E.P.+ L.P. Ratings and Reviews
This was the perfect place to bring my out of town friend during Dine LA. The portion was perfect for two people and the food was delicious. Everything was spiced perfectly and well balanced. The drinks we had were pricey, but considering this was a special dinner that was alright. After our delicious meal, we finished the night on the 3rd floor to have one last drink.
I've been here a few times before and have never had an issue with food, service, or ambiance. This particular time was a little frustrating considering my husband and I made a reservation for ourselves and two of our friends and were still made to wait an hour for a table which totally negates the purpose of a reservation in the first place. That being said, once we were finally seated, everything was great.
After more than a week trying various restaurant in California we finally nailed it. The restaurant is the best thus far we have discovered.
The Asian inspired food really hits the spot. Real Asian taste without any reservation. It’s the real deal like you find in the streets of Bangkok, Hanoi or Kuala Lumpur.
We took the counter table and that was the best decision. The chef was very friendly and explained to us all the dishes he has prepared and there is nothing better than being able to see what comes out of the open kitchen and consult the chef on his creation.
The music and the ambiance were fantastic too.
All the staff were fantastic and after the dinner you can just go to the roof and had an amazing drinks at the bar overlooking the city.
A group of us came here for my birthday dinner and couldn't have been more disappointed. In a city full of good restaurants it is really unfortunate when a place delivers subpar service. From the moment we arrived we were treated with such horrible service, ridiculous attitude and everyone was downright rude! We talked about leaving and honestly we should have. The server kept bumping into my friend's chair. We moved the table over. Only to realize after dinner they spilled a drink all down her leather jacket and never mentioned a word! Absolutely absurd. We will never go back here or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Nearly a week later and I'm still fuming about this place. Notice I didn't mention anything about the food? That is because it was not memorable, complete garbage food.
Server was very lackadaisical – like she did not want to be there. Food was terribly salty and overly spicy. Manager Brandon would not ask the chef to re-cook the salty dishes or offer to exchange the dishes for another option. Asked Manager but he refused to take any $$$ off the bill for a very unsatisfactory experience. Rooftop is great for drinks but skip the frustration and dreadful food of the restaurant. They really don't care about customer service or experience
we came here to celebrate my engagement with girlfriends, after being seated, our waiter didn't come to our table for over 25 minutes, not even to say hello and offer water, so we walked out. I would not return. The service was not even terrible as it was inexistent.
The restaurant wasn't even half full at the time of our arrival. Despite of that they seated us by the kitchen completely removed and away from other people. It was a very sad experience and quite frankly very humiliating as if they didn't want us to dine with the rest. Just because you hire models as hostesses it does not mean that they actually know anything about hosting.
I had a rsvp for a birthday dinner for 6 people. I needed to add one more person and when I called to request that the hosted was very snobby about it saying she could not add one more person to the table and that I would have to move my reservation to almost 10pm which is pretty late for a dinner. I kept my reservation for 6 however we didn't get the table till past 10pm!! so not only I was no able to invite one more for my bday celebration but we had to eat very late and service was slow. In general the service staff host and at entrance are super snobby which is pretty lame. Is just a restaurant for god's sake. Places in NYC, Japan, or even london are not as snobby as this one with much better service. Not sure if I would come back or recommend.
Not returning. Had to send something back, food was not worth the price at all. Got seated at a terrible bar, asked for a table and couldn’t accommodate. Took forever to get food and wasn’t that busy. Also, we would of enjoyed it more, if we could get drinks!
The beef (twice) short rib was the BEST pot roast I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection and the secret sauce that went with it made the most unbelievable compliment to the entree. That alone was worth any drive. I plan on coming back again with others so they can try the food. My highest compliments to the chef and culinary team for their work. Our server was great, too. Awesome bar scene with an amazing view on the roof. Would highly recommend.
