Epulo Bistro Ratings and Reviews
We were in Edmonds for an event and someone recommended Epulo as a good place to go for our anniversary. Then it became a bit of a party when someone I work with joined us. Epulo is a perfect place to go to to share some small plates and pizza. The wine selection is amazing and I thought the food was delicious and fairly priced. Our server was very nice and we didn't feel hurried. Kind of a nice European like dining experience.
Worst Seattle Restaurant Week experience ever! The food was not worth the value. Cheap ingredients--their one "short rib" menu was not short rib at all; it was cheap chuck roast. Dessert was served after a 30 minute wait, which consisted of cold, chewy donuts. Would not recommend at all!
My husband and I had a great dinner date here recently. We had stayed away for some time because we had come on Valentines Day and had a pretty bad experience. I am happy to see that was probably just a bad night one-off for them.
I'm so glad we gave Epulo another chance. The food was delicious, the ambiance was perfect and the service was good. It's my favorite local restaurant now and I can't wait to return!
This is the second year I have taken participants from the Edmonds' WOTS Conference. This year five of the seven of us were from out of state. The sixth person moved to Edmonds in July and said she would like to take her husband to Epulo.
Only two complaints: I ordered roasted Cauliflower that did not come. The server did not check how the food was and I gave up on the order.
Noise level made it a little hard to hear the people at the end of the table. If I take a group next year, I will definitely consider Epulo again.
We have been dining at Epulo since they opened in Edmonds some 8 years ago. It has become one of Edmonds' premier restaurants. The food is great and the food and wine menu is original. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. Even the owner often visits the guests' tables to find out directly how their experience is. I would without hesitation recommend this dining experience.
We always have an excellent time at Epulo. The food is very good with a range of interesting menu options. There is a very long wine list, with many excellent wines available at reasonable prices. We think the service is excellent: friendly, capable and happy to please the customers. We were offered a half glass of wine for our refill, which was a lovely option. There had been a slight mixup upon our arrival (nothing serious) and the waiter comped our wine to make up for it. The atmosphere is lively but formal enough to feel special. We consider Epulo a neighborhood gem and it saves us a trip Seattle through traffic.
Food was very good. The service was great. Its in a very nice location close to downtown Edmonds. The house made cheese was delicious. We ordered two pizzas, the dungeness crab, and the chicken with peaches. They were both quite excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant for dinner, and I'm sure they have a wonderful lunch menu.
We went to Epulo for our 48th wedding anniversary. They were very sweet to put us at a table that was quieter, near the back. The server was very friendly and attentive even though it was very crowded and busy that night. The food was great! I had the Little Gem salad and their signature short ribs. Both were excellent. My husband had the grilled pork tenderloin. He said it was good, but I was disappointed that they didn't grill the peaches, too; just sliced fresh ones. Otherwise, it was fine. We were surprised with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was a perfect end to a perfect meal. This is a gem of a restaurant in Edmonds and they obviously put a lot of care and thought into everything they do!
Lovely, rustic-elegant place. Their signature martini drink made with white cranberry is excellent. The short rib and pork tenderloin seems to have the most popularity. Very flavorful and well presented. Would have it again. Flavors were inventive and memorable. Suggest to make reservations - I did it on line from their site. Really enjoyed the ambiance and our waitress. Lots of happy people.
service was great except for the part where we were asked to be out by 7pm - less than an hour from arrival time from a reservation made at 6pm. To their defense, we asked to move tables because our first table was in the front and uncomfortable due to one chair being in a pathway.
food was okay though. not worth the price IMO. but what do I know?
would not recommend unless you're a retired person living in Edmonds with no ambition to drive outside of the area.
ePulo has become our go-to place in Edmonds. The food is good and the service is excellent. Recently we had a great experience with Heather, a truly excellent server. My only suggestion for this restaurant is that they serve a green vegetable with entrees. The entrees seem incomplete with only a protein and a starch. Both for balance and to justify the price, a bit of green is warranted.
The food was wonderful, we ordered the calamari, the capicolli pizza and the home made burrata. The service was excellent. The draft beer selection is a bit limited, I wish they had a scotch ale and tables for 4 near the windows as they only had tables for 2.
