We were told when we checked in that we would not be allowed to order off the menu because we had 6 guests, even though two were young kids. The buffet had such limited options for what my kids would eat, and they would not let us order anything even though it was not even busy at the restaurant. Really disappointed because the menu looked good and that was why we had wanted to eat there. That was not communicated to us upfront when we made the reservation or we would have just sat at two tables. Once we sat down at the table, no one explained anything to us or took drink orders so we just stood around a bit and then went and started getting food at the buffet. Tried to order an omelette and was told they had to be placed through a server who we couldn't find for a while. Very disappointed by the experience.

The staff work so hard and they remember your preferences!!! Have no idea how they do that!!!! Thank you Ruth (amazing server) and Jagger (great host). Love the cool Ryan - thank you for chicken sausages and beef bolognese pasta. Yum 😋

We've been fortunate to have the same server, Ruth, on four visits this week. Even from day two, she recalled our previous drink order and asked if we wanted that again. The food is really good, noise level quiet, and the service has been excellent. Our only issue is one order (out of 16) the eggs were poached hard for a crab benedict. On a previous occasion it was perfect.

I usually get the buffet and it's good. This time my friends and I went with the waitresses suggestion of crab Benedict. It was awful...we were all disappointed. I was embarrassed because I was raving about the food and this was their first time coming there. I definitely don't recommend the crab Benedict...go for the buffet.

I really enjoyed the breakfast. The options were good without being over the top. Good place to meet a friend or do business, which most tables seemed to be doing. When I walked in, i asked a worker (maybe barista) at a small coffee place right inside the door to the lobby where Eques was and how to get there. She told me to go up the stairs to the front desk of the hotel and ask them. Specifically, she told me to go up the stairs and ask. Since I have limited mobility and was clearly carrying a cane, I was a bit surprised. In addition, the lift to go to the second floor was about 5 meters away, and much easier to get to. I was surprised and talked to the people in Eques and they explained and apologized. The little coffee shop (almost a coffee bar) does not belong to the hotel, it is just an outside business' and not a part of the hotel. Teh comped my coffee in Eques and the manager of Eques came to my table and apologized in person. Very impressed. I would like to point out to the management that the small coffee bar in the lobby is IN THEIR LOBBY and of course reflects them. I would suggest that they have a talk with the person renting the spot and running the coffee bar and come to a better understanding of how to treat customers. It is hard to imagine that telling a person who is dealing with a handicap, carrying a cane, to go climb stairs instead of telling where the lift was is a good policy. In a good hotel, an answer is better than being told to ask someone else.

Great breakfast. I had the egg whites and smoked salmon. The coffee, juice and mixed berries are great. Angel also provides the most consistent and wonderful service! Eques is a great spot for breakfast.

Went here for the breakfast buffet and was really disappointed: 1) The receptionist greeted us and went to check if our table was ready but decided to spend 5 minutes chatting with another patron while we were waiting on her... 2) After we were seated, our waitress was nowhere to be found for 15min. She did apologize when she came back, but then she completely forgot the only item I asked for. 3) Buffet items were very limited and poorly cooked. The sausage was too rubbery, the bacon was too dry, and the scrambled eggs were too soggy... I only went for one round and got disinterested pretty quickly.

Well generally this is one of our favorite places for breakfast it simply did not live up to the norm. The service from our server was excellent we had no issues with that in fact it's some of the best we've ever had our issue came with the food which was highly unusual. Our server came to tell us the delay in our receiving food was based on the fact that they were under staffed the restaurant was full and we believe resulted in the less quality of food than the norm. My companion has the eggs Benedict which is generally very yummy but the English muffin was so tough she needed a serrated knife to cut it and the holindase which is usually some of the best was less than that usually it is a pale yellow very fluffy creamy this was a brighter yellow and kind of gooey not what we're used to. For the 1st time I tried the corn beef hash and it overall was good though my eggs were overcooked I asked for them over easy so they would be running they were probably 25% overcooked and I was supposed to have some microgreens with it which didn't appear on the plate. We will try them again because we have in the past had good food and good service but this particular visit was very disappointing. The food this time did not live up to the price so we did not feel there was the value as they usually is.

We were a table of six for brunch. We were seated, then didn't hear from anybody in the first 10 minutes on getting menus or beverages, etc. We finally asked the hostess who said that because we were a table of six, we had to do the buffet (which was just fine) however nobody told us. Our server was terrible. We couldn't hear him, we finally got coffee, but never asked about cream. Once we asked for cream, and ketchup, it took easily 10+ min to get it. Two of us put in an omelet order, but no one was manning the table. The hostess said to place our order anyway and we didn't get our omelets until 25 minutes after we left our order. Then when we were clearly done eating, we didn't see our server for a long time. We finally had to hunt him down for our check. The food and space was great, but the overall experience was terrible.

It is a breakfast only place and we went there for the Sunday Brunch. My wife had the crab cakes and I went for the buffet. My wife raved about the crab cakes commenting that they were prepared differently than she usually gets, but liked the differences. The buffet was typical of brunch buffets. Can't say anything stuck out though they did have a nice omlet bar. Prices are a little high, but that's downtown Bellevue for you.

We met up with friends for Sunday brunch. We all signed up a buffet, $35 per person. Interestingly, there are not a lot places in Belleuveu & Kirkland for a nice Sunday buffet. The service was good, food was decent (not as great for pastries), good value and nice ambiance.

We've dined here for brunch before and it's always been great. But this past visit was not good; it took over 10 minutes for a server to even greet us when we sat down. We had to request just one coffee refill that didn't arrive until the very end of the meal and only after a reminder. Seems they were understaffed and over-full. The food was just okay (with the exception of the made-to-order omelets which were great!), and there was kind of a funny aroma in the restaurant. Smelled maybe medicinal as opposed to yummy brunch food smells.
