When we asked for a special table and the hostess station was quick to accommodate… Then one of our party was up on the roof and the host to staff held her table for 20 minutes while we joined them… Everything was excellent food was excellent service was excellent we love this place!

I went in with high expectation for a meal that would leave me amazed. Instead I left amazed that a waiter could less understanding in finding things to less than adequate. First to explain that EP LP does not honor requests for counter seating or table seating. We had to ask the Maître d’ to reseat us at a table where she explained requesting on open table doesn’t effect the restaurant and that it is first come first serve. (There were around 10 open tables we walked by before being lead to the counter and I asked for a change)

Once seated at a table. (Right next to their service station and back side of the bar on the second level. Our server came over and explained that it’s family style and that he recommended dishes. We ordered drinks (basil Hayden old fashioned , and a Thai beer. The drinks came and we ordered our meal. ( I finished my cocktail in 3 sips, it was quite small, especially for an old fashioned ) the Ceviche was a delicious coconut milk and tomato sauces kompachi mix , and though it was Described as a “small plate” it was not something I would recommend sharing with full grown adults. It was quite petite served on a dish no bigger than a coffee cup saucer. Next we got another small plate of spare ribs that was sweet like a traditional Mandarin style spare rib but diced in small chunks. We ordered a second round of drinks ( same drinks only the old fashion came with ice over pouring the top of the glass which made me wonder... what was actually in the cup. I proceed to pull the ice out of the cup to reveal that the drink was no more than approximately 1 1/2 - 2 oz total of liquids left in a very small tumbler no more than 6-8 ounce glass) our next two dishes come, a short rib “large plate” and fries rice. The short rib was a portion that most delicatessens would call a single serving, not large nor one to share with two grown adults and the rice was just ok. Our serve was rude when I asked about the drink size and make negative responses.

While most people come here for the nighlife and rooftop lounge action, we came to try the food, and were left amazed and speechless. We opted for the chef's tasting menu, which at $50, can not be beat! This menu gave us 6 good size servings and an excellent blend of the various flavors offered at EP.

I’m local to the area and I had been to EP+LP before and we had a great dining experience.this time ,even though we had a reservation we got seated at the bar.Thw Australian (or New Zealander )hostess was very dismissive and she kept calling me the wrong name even when she called to confirm the reservation.Our waiter on the other hand was very pleasant and helpful.
The food was excellent as usual but the noise level at the bar was awful and I could barely have a conversation.
I don’t understand why we didn’t have a table even with a reservation and I think from now on I’ll just go up to the rooftop bar.Even though the food is very good,it’s not a pleasant experience if you have to sit at the bar and can’t bear the person next to you.

The ambience and staff were wonderful. My only gripe was the White fish dish we ordered was a tad bit on the salty side. Nothing to complain to the staff about but may want to tell the chef about the heavy salt hand. Thank you!

I was disappointed in the dining room. Thinking the
Restaurant had an open air component, I was disappointed to find a rather stuffy room no good views of anything. Our waiter acted like he was a busboy - delivered and cleared but gave no intro to the restaurant nor talked about the menu, just got our order. Then, after we had clearly ordered more than enough food for the table, he suggested we add a $66 steak item. I prefer a place that is more concerned with the patron experience than upselling. And I expect professional service when I’m paying fine dining prices. On the other hand, the upstairs is fantastic with great atmosphere and views. Won’t return for dinner. May go back for drinks or a rooftop movie.

Asked them to provide a birthday dessert, but when they brought out the dessert that I ordered they completely forgot to add any birthday decoration, just brought out a sad looking plain scoop of white ice cream. Then when I told the waitress that I had requested a birthday dessert, she just brought out an un-lit candle. It was so disappointing.

Waited 30 min post reso time to be sat. After making reso for standard table and for bday was offered high top in bar. Service slow—took about 10 min for server to come to table after water poured. But the food is insane good. The vibe of restaurant is fun and energetic. Once we ordered food came out fast. Server checked on us. But wasn’t memorable. We waited awhile after eating our dessert ordered for a bday ice. Team. Not sure why it didn’t come w dessert. And instead waited. Overall good, but could have been better. Food is what saved it

Ep&LP has a fun atmosphere and I love the roof bar. The food unfortunately was terrible, very salty and we ordered the lamb with lettuce cups and it was so tough. The short ribs were also tough. Very disappointing I really wanted to like the place. We went there for dinner and were sat at a high table, very uncomfortable and not what you’d expect when booking a table.

