Great experience. We celebrated a birthday. The patio seating was delightful, service attentive and friendly and the food outstanding. The atmosphere was very upbeat. Will be back.
We love Epazote! The weather is perfect so the outdoor patio seating is fabulous for a lovely dinner. We look forward to coming back! Thank you!
The Service was slow, the food was average and the prices did not match the quality or taste. Not sure we will be back.
This is a very special place to enjoy a fabulous sunset view. The prices are reasonable, the food is good and the service is good as well.
What an amazing dining experience! Chef Josh created an outstanding vegan surprise for my dinner with herbs from the on site garden. It was delicious and Chef Josh was so attentive to our group. It was a priceless evening. The next day we couldn't stop commenting on how much we enjoyed the evening and wondered if we were treated special for any reason. We concluded it is just the way everyone must feel who dines at Ezapote!
Food was amazing and Leah was great!!! Will definitely be back.
As usual everything was fantastic.
Excellent service, pleasing atmosphere and the food... was... delightful.
Thank you to the entire crew.
From the hostess seating us to the filling of our water and the wonderful chef staff we couldn’t ask for more.
Service and wait staff were friendly. Ambiance was lovely. But the food was just okay. Probably would not go back.
The quality of the service and food was very disappointing.. this is more of a pool side coffee shop level, NOT a restaurant.
Food was flavorful. Good selection of appetizers
Can't say enough good things. Service and food perhaps the best we recall at any restaurant. Personal attention to detail, innovative and delightful and delicious food preparation, fresh, superb ingredients - we will definitely be back again. And again.....
We are staying at the hotel and were going to go off property for dinner until we heard there was a Prime Rib Special. Yay! My prime rib was great, and my husband had the vegetable pasta dish to which he added shrimp and was very happy with his meal. The breads provided were equally delicious.
Chef Joshua Willetts peronally made sure we were happy with our meal and the rest of the wait staff was equally accommodating, making us feel very welcome.
Will definitely eat here again and recommend it to all!
Excellent food and service ... Can't say enough how well the entire staff treated our group. Wonderful evening!
Our patio view was breath taking and Seth took care of our every need. That is why we ate there twice. Great experience.
Appetizer and its substitute had way too much heat/spice. My hamburger was impossible to eat normally because of it being so thickly layered with a sticky conbination of cheese and bacon making it necessary to take it apart and use a knife and fork to eat it. Mt wife said her salmon was just average. We will not return.
Classy rustic yet trendy atmosphere, delicious food, and phenomenal service! Thank you for hosting our parent's 50th wedding anniversary!!
Great restaurant, food was amazing, presentations were beautiful, service was amazing although the critics on social media said it wasn't. I feel if you treat others with respect and a smile you get the best service wherever you go.
They were accommodating to our friends disability and we had an amazing evening outside under the mountains.
Truly a gem of a place. Thank you.
Service was great and the staff was very accommodating as we asked for a table change. We expected a more formal atmosphere for the cost, but service certainly was as expected. The meals were good, but not outstanding. The in-house made chips and salsa were great. I had the asparagus pasta and added chicken. I should have left it off as it was dry - the rest of the dish was very good. My friend ordered the trout and said it was delicious. My husband’s ribeye was average at best. He said it was a thin, small cut and came more well-done than ordered. The staff brought strawberry deep fried ice cream for my friend’s birthday. It was a pretty presentation and large enough for four of us to share. We had a nice evening, but would have expected a bit more from the food. With cocktails, the four of us had a $300 bill.
For the best restaurant at the resort we were expecting something quite different for our anniversary.
To start the meal we ordered the “seafood tower”. This laughable plate showed up with a layer of unknown minced meat over a bottom layer of an avacado salad. The whole thing was 2” tall and did not taste like fresh seafood.
The bottle of wine we ordered showed up to the table as a different bottle. The waiter stated “it was ok though, because it was from the same place”. Then he could not open the bottle.
