, attentive and engaging. We had a wonderful time!
Fantastic every time. Not pictured the Patoto soup was amazing.
Great all around
Erling Jensen has long been, and remains, one of the best restaurants in Memphis. The quality of food, presentation and service are exceptional. EJ and the staff are true professionals who make every experience special. By far my favorite Memphis restaurant.
Took advantage of their Sunday fixed menu specials - $40.00 per person for 3 course meal, plus great little tidbits that the chef send out for the customers.
Erling Jensen's is always fantastic! The food is perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The Sunday 3-course menu is a wonderful way to spent a lovely evening. Perfect.
Fabulous in every way!
Sunday evening menu is a great value with delightful appetizers, entrees and desserts!
The best restaurant in Memphis, TN! It's unique, and everything is presented so beautifully! Almost like eating art.
Always amazed at the food and the pairing of wine and food. Recommend the Friday night wine tasting. You’ll never be disappointed
I celebrated a 40th birthday here at Erling Jensen, we had great service, fabulous food and an awesome atmosphere! The Antelope was incredible. As a foodie and sommelier, I was impressed with this 5 star dining!
Had a wonderful meal at Erling Jensen. Both the food and service was excellent. Portions were large and very well prepared.
This place is simply amazing, Memphis best kept secret.
Have been there twice, both for an anniversary dinner. Not a single negative thing to say about our experience there. Just the opposite! Both times, Erling Jensen himself has come out from the kitchen to check on our well-being, once at the beginning of our meal, and again toward the end. Guests are certainly made to feel welcomed there. Extraordinary food and service to match. Expensive, of course, but full value for the money. On my recent visit, I had a special entree, filet of antelope, which was excellent, as well as their souffle for dessert. For a romantic meal or for special occasions, you will be hard-pressed to find a better place in the Memphis area.
Always a great meal here. The Dover sole was absolutely the best I have ever had, complete with chunks of crab meet which was a wonderful compliment. The filet was huge, tender and flavorful. We enjoyed a light white burgundy with our meal and topped it off with a raspberry souflle and lemon sorbet.
This is fine dining, thank you for being in Memphis! Delightful staff, elegant but in no way stuffy. Perfect for enjoying a beautiful evening meal on a special occasion - no one was on their cell phones everyone was engaged in Erling Jensen’s superlative flavors!
Looking forward to our next celebratory opportunity to return. Excellent wine selections and recommendations from Ken.
It was great!! Will return whenever we can. Thanks for the great service.
Food was a little bland, but still tasty. Very good service!
Excellent as always
Very accommodating to our dietary needs
This place is suitable for any and all occasions
Consistently good food and excellent service
My wife and I went there for our anniversary and it was amazing. It’s a small location but the food and service were incredible. Chef Erling came by the table several times and the waitress was super attentive.
Lovely restaurant where the chef comes to greet you. Wide variety of dishes from fish to steak to lamb to antelope as a special. Loved the spinach salad with the almond pecan brittle. Halibut was nice but a trifle overdone. The chocolate soufflé was to die for. The only negative was a big party of physicians being wined and dined by some kind of pharmacy or equipment rep - they were quite loud and everyone from the waiter to the chef apologized. It was not their fault. Otherwise it makes a lovely comfortable spot for conversation over a good meal.
Every bite was beyond delicious, from the crawfish bisque, to entrees of elk chops and black angus filet, and finally finishing with the chocolate souffle.
Service was ok. Knowledgeable but not friendly. Overpriced and food was cold. Dessert was the best part unfortunately.
Everything at Erling’s is the best! Perfect place for special occasion or romantic dinner.
Stellar service, flawless food, wonderful ambiance. What's not to love?
Erling Jensen is our go-to restaurant for special occasions and for impressing out-of-towners.
Good but not great! The mushroom soup with crispy leeks was a little disappointing; it reminded me of Gerber's baby food. I had halibut for my next course, and it was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. For dessert, I had the blueberry bread pudding with cinnamon gelato, and it was again, mediocre at best. The bread pudding was dry, but the gelato was delightful.
My wife and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary at Erling Jensen last weekend. We had never been but will be back to celebrate future special occasions. The service, food and atmosphere were all excellent. We can't wait to go back.
Absolutely exquisite! One of the finest dining experiences in Memphis.