Never in my life have I experienced worse service. We had reservations at 19:30, and arrived at exactly 19:45 (we tried to call to let them know we were running late, but no answer). We got information that our table was lost and that we could wait at LP the bar and they would call us. However, they could not estimate how long we would have to wait. We asked several times what was going on but they couldn't tell us anything. After two hours (!!) they had a table for us. However, we left after we saw that they wanted to seat us at a table for 3 (we were 4). Went to shake shack in stead, which I can highly recommend. Great food, good service, and a lot more fun.

This spot was insanely great!! We wanted Thai for Mother’s Day and this spot didn’t disappoint AT ALL. Jose, our waiter was awesome!! The food, was awesome!! The restaurant vibe, was awesome. It was one of the best meals out that we’ve had in LA! The best!!

We ordered half of the menu! Literally. And everything was so yummy! The vegetable tofu curry , shrimp fried rice, chicken, fried white fish, egg rolls, spare ribs.... the list went on. Great place with the cutest rooftop bar lounge that tops off the entire experience.

Overall the experience was very disappointing. We arrived on time had to check in three times twice downstairs and once upstairs. The hostess was very rude and unpleasant. She decided to put us in a corner table practically inside the kitchen and behind the bar. When I asked for a different table, her attitude was the most unpleasant I've ever had in a restaurant except for Pump. The food was basic, it had no taste, the short ribs were dry and the veggies seem to be pulled from a frozen bag of birds eye and thrown in chicken broth. Overall it was one the most underwhelming and unpleasant experiences I have ever had at restaurant. We left and went to get burgers unfortunately and they tasted a million times better than anything in the menu. It was expensive and yet not worth the price. I will not be going back.

Loved hanging at the rooftop bar before we got seated, loved the Frozé and views and hip crowd, and food was yummy. Can’t wait to come back and check out the rooftop theater!

The food was amazing, but what truly knocked our socks off was the service. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, professional- and no “zones”: any wait staff who saw us needing something came to help and provided a solution.

As for the food, the Dan Dan noodles stole the show. Rich, succulent, and delicious! The Komodo was a refreshing start to the meal. The “Check yo neck,” which initially struck us as a bit gamey and lamby by the third bite was delicious.

I can’t wait to go back

Honestly, the meal was disappointing in so many aspects. From undercooked toothfish to bones in my pork neck stew, there were more flaws than highlights and nothing hit a high mark at all. After attending the LA Food Bowl event here last year, I was stoked to go back because the food was so good and the value there. But this year the whole thing was off from the first course. By the time I got the halo halo, it was passable, but nothing spectacular. I just wish it had been better.

This restaurant is my favorite place in LA to eat. Not only are the food, staff, and ambiance simply perfect, but the head chef sets a tone of professionalism and welcoming grace that makes customers want to return again and again. It's a fun place with a trendy vibe, but I think the best description is that it always feels like I'm arriving home.

The waiting staff, ambiance and food were incredible. The view both upstairs from the bar and the restaurant were a delicious view of LA. I would recommend this to anyone and know that there is no chance of even a mediocre experience. Thank you all!!!

Asked for nice seats, got not nice seats. Service was slow (honestly why does it take 15+ minutes to get a beer or glass of wine??), music really loud, and the food made me sick... so all in all not the greatest experience.

Really bad food. Second time there for dinner on a Saturday in the last couple of months and the food is awful. I never leave feedback for restaurants but this one is so bad. Everything we ordered both times there was disgusting. The $18 cocktails are served in tiny glasses with hardly any vodka in them. Every time.

Great drinks (mezcal especially!) at the rooftop bar preceded a tasty meal downstairs! Loved the ceviche, dan dan noodles, chicken curry, and the coconut pudding dessert! Our waiter and servers were so helpful, attentive, and friendly.

lOVE THE PLACE. THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THE MUSIC VOLUME IN THE DINING ROOM. A LITTLE LOWER AND WE WOULD BE ABLE TO TALK. I HAD TO LITERALLY YELL ACROSS MY TABLE. AND WE WERE ONLY 6. PLEASE .... JUST A LITTLE LOWER .... :)

Very, very loud. Food was good. Waitstaff was distant and while I wouldn't say unfriendly there was certainly no warmth. Their job was to bring the food and beverage- nothing more nothing less. And I can say this with some certainty since we had two people wait on us and both were like that.

I'd go back for the food, but not rushing to do so.