Our main course came out literally 7 min after our appetizers making the atmosphere feel more like fast food than fine dinning. The main course was good, but then the desert was also similar to the first course. A big let down and definitely mis-represented. I don’t have any problem paying their overpriced resort food fees, but I do expect the food and especially the service to be better than what we received. My advise, drive 5 min down the road for a better dinner out.
Worst service and worst meal we had on this family vacation to Tucson.
Food was reasonable price for value but drinks prices were excessive
Steak was cold, reserved table not set, specials unknown. Food tasted great, ambiance beautiful! We’ll return for second chance!
We had a lovely date night at Epazote this past Friday. The food was great! Our waiter appeared new and not well trained but over time he will get better. We were seated outside in the patio which was beautiful UNTIL very loud families ( maybe 4) with out of control children (maybe 6) took over the area. It was so loud and chaotic that we asked our waiter to move us. We chose the far right side of the patio and it was simply perfect! Please advise your diners with children that some of us have just put in a hard day at work and look forward to enjoying a relaxing evening! Thank you!
I had the trout - which was the most unappealing thing I ever ate. I had to ask for waters three times and finally got it right before the check.
Had a reservation for 7:30p. When we arrived the hostess told us she had a tabke waiting for us. Then there was a kerfuffle at the hostess station. The hostess then came to us and said there had been some confusion and it would be another 15-20min until our table was ready. When we were dinalky seates the food was very good BUT for the confusion qith the hostess tainted the entire evening. ☹
Service was slow and not effective. Items were forgotten a few times.
We found a new favorite. Loved it! We will be back!
Good food and upscale ambiance. Would go again! Don’t forget to have the fried ice cream with strawberry salsa.
The restaurant food was creative and delicious, the views terrific but wow, way too expensive. A glass of wine was $15 minimum. And on top of that there's a tax on the meal. We spent over $140 for a dinner for two, and we had split and entree. Many of the local restaurants near the hotel are just as good and more reasonably priced. Also, there's a Trader Joe's nearby, to buy a few groceries and wine. There's a mini-fridge in the room.
Went there with my wife for Valentines Day. Was seated at a table for two right across from where the food/drinks are picked up. Looks like the table had been put there so as to maximize utilization. Also, people were constantly walking by us. It was odd - there were several other tables available for the 1.5 hrs we dined there. Just a little disappointed. Sometimes it’s not about utilizing every square inch of a restaurant. There was even a table at entrance across from where people enter the restaurant.
We reserved our table in advance but were seated in the bar area instead of the dining room. The ambience we expected for Valentine’s Day was not a bar with TV’s going.
That said, the food was good and our waitress did a fine job.
the Wednesday evening prime rib special meal is outstanding. We have had several other entrees and enjoyed them very much. The current chef seems to really know his or her stuff!
Quality of food was outstanding! Especially considering a hotel restaurant. Really top quality.
Service started off great, but they got busy with a big table, and that detracted from our service. But server very nice and competent.
Noticed some nice menu changes. The chicken entree was a bit disappointing due to the lack of quantity; otherwise all entrees were enjoyed by our party of 6 recently.
Very tasty food with southwest flavor inspiration. Attentive service.
Was not impressed only 5 main dishes to choose from
Not a full menu
Stayed at the El Conquistador resort and had a nice dinner at Epazote. Somewhat limited menu, but everything we tried was very good. Service was attentive and friendly. The decor is a bit spartan, but the surroundings are gorgeous.
The servers were attentive, helpful & friendly. The chef cane to our table to assure our experience was superb. I was hosting g a eomen’s Retreat & this restaurant was highly recommended by visittucson.org. We will definitely return when weather is warmer & we could enjoy the mountain view from outdoor seating.
this resort restaurant has minimal ambiance for a upper scale resort but the food was very good and the drinks were also. as far as we could find, this was the only dinner type restaurant on the premise.
If you'd just just invest a little time and effort in training your servers on how to match their service to the first rate food and ambiance and you'd really have something. Why is that so hard?
