I was very upset by the way the Erie Grill Coordinator conducted herself in front of our party. We had reservations for 4, but we ended up having 1 more come with us for our Sunday Brunch. The coordinator/hostess was very rude, and made us feel as though we were completely inconveniencing them because we "threw off their numbers". They were talking very loudly in front of our group which made us very uncomfortable. We were willing to wait, and we even offered just to pull up a chair to the booth of 4 that was provided, or even have 3 on one said of the booth (we're all good friends so we didn't mind being close). These suggestions were immediately shot down, and we ended up sitting at the bar to try and make things easier for them. When we offered to sit at the bar we again got more attitude. Besides the coordinator, the food was great and our amazing server made up for the rudeness of the beginning of our time at Erie Grill. I will not be dining again at Erie Grill.
My wife and I went here for breakfast and were asked to leave at 11 am because of easter brunch. We saw very few people waiting at 11 am and NO one waiting for our table. As a lifetime Marriott gold member I have NEVER experienced this at ANY Marriott property. Needless to say we left at 11 am - we were not happy! Expected better from the Marriott!!!!
Service was super slow almost late for our massages
Arrived after an 8 hour drive from Boston
Erie Grill has great food, the decor was sleek modern, great scenic views overall this place is fabulous 😀
Great setting
My favorite place for brunch! The food was delicious.
Awesome food and unbelievable service
Always a lovely dining experience for special occasions or before the theater
Food and service was very good. Could use a better beer list as they did not have a craft beer selection. Only issue was the way the restaurant was set up. A lot of seats are near the bar area which is loud with people laughing and drinking and not all are there for dinner. I recommend sitting far away from bar for less noise
Great night out
Excellent dinner experience as a part of the Hotel package we booked! Food was well presented, hot, and brought out in a timely manner. Service was outstanding, and the ambiance was welcoming and warm.
Second Valentines dinner and it will be our last. Like the previous year service starts out with drinks and salads arriving within reason but then waiting 40 minutes for a $42 Fatty Delmonico steak and an over cooked Halibut. The staff is very attentive but the last few times we’ve been there the food is sub power... too bad because it’s close and has a nice bar!
Had a fantastic delicious meal. We weren't rushed, which we greatly appreciated. I will be bringing others back for dinner.
My husband and I each ordered the Asparagus Omelette with goat cheese. Each of our omelettes had the equivalent of half a sphere of asparagus and a dollop of goat cheese. At $14 apiece we thought it was a bit of a ripoff. The Bloody Mary's were very good.
At Brunch today, our wait staff person, M Katey, was very cordial and knowledgeable about all the food options, especially the filet medallions on Eggs Benedict, which were fantastic. She is a top notch server. Makes us want to come back soon.
Food was wonderful and the server didn’t try to rush us even though we were the last people left in the dinning area. We will definitely be back.
Appetizers were cold & when we told the waiter, he was not at all concerned. Fish was very rubbery & tasted bad.
Incredible food. Great servers!
I took my girlfriend there for a romatic dinner and then to proposed to her after. The food, setting was perfect and experience . we loved every thing about Erie Grill .
Erie Grill is upscale and on the more expensive side for Rochester. Duck breast, short rib were about $32 each. Servings sizes are what they should be but that is probably smaller than what the average person expects. I had two strips of duck breast rather than a whole breast. All the food was excellent and the Tuesday half price on wine was a real deal.
Decor was smart and modern. Girlfriend's margarita was delicious and served with stylish black salt that reminded us of black sand beaches in Hawaii. Grilled octopus was among the best I've ever eaten. We'll be coming back for another date or special occasion.
The best thing about this place was the cocktails, the one thing I would recommend is that the desert cocktails be listed on the main cocktail offerings menu, bc I would’ve preferred to try some of those to the ones on the cocktail menu, or at least be informed of them as an option :) service was great, food was good but not superb, kind of bland honestly. Beet salad was one of the best I’ve had :)
As usual, innovative menu and perfect presentation. Service from Nicole was very good.
Had left note during reservation request it was also spouse’s birthday granted it fell on thanksgiving this year but no wishes or special offers from the waitstaff. Thanksgiving food was okay. Would also recommend not seating folks near butler pantry because watching waitstaff texting on phones or sipping drinks was distracting. I hear it’s good for seafood so maybe will eat at bar and order fish next time
Had Thanksgiving dinner with my boyfriend and thought it was very good. In addition to traditional turkey dinner had their regular dinner, which was great for a little variety. I was surprised by the price of the turkey meal - not sure how one makes turkey, potatoes, stuffing, and veggies worth $40, but it was worth it not to have to cook! If it was a prix fixe menu it would have made more senses at that price (soup and dessert were extra). I thought my beef rib was excellent, but again pricy at $32.
Very nice. The Duck meatballs were excellent... My dad enjoyed the scallops very much
We all had a wonderful time overall however, I would have liked our server to be more attentive and the draft from the outdoor entrance was CONSTANT; under our table was about 20 degrees colder and more importantly, it cooled the food on our table very quickly.
Absolutely wonderful service by our server Brooke A. She was the best at attentiveness and knowledge of the drinks and food options. Her timing and availability was perfect. Can’t say enough good things about Brooke. Food was spectacular as usual. We’ll be back soon!
We chose the Erie Grill to celebrate our 37th anniversary and we were very happy we did. The decor is pleasing and the tables are just far enough apart. The food was excellent, especially the duck meatballs and the short ribs. Would highly recommend this very special restaurant!
We enjoyed our food. Service was nice but not especially attentive. All else was special.
My son and daughter-in-law were in town for business. They were staying at the hotel so it made sense to try the Erie Grill. Our original reservation was for 8:30, but when they arrived early we called the restaurant to see if we could come in earlier. They were able to get us in right away.
We enjoyed the salads and appetizers. The entree was okay, but didn't dazzle us. Service was good. I expect we will go back again and I have recommended it to others.
First time there. Food was excellent; service was good; wine list good (and it was 1/2 price wine night). I recommend this place. I’m glad I found it on OT.
Was a wonderful surprise! Atmosphere and service was excellent!
The dinner was great. Our table was very close to another couple so I didn't enjoy hearing their conversation.
Food was amazing! Great atmosphere and service was perfect!!!!
Very good food. Service is friendly but not as sophisticated as I would expect considering the price and quality of the food. Don't be in a hurry unless you order a salad or a soup.
Went for a late night bite. Food was delicious and our server was outstanding! We will be back. My son has had brunch there and raved about it.
We loved the food, but the noise level makes it impossible to carry on a conversation.
We were celebrating 2 birthdays, which they acknowledged when they called to confirm the reservation, but absolutely nothing was done when we dined.
It s a shame that they can’t do anything about the noise level. As much as we liked the food, I doubt if we would return.
Delmonite Inn is supposed to be one of the best hotels in Rochester area. I wish it had a restaurant commensurate of it. We’ve been there before, and now they have new
Chairs and New is not good. The chairs are low to the ground and not very wide.
We sit down and notice the coffee cups are permanently stained. The service was not personable at all, although they did split our beet salad for us. The food was fine but nothing really remarkable. Even if the food was good we won’t go back because of the furniture. The server seemed in a rush to get rid of us so we ordered dessert after she brought our check just because
