Excellent! Great chefs make amazing dishes.Don't forget the outstanding desserts.
Was great! food was awesome, fun vibe, great service.
I was very skeptical about this place, it seemed more like a bar than anything else. But it truly exceeded my expectations. We sat by the bar, where you can see in plain view all the chefs at work. They have a section for every dish they have on the menu, and when one guy finishes a plate, there are 2 supervisors checking on every single dish that comes out before it gets handed to you. Truly blew my mind away that they are so meticulous with their quality of food. The food was amazing. The Kakoda was my absolute favorites. Check this spot out for a date night, or if you want to go rooftop for a drink.
Crow is young and lively. It seems like a hot spot, esp. after 11pm as there were a line outside.
The rooftop bar is beautiful, with a magnificent almost-360º view.
The overall ambience is great, but noise is a major consideration when making your reservation.
It's way louder than most restaurants, as if we were in a bar/club.
Regarding their asian fusion menu, half of our order were great (chicken, ribs, slaws), half were ok (yellow tail salad, rib appetizer). Overall, the food was fair but expensive.
The drinks are in the range of $16-20, again, more expensive than all the other bars in the area, and they were just ok.
Worth it for the fried fish in schezuan pepper. So good. Delicious mezcal cocktail too.
Very good food but bad service. Waited a long time for a table even with a reservation and a long time for outlet server to come.
Terrible value. Beautiful restaurant, amazing rooftop and attentive servers but the food was simply overpriced and the portions minor. Great place to visit but hold low expectations on the actual meal
Even though I made a reservation on OpenTable my guest and I were seated at the bar. It was incredibly loud and uncomfortable to sit there. We complained to the restaurant and they told us we didn't have a reservation, but when we should our confirmation they still told us we had to sit at the bar.
Great food. Great vibes.
Food preparation was unique and flavorful. The service and atmosphere, though, were not good. Several members of the staff (rooftop bartender, our waiter in the dining room, dining room manager) were aloof. Our waiter acted as though he was doing us a favor by even stopping by the table. Music was very loud in the dining room, not conducive for conversation. Can't recommend this place.
Literally the best restaurant in LA. It simply can't be beat. The food is wonderful, and Chef Lou is kind, friendly, talented and the best possible chef.
Should have told us before the reservation that they don’t accept less than 21 year old people on the rooftop bar
It was my second visit and it was still amazing. I adores the “Turning Asian” drink- it comes in a tiki neko cat! And best dish of all, the check to neck.
Taking traditional and rather inexpensive Thai and Vietnamese dishes - changing an ingredient or two and calling it fusion doesn't justify the price. You're better off going to Thai Town or the San Gabriel valley for truly authentic and much better tasting Asian dishes for a fraction of the price. I wish I would have gone to a steak house instead.
Horribly over-priced, poor quality food!
We were on holiday and visited saturday evening. It was lively and and a cool atmosphere we liked very much.
I enjoyed the lively vibe at EP & LP but it did get a little too loud sometimes. I have a soft voice, so it was hard to shout all the time to be heard, and I had to concentrate a lot to hear my friends during our dinner. I liked the food as well. We were trying out the DineLA menu they had over there. Overall, the price was a bit too high for my liking, but I knew it was going to be pricy going in so I wasn't too shocked. The portion sizes were smaller than I expected though. It tasted pretty good but the ribs were maybe a little too sweet for my tastes. The service was great and they even let me charge my phone at the counter for a few minutes so that I could call an Uber. Overall, I had a good time and I would come back here in the future to try their open-roof bar.
Waited an hour for a table that we had reserved. They over booked. In the end they competed some drinks but could have been more proactive while we waited. Food was great so made up for the wait.
Acoustics very bad so couldn’t enjoy company of friend
Asked for leftovers but waiter never came back
Short pour on wine
Food tasted good
Over seasoned ,
Amazing Service, accommodations for allergies and food was amazing. Our family thanks you all.
Food was amazing !
All hype and poor service. A table of 4 that sat down after us received their menus, received their order and were eating before us. They stay very on-brand with all of the cheesy sayings on coasters, along the wall, on the back of the menu, etc etc. Instagrammers and out-of-staters will love. Food is nothing particularly special. Chicken and waffles were probably the best thing on their brunch menu. The ginger syrup and chili and fish sauce? sauce went well together and the chicken had a lighter coating which was nice. Everything else sampled at our table was not great. This restaurant is very much more for the scene.
Really way too loud in the dining area. Felt like I was in a vegas club. Very heard to hear your dining mate unless you lean into the table to chat. The rooftop was nice for drinks. The food was very average at best, maybe even below avg. not worth the price.
I enjoyed my time here! I arrived early and was directed to the rooftop until the restaurant opened for my reservation. The view was great and the patrons were friendly and happy. From the short wait time I went down one floor to the restaurant and there me and my date ordered a few bites that were SO satisfying. The food is seasoned to perfection and the Rosé is quite tasty. My date and I discussed this becoming our new night out spot. I will definitely be back again.
