It was our first visit and we loved Eos. The food was so good. I had one of the specials and it was out of this world.

Eos is always full of familys and couples enjoying their excellent greek food. All of the appetizers are delicious, and of course the fish is always excellent. You can try the flaming cheese dish for a bright surprise. We always start with the Mezze (3 dish combination), and add a couple other appetizers. You can fill yourself on appetizers alone. And the wine is reasonable.

Excellent Greek cuisine in Stamford. Calm staff with tremendous warmth help guide our selection of appetizers and fish or meat entrees. We always try the Greek wines and have never been disappointed!

We really enjoyed our meal. The steak pita wrap was wonderful as was the fried calamari . One of my friends had the salmon and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, the white sangria is fabulous. The only negative comments I have are 1) the service was not great. We were there on a Tuesday night at 5:45 and we were one of only 2 or 3 tables of people in the whole place, so we thought that was pretty unacceptable to have such bad service; 2) the fried calamari did not come with any side sauce and when my friend questioned it, she was told that they had marinara sauce if we wanted some. She said yes please. It never came. Lastly, though I mentioned how wonderful the white sangria is, I thought $12.00 a glass was very steep for what it is. It is not unusual for a decent glass of wine in our area to cost $12.00, however, Sangria, which is typically made with inexpensive wine and a lot of filler, should not cost that much in my opinion.

Food has always been good and authentic but so much anymore. Wine list was mostly Greek but since I'm not familiar with Greek wines I was hoping for a little direction...our waitress didn't know the wines and didn't offer to get someone to help us. Overall very disappointing.

I am a fairly harsh critic of food. I think the Greek food at Eos is just about the best anywhere--and I live in NYC. If I lived nearby, I'd be eating it constantly!!!!!!

The ambiance and food were excellent as always. But perhaps our waiter had a problem as he was glum and brusque and artificial. I remember all prior wait staff as upbeat and cheery and inviting and seemed to enjoy interacting with the cistomers.

Great menu of fresh authentic Greek cuisine. Items are a bit pricey but delicious. The wine list is extensive which included domestic and Greek wines. Superb service. I will be coming back when I'm in the area again.

The restaurant has changed so much, the food was of low quality, the zucchini tasted like water and the sauce on top looked and tasted like a dressing from a bottle. The Greek salad has crushed feta cheese and it seemed like the restaurant bought it from a market, it was not fresh. Overall the food was very poor compared to past experiences.

I was unimpressed. The service was terrible - we had to ask for water refills several times and my iced tea sat empty for half the meal. We had to flag down our server to get service several times. The food was fine, but just fine. Steak needed more seasoning and the salad needed more olives than just the stingy 4 alottment.

The food is what makes this place valuable. I am from
Europe and the food served (all three courses) took me back to my childhood. The food was delicious and tasted almost homemade. Very fresh; the only thing to change is to not have fries with the skirt steak but a vegetable instead.
The only reason this place is not getting 5 stars is because the decor and ambiance really lacks. It is really dark even eating outside so it somewhat kills the mood. Also the decor can use an upgrade for a more crisp and fun look. I love that this place offers the outdoor seating but it is really dark even on a sunny day.

Service (at the supervision level) should improve, no one on the staff had basic ability to explain the wine list and make recommendation. The Ouzo, which came on the house with the mix grill (a nice gesture by itself), was diluted. We'll try it again.

The food was really very good, the skirt steak was okay and needed some more flavor, but the potatoes that accompanied it were delicious. The lamb was awesome, definitely recommend sticking with the lamb dishes. Taramasalata was delicious, one of the best I've had. The tzatziki was also fantastic! They had great food for the most part. The Greek beers we're good, and the service was also great. The ambiance is pleasant, I wish they played Greek music instead of pop music, but honestly it doesn't really matter. Bathroom was clean, but a single person one. Clean restaurant with cute outdoor seating area too. Nice lighting, especially by the doors at the front of the restaurant. Decent size bar with all the typical selections. All of us really enjoyed the meal and will probably go back if we make it down to Stamford again.

When I checked in I was told there was no reservation on file, nor were the friends we're meeting there yet. Good thing is they did have a table for 4 available. I waited outside while my husband parked the car and to greet my fitness when they arrived. This seemed all so strange as I received a confirmation from Open Table for the reservation that same day. Then my friend came up to me and said she and her husband had been inside for 15 minutes. Weird?! The service was slow and inconsistent all night. The table was tiny and we were fighting all night to keep our drink glass, water glass and the dishes that came all in the table. It was very frustrating. The food was good. I'd do take out another time as the service and atmosphere is lacking.

Amazing lunch at Eos! We had the mixed grilled platter, several dips, salad, a special lamb dish and a few deserts. All was excellent, very authentic, well prepared and of good quality. Our teenagers loved all of it too.

I brought my husband here to celebrate his birthday (which I noted on the reservation). The décor felt like it was trying to be modern, but it came across as ordinary; certainly not a deal breaker for us. That said, the service was flat out abysmal, ruining our special evening. My appetizer came out promptly; however, after a 1/2 hour had passed, we had to flag down the waiter (since he never checked on us) asking if they had forgotten about my husband's. A bus person, not our waiter, told us it would be out soon. I had completely finished my appetizer before his arrived -- no one likes to watch someone else eat while they sit hungry. Throughout our meal, the waiter was typically nowhere to be found. Case in point, our main course was brought out, and we had to flag the hostess down to get a fork to actually eat it.

The tyrokafteri was good, tzatziki and taramasalata were fairly bland, the lamb chops and shank were very good, but not outstanding, and the orzo was delicious. Overall, we've definitely had much more flavorful Greek elsewhere.

The ambiance was further marred by the constant blast of arctic winds coming in the front door. We were in the first booth, so my feet/ankles were like ice the entire time. A woman at the table next to us wore her puffy coat while dining after they couldn't accommodate her request to move to a warmer table. This issue truly needs to be resolved for the winter months.

The waiter finally addressed the terrible service as he gave us our check, a.k.a. Tip Time, blaming it on "Everyone coming in at once." Finally, as we were literally out the door, the hostess wished my husband a Happy Birthday. That would've been a nice touch at any point earlier, but again, personal service doesn't seem to be their strong suit.

In summary, this place feels like "The only show in town" when it comes to Greek, so it makes sense for locals. For everyone else, I'd recommend traveling to one of the far better choices in Manhattan and Westchester.

I gave been to EOS several times. The food is always good, but the noise was awful, I could hardly hear my husband who was sitting right next to me. Other than that, it was good.
Definitely will go again, but perhaps not on a Saturday night.

We took advantage of the three course Stamford Restaurant Week menu, which was a decent deal. The selections were very limited, but since everything at Eos is well prepared, it wasn't hard to find a satisfying meal. Highly recommend the grilled fish, which was very fresh and perfectly cooked. The desserts we chose, baklava and walnut cake, were delicious and each was a perfect portion size.
The restaurant was almost empty on a Wednesday at 8, so of course service was excellent, but I've been at busier times and never had a problem with service.
