I was entertaining clients and friends and we had a wonderful meal, very good service. Love the ambiance of the restaurant. It is definitely a favorite whether you are out for a casual eating experience or a special celebration, it elevates any event.
The ambience was energetic, louder than I had anticipated. But we were also next to a table of 10-12 30-somethings and they were quiet "present".
The service was exceptional! Food was hot when it arrived.
Unique dishes. I had the chicken thigh -- and I think I could have kept eating. It was very good. An excellent wine was recommended and will probably become a fave or mine.
Like so many restaurants now, it was extremely noisy. Our only complaint. Enjoyed everything else about the restaurant, including the pillows on the seats in the booth - Excellent idea!
We have always enjoyed our date nights at Epulo that we go to for special occasions. Our disappointment this time was the noise level. We arrived at 6:00 and were promptly seated near the bar on a Friday. (Yes, I did request a quiet table, if possible). The food was excellent, but we could barely carry on a conversation. We'll think of other options the next time we go out for a birthday or anniversary dinner.
We enjoyed our meals at E Pu Lo this past week. the restaurant has wonderful atmosphere and the food is great. The guys have enjoyed the short ribs here both times. I love the salad choices and the yummy vegetable preparations.
Great food and service. Purchased a very nice bottle of red to have with dinner, it was ice cold and did not warm up prior to our meal ending. Dissapointing wine storage/temperature control for a restaurant of this quality.
Food was underwhelming.
Disappointing that Calamari no longer on the menu.
Overall, wondering if there has been a change in the kitchen. Will try again soon in the hope that this was simply
an “off night”.......
Heather was our waitress. She was great as usual. Epulo is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Food, service and atmosphere are always great.
Our waitress was awesome! She gave great suggestions on her favorite dishes and they did not disappoint. She was also very kind and attentive throughout the evening. She’s definitely a reason we will be coming back. The food was delicious as well, too many delicious dishes to choose from.
Delicious food, interesting choices for food and drinks. Nice lighting. It’s definitely a louder/busier place but it doesn’t really detract from the experience unless you’re looking for a quiet, private place to have dinner. I feel like the menu and service are top notch.
Everything was wonderful. The service was excellent and our meal was served by the chef. Very fun. Great drinks!!
Their menu is very different, food was good, but service was not
Delicious salad and meals (and we're picky)! We will be back!
I can't believe this place has been here 9 years and I only just discovered it. I think that might be partly due to the poor signage, which at night especially is nearly invisible. However, I am glad that I have found it and I will make it one of my regulars. The menu is fairly short but high quality and interesting, which I prefer to long and ordinary! I asked for my steak to be medium-to-medium rare and that was exactly what I got, and I frequently have had specialist steak houses get it wrong. None of our party had pizza but I must say, the ones that went past us looked fantastic. My only caveat is that it's noisy, which I find most restaurants are these days due to the fashion for lots of hard surfaces. I wish more of them used some kind of sound damping. [sigh] Anyway, great restaurant, great food. Not the cheapest but the quality is there.
My go-to place that I always recommend. Love the ambiace, service and food. Burrata is amazing, as is the lamb!
We go back again and again because the food never disappoints! Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and good at their jobs.
Excellent food and service. Really enjoyed out evening at Epulo and we'll be returning.
Wonderful lively atmosphere for a fun gathering. Great eclectic menu and wide selection of interesting and unique cuisine. Very loud, but otherwise enjoyable.
Love this place - in my opinion the best in Edmonds
This is a reliable go-to for a girls-night out. Good ambience, solid menu and food is more than decent. I’ll be back.
A little bit easier for conversation with the acoustical ceiling panels added since the last time we were here. It’s been awhile as it was so noisy the last time. But, the food remains top notch along with the service, so we’ll be returning more regularly now.
Great food, attentive wait staff, and no rush to get you out the door. Highly recommended. PS - The Braised Beef with garlic potatoes is really good.
Oooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooo. Ooooooooo ooooooo.
Wonderful food and half-price bottle night on Sunday (!!!)
Great! I don’t drink but their non alcoholic “shrubs” are pretty amazingly good.
Pasta was amazing and very creative with vegetables
Also for our meat lovers!
Good food and service, but we were a little surprised that there were no side vegetables on the plate. Just the meat and potatoes or polenta exactly as listed on the menu, but nothing green to balance it out.
Crispy chicken thigh was decidedly not crispy...tasty, yes, but very gooey. Disappointed.
Clams with chorizo were delicious.
Awesome service by Deborah! Food was great!
It was a little tight for tables. I would’ve preferred a booth but we were only 2. My only complaint was that it was quite loud inside. The food was excellent and the service was great too.
Never a disappointment. We have always had great service and the food is excellent. It’s always been a very enjoyable evening. Worth the drive.
The duck and chicken thighs were the best! Scallops were fine but few, and the pork was so-so. Service was great; we brought our own wine but there was some on the list we'd have happily chosen if we hadn't.
We had an anniversary here along with a 4-course dinner certificate. The owner, Tim, tailored the meal to avoid all gluten, dairy, soy, and eggs for one of us. All of the food was excellent for the price and the wine paired well.
The cauliflower and the short ribs were fabulous. And the chocolate mousse
Made same day reservations for a party of 6 (family), no issue at all. Server was great, food was great, we really had a nice time.
We wanted to try this restaurant for some time and last Sunday we finally made it there. It was an acceptable but not spectacular experience.
The food was tasty but it was hardly even warm when it arrived. The service was only fair. We sat for a long time waiting for the server at various stages of the meal. He seemed to disappear for extended periods of time with some frequency. The seating is pretty tight with the tables so close together that there was no sense of privacy and it was pretty noisy with so many people crammed together rather severely. I am glad that we didn't want to talk about any really private things!
Overall it was adequate enough that we would go again at some point in the future but are not rushing.
As always, I really appreciate the great service Epulos provides. Food and drinks are excellent!
This is the 3rd time that Ive tried this place and I really wanted to like it. The wine list was nice and I enjoyed the signature cocktail list. I think the bartender takes a lot of pride and maybe that’s what I need to do, just sit in the bar and maybe order a flatbread instead of the dining room experience. I ordered the Muscovy duck breast and the server said it comes medium rare which is what I expected, it comes with 3 slices of potatoe fried in duck fat which was underwhelming and lacked seasoning, it was so boring I just pushed it to the side. So, the duck, the main event for me, was mostly medium rare but the inside was extremely rare and the skin was flabby. I guess people like it here because it was packed .... maybe it was just an off night for the duck
We had wanted to check out Epulo for quite some time, and when we saw that it was participating in the Seattle Restaurant Week we decided to take advantage of it. We were seated precisely at our reservation time, and were given a nice little table by the window. The waitstaff were clearly experienced, quick but not rushed and solicitous without being pushy. The menu and wine list were extensive, and the prices were reasonable. I had Fire Roasted Cauliflower, Braised Beef Short Rib Boneless, and Zeppole (House Made Donuts), all of which were very tasty. The restaurant was very busy, and a little noisy, but the overall experience was great. I noticed that on Tuesdays they have a four course Tasting menu; I definitely plan to try it!
Great food, exceptional service. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Melt in your mouth bursts and
Short ribs to die for....one of my favorites