Came for Dine LA and they were sketchy about it. You had to ask for a specific Dine LA menu when other restaurants have the menu right on the table and offer their regular one in case you want something extra. The second we asked for the menu the waiter developed an attitude and was difficult to deal with the entire rest of the meal.
It should be specified that portions are MUCH smaller than the actual entree which was not what we thought we were paying for. Although the food was good, it was $29 for an okay size appetizer, embarrassingly small entree, and one piece of a dessert each. Other places offer full size items for the same or a $10 price difference which is the whole point of restaurant week. The staff also didn't bother to interact with us which is not grounds for 'good service' especially for a participating restaurant event.
I am from New York and it was a strange coincidence my friend from the East Coast was visiting during Dine LA. We are huge Restaurant Week fans (a New York thing) and it was a disappointing experience and I wish we chose to get this experience elsewhere.
Loved the curry - its a bit dark and closed in downstairs but perfectly insulated from Melrose and La Cienega traffic
Rooftop bars are terrific - private bar didn’t seen uber private
Great service. Thank you
Cool environment. Obviously a Hollywood hotspot. Very, very loud. Bordering on too loud. Great service. Great drinks. We did the tasting menu and enjoyed it. Maybe a bit cilantro heavy. Overall, fun night out with friends. Clearly the rooftop bar is incredibly popular.
I made the reservation for my friends and I to have a girls night. Unbeknownst to me, if you want rooftop dining it’s first come first serve and doesn’t require a reservation. I had made a reservation and when we were seated we found it so loud we couldn’t hear one another. So we walked back to tell the host we wanted to go to the rooftop. As we’re walking towards her she rolls her eyes at us and sharply turns around to talk to the other hostess. They both had such an attitude which, excuse me, but you’re a hostess not a brain surgeon. Bring down the attitude please. We all have pre-teens and frankly, if we wanted that much attitude we would’ve stayed home. EP should think about hiring people who behave like adults and not 12 year old brats who were clearly raised by wolves.
That being said, the rooftop was fine. Bartender and server were great and we had no attitude from them at all.
I LOVED THE FOOD! The Duck Larb was on point. Bright and spicy. The fried rice was epic. Some of the best I have ever had. The Crispy Chicken was excellent as well. The service was excellent.
Each person we spoke to was well versed on the menu and knew the different nuances of each dish.
However, it was way too noisy for dinner. The music is very loud and there only hard surfaces. I was sitting across from someone and couldn't even hear them. The couple that ended up sitting next to us, who seemed like young hip foodies leaned over to us and expressed their disappointment on how noisy it was. Considering it was early, only 6:30, it was a really bad. When your server can barely hear you there is an issue. It was very disappointing as I was planning on having my birthday party there next week. But after this trial run, although I loved the food, I want to talk to my friends and not shout to them. I have since cancelled that reservation. E.P. needs to decide whether they are a bar or a restaurant. Considering they have a great roof top bar and terrace, L.P., it seems within reason to make their dining room feel like a dining room.
Despite having a booking, EP&LP kept us waiting for 15 minutes, so we changed our booking to an hour later, and then still had to remind them to seat us.
The food was really delicious but there was far too much of it in the sharing menu for 2 people alone and we had to leave some.
The bill was delivered before we'd ordered our coffees which was poor service and showed that our waitress was more keen to finish on time than do a good job. And, just as I signed the bill, I received an email from Opentable saying that I'd missed the booking... the service team really need to pull up their collective socks.
But the venue was fun and provided the best people-watching opportunities of anywhere I've been in years.
I had heard this place was really good but honestly, given how much of a scene the rooftop is, I wasn't confident about the food. We went for DineLA (we live nearby) to check out the menu, and I have to say, the food was delicious. Yes, it was loud and kinda crazy, but it was still a ton of fun. I heard it's more manageable during the week--worth checking out, but warning: it gets pricey fast.
Waited an hour and a half for our table when we had a reservation.
Fun spot for rooftop drinks! Food was okay, atmosphere was great.
Waited over an hour to be seated despite having a reservation. Waited another hour for our food. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Waitress was very kind but had too many tables to tend to. The top deck is a wonderful venue for having a cocktail and will surely revisit, but just for that. The restaurant needs serious work.
I reserved EP for an 8 PM date with a reservation that explicitly said ‘Table for 2’ and yet when I arrived we were given seating on the counter. Upon further inquiry, we were told that ‘seating is not guaranteed’. It took them about 40 minutes before we actually got a table. The hostess seemed to be stalling us and was not upfront about the seating situation. Our waiter and the food was great but the disrespectful wait to get a table left a sour taste in our mouths.
Great food! Loud. Have a drink before at the rooftop!
Post work great place for dinner and drinks. Also recommend it would be a great date night place to dine.
Food is not that great here, the bar is better but the drinks are weak, low quality alcohol is used. Slow service, recommend going early if you want to get in. If you are anything other then white get a reservation as the door man is biased and will hassle you getting in.
