Our go to greek restaurant, very good food. Especially the Humus.
What a gem! The food is outstanding: fresh, delicious, and authentic, with a great variety of offerings. Everyone at our table felt they must have found the best thing on the menu! Each plate brings a generous and thoughtful presentation of delights. The service was welcoming and attentive, without being intrusive, and the decor and ambiance were simply perfect. And happily, the prices were not outrageous. I may not get back to Greece for a while, but everything at Epsilon made me feel I was there!
bread was blah
my fish overcooked
others liked their dishes
Delicious Food, Great Service and beautiful Restaurant.
Very good food & friendly staff. It was my birthday and with out knowing they brought me out a dessert signing.
Great experience. The food was wonderful, and the service attentive.
This is a great place to eat. The food is amazing and the staff is always very friendly. During our most recent visit however, the waitress didn't tell us about the specials, we had to ask for drink refills and she didn't offer dessert. When she came to drop off the bill, we had to ask for the baklava with brown sugar ice cream, because that is a must! :-) Maybe she was new or having an off night. Anyway, we'll definitely be back.
Excellent food, if you want. Greek food go here!
Ambiance was nice, but it was too loud to really converse. The food was not the most impressive, especially for the price. Rice side dish had poor quality rice. Main dish was okay, but nothing to write home about. The salad was very good and the best part of the meal. Would maybe try one more time to give benefit of the doubt, but again, it is very very expensive for the quality :(
We’ve dine here a few times for lunch, and this was our first time for dinner. Every dish we ordered was delicious from the octopus appetizer to the complimentary bread with yogurt garlic dip; however, the lamb kebab (rare) that my husband ordered was on the tough side. I ordered the beef kebab (medium rare) and it was slightly tough, as well. I did manage to finish it, but my husband did not. Overall, service was very good with a friendly staff despite a very crowded atmosphere on a Saturday night.
I thought the food was just OK for the price. A lot of the options on my combo platter seemed dry and overcooked. Charging extra for pita seems lame too. Nice servers and overall a positive experience, but could use some improvement.
I love their lemon chicken Greek Salad!
As usual another awesome dining experience! Patty is one wonderful server, she takes such good care of us.
Great service, excellent atmosphere, staff was very friendly and offered plenty advice on the menu! Definitely will be back!
Reserved for 8pm and got seated at 8:30pm
Wasn’t pathetic to wait in cold night outside with a pregnant wife and kid!
We love this restaurant, and return every time we're in Monterey.
Our table for 9 was in the center of the restaurant. I was concerned about being close to the door, but it was not a problem. Our server was exceptional. She patiently explained the menu and made suggestions. Our food came out hot and delicious.
I take no pleasure in writing negative reviews, particularly when employees are friendly and helpful, the ambience is nice, and the menu looks impressive.
Our family of four had looked forward to dining at Epsilon based on the positive reviews. We ordered a variety of dishes and most everything missed the mark. The vegetarian combination platter had overcooked/dry falafel, bland stuffed grape leaves, and bland vegetables. The fried cheese (saganaki) was flavorless. I make this simple dish at home and my family mentioned that our own version is far better. The octopus appetizer was overcooked and bone dry. One member had eggplant casserole (moussaka) and said it didn't taste very good. I had fried sanddabs that were decent but accompanied with various side dishes that fought with each other and the fish. One side was cold white beans that were over seasoned. Another side was warm green beans with a smokey/somewhat burnt flavor. And another side was rice with lots of cinnamon and raisins. Most of these dishes, by themselves, would be decent... but together they made for an unpleasant assault on the palate. It was this strange mix of flavors that made me feel quite ill for a few hours following dinner.
Amazing everything, Birthday meal at my favorite restaurant. The Dolmades are the best ever. Our server was also the owner and everything was top notch.
We had a fantastic time at Epsilon, a part of the family by the end! Everything we ate was fantastic. We’ll be back!
Wonderful food and service, and a great wine list.
My favorite restaurant in Monterey! I have been coming here for almost 20 years. The lamb shank is extraordinary, but my favorite meal is ordering a ton of appetizers with friends and making a meal of it. The wait staff is first rate and the owner is awesome!
Not familiar with Greek food, but wanted to try it. Fantastic experience. Food was great. Waitress was phenomenal - helped us choose our selections. Great dining experience. Highly recommended !!
Reunion with friends
Epsilon is one of our favorite restaurants in the Monterey Bay area. The service is always warm and welcoming. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. They obviously put care and thought into the decor of the restaurant, it is beautiful.
The staff was very friendly and helped create a family-like atmosphere. The service and food were very good. The appetizers were particularly good.
An outstanding overall restaurant among many. Definitely stands out in the unique decor of the room. Very open, inviting, the natural wood feel is very inviting.Kitchen is exposed which I always enjoy. Menu was very creative and updated for fall. Something for everyone. The beet appetizer is outstanding. Almost like a hummus type dish with a unique wood under tone. A great Kale salad with a deliciously understated dressing. 3 big scallops, cooked to perfection, interesting sauces. Sides were excellent. Very unique broccolini, huge mushroom side with several kinds of mushrooms. Service was outstanding.
Great food, great service, great portions
The service is warm and friendly. The decor is lovely. You feel like you are in a taverna in Greece. The food is authentic and delicious with big portions. We've been several times and always have a wonderful time.
Food outstanding and generous portions. We love Greek food and Epsilon does an excellent job presenting true Greek food. Hostess and staff very friendly and attentive to two out of town visitors.
Chris is very warm and welcoming, and everything was great! Thank you for helping to make our daughter’s graduation special!
Always good. Every time!
Food was amazing. Unfortunately service was very rushed; it was obvious they wanted to turn over the tables quickly and allot less than an hour for each table from sit down to check
This place has amazing greek/Mediterranean food
The employees cheerful, and very customer service aware. We celebrated a birthday and graduation. This is our 2nd visit and we found it as awesome the second time as we did the first. You don't want to kiss having a dinning experience here. The food is delicious.
Service food everything was perfect.
Our server was very helpful with menu advice and explanation and she was so amiable
We will be back definitely
Hummus, calamari, Moussaka, Gyro's the perfect food
Food compared to other restaurants Ibarra serving same fare was more expensive and much less flavorful
Good food. Portions too large for reasonable diners.
