We’ve always enjoyed the food and service at Eques. This is our first time being back after COVID. We were so excited, and they also brought back the buffet even though it wasn’t shown on the menu.
Sadly, the buffet is not the same as before, both in terms of selection and quality. It was very limited and basic, and the food was not tasty at all! Even a breakfast at IHOP would tasted better. It was also unsanitary, though that’s not entirely the restaurant’s fault. People didn’t put the serving utensils back to where they belong. There’s a holder for the serving utensils at each station, yet people just put the them on the counter. The restaurant can definitely monitor more closely, and to keep everyone safe.
None of us enjoyed the food. The service was still great though. We’ll probably give it another try, but not in the near future. Hopefully the food will be much improved and back to pre-covid level.
Excellent service and value for Sunday brunch for the whole family.
Love it. There is no room service for the hotel right now booked her both days of our stay. Loved it. But book a reservation it will save you time.
The food and service was excellent
Used to love this place before covid, would rate it 4.8/5. However, when I visit Eques this time, I would only give it a 3.5/5. I was really sad that the buffet bar wasn’t fully opened, but I understand covid made everything so hard. For my last experience, I didn’t enjoy omelette and stumbled egg as much as I used to be, especially omelette was my favorite thing here. I didn’t really like how the eggs was cooked. The omelette was way too thick, one layer of it was about one finger thick and not very fluffy. The scrambled egg was a bit too liquid for me, which made the texture and taste not as good. I think those are the thing that can be improved on, but other than that everything was great. I’ll still be a loyal customer once the full buffet opens.
Our server was great. That said, the hostess was rude (and most likely severely overwhelmed as the place was understaffed). We waited for 15 minutes when she came up to the crowd waiting to tell us the restaurant was closed. We explained we had 10am reservations so they sat us. Food was terrible!! The tiramisu pancakes were a nice treat but not worth the price or terrible ambiance. The salmon Benedict was disgusting. Could barely eat it was so fishy and soggy. The salad that it came with looked like something I could throw together at home in 2 minutes.
Great food at a high end plaza. Decent price considering the location, and free parking in the garage. Duck duck waffle is great, crab benedict is also very good.
Service is a little bit off, the waitress seems like a rookie and service is kinda slow. But I would definitely visit again for the great food.
Great place we will definitely go again for breakfast!
A little loud because of music and guests talking but great food and service
This was my second time at Eques this month! I ordered the eggs Benedict on avocado both times and enjoyed it very much. The orange juice, mimosas and coffee are excellent. Everyone in my parties also enjoyed their meals (plank salmon Benedict, BLAT, omelets, pancakes) and they are gluten-free friendly!
Delicious food with great service. Tables are distanced hence able to retain privacy.
I have mixed feelings about Eques. It took some time before a waiter was able to get to us. However, she was very sweet and provided us orange juice on the house to make up for how long we waited to be attended to. I ordered the Duck, Duck Waffle and personally I found it to be too salty, the texture of the meat to be a bit dry, and I wished the meat came off the bone easier. Having said that, the presentation of the dish was beautiful and creme sauce was quite nice and paired well with the candied nuts that were on the waffle. Nonetheless, for the value, I expected better. Overall, I enjoyed the novelty of going to Eques for a brunch, but I probably would not go again.
Scrumptious way to start the day! Very pleasant atmosphere and delectable food!
We love this restaurant It's quiet the food is always been top notch. Service was a little slow but I believe it was just our singular server not staff in general. Slow service was the 1st experience at this restaurant for us we have eaten here many times. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast to anyone but advise reservations are important.
The crab cakes were delicious!! And the service awesome. Nice environment 🙏🏼
It's a little pricey, but the food is consistently good.
Waited for an hour and a half for food. Apparently they ran out of eggs and get this, 90% of the menu items required them. Even after the eggs came in our table was passed multiple times while other guests who had arrived after us got their food. Our waiter apologized so much that we felt for her...they even waived the check. But guess what, the manager never showed up at our table, even after directly asking for him.
Used to be great for mother's day brunch but this was the last one for us. Good day...I SAID GOOD DAY!
Great experience with wonderful food and service throughout our brunch meal.
Average experience during Covid-19. Not bad but not great. Typical run of the mill experience.
This was our first time to Eques. From the service to the food, everything was superb. The waffles n duck were excellent. We’ll be back.
What an absolute joy to dine here. We did a brunch birthday celebration and everything about this restaurant makes it special!
The food was outstanding and creative! The service from everyone is excellent! Whenever we return to Bellevue, I am going to look forward coming back to Eques!
Delicious breakfast with great service and central downtown location. One of our favorite places to eat when we visit Bellevue.
Second time attending brunch.
Food was not good. $21 Crab Benedict flavors did not go together. $15 “tall stack” of pancakes were very small in size. Understandably service was disjointed from the re-opening.
On a side note the valet was not worth $14. I realize the restaurant doesn’t control this, but the attendant should be opening the door for the passenger rather then going straight to the driver. Needless to say he received a less then generous tip because of it.
No plans to return based on this experience.
Waitress was inattentive and had to be called several times for problems with dirty glasses, refilling tea/coffee, etc.
Best breakfast in town. Tried the salmon Benedict and golden waffles
Love the food here!
Breakfast at a hotel.
No buffet due to Covid, but the breakfast entrees were very good. This is always an above average hotel restaurant
This is such a lovely brunch. Highly recommend. Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Thank you!
Hi LisaM, You are very welcome. Thank you for stopping by to brunch at Eques.
the food and experience was wonderful. i would definitely come back or recommend.
Hi Tomm, We hope to see you again! Thank you for reviewing our breakfast restaurant.
That was our brunch.
If it can offer more food for vegetarian that would be great!
Thank you for your feedback. We are creating some more options for our Spring/Summer menu. (out later this month).
Had post Valentine’s Day brunch and it was amazing. Will be coming back for more.
Thanks for stopping by for brunch!
Great value for the buffet. I didn’t get the Bloody Mary but holy moly it looked amazing, with all the fixings!
Fabulous food. Nice variety of options. Great for friends and families. Easy to park.
Food is good; service uneven. Forgot things we asked for. Slow serving of alacarte so meals arrived 10 minutes apart for table of 4.
The restaurant was moderately crowded and not loud which was perfect to carry on a conversation with a friend. I thought the prices were high for breakfast and the portion modest. The same breakfast everywhere else in the area would be from $10 to $12 max and this was $17 (scrambled eggs, a handful of little potatoes, 2 pieces of bacon and an english muffin). Service was very attentive but they do close at 11:00 so we had to leave.
Meeting an old friend.
Will definitely come back again. Food is amazing, lots of salmon in the seafood chowder and varieties of fresh berry choices. The server is amazing, fast and efficient.
