I met a friend for a wonderful dinner on a really hot evening. The dinner was refreshing and delicious. It is a great spot, will be coming back.
I've always enjoyed eating there, but I have to say that like most restaurants, it just gets way too loud. Had it not been a very hot summer night, we would have dined outside. I wish they would do something about soundproofing. The food is consistently good, but not sure if the same chef is still there because the chicken with the fabulous lemon potatoes wasn't as great as I remembered it. The fish my husband ordered was really beautifully seasoned, but the fish was overcooked. So maybe they were having an off night. It will not stop me from returning. I especially like the grilled octopus and often have that for lunch on salad and it is very good.
Always enjoy going to Eos. The chicken kabobs were delicious as was the butter bean "meze" Everyone enjoyed everything!
Best piece of Branzino I ever had. Side dishes of roasted potatoes and spinach were great. Orange cake was delicious.
Nice downtown Stamford restaurant with quality Greek fare.
Best Greek food around. Everything is fresh and prepared. Very pleasant ambiance and the is warm and caring. The appetizers are quite large so be careful not to over order.
Thursday night reservation so not busy. Service excellent, very attentive bus staff. Good food with good recommendation. Good choices and good size portions.
Service was a little slow. We had to keep asking them to refill bread basket.
Waiter did not adequately describe the dishes we selected. Food was very good and for that reason we would go back.
the food was quite tasty, particularly the octopus appetizer and the fish. Service was pleasant and attentive.
I had been to Greece last summer and the food was just as good . The waiter was okay not super helpful but the every dish was excellent. One in our party was gluten free and not and issue at all . We sat outside and it was lovely .
On my return to EOS I did not expect anything less than good Greek food, solid Family cooking. And, it was again. Simple presentation but everything so tasty that one cannot stop eating. Grilled Octopus was excellent as always and, my eggplant (small dish served as an appetizer that could easily feed two) was delicious! Great place for lunch (I never tried it for dinner but I am sure, it would be as good) and, I will return to EOS with pleasure!
The appetizers are so wonderful that we very rarely get to the entrees!
Lamb sliders were outstanding!
The seafood was prepared well and with a light touch. Seafood appetizer of calamari, octopus and shrimp was large enough for my main course. My husband had the branzino and raved. Prices aren't low for a local night out, but portions are large and shareable. Will definitely return.
Excellent service and food
I was there for a business lunch and sat outside. The food was very good. We ordered the calamari and shrimp appetizer which was delicious. The service was fast and the staff was friendly.
A rare miss for EOS. We are regulars but on this Sunday night they missed all around. Some food was just bad, food came out way too slowly. They were friendly but it couldn't make up for all the misses.
The food was delicious, the service was fine, but the space was very cramped and loud. I asked if we could have another table because my father is very hard of hearing (there were many available) and I was told no. The food was great though. We got many meze to share and everything was great. I would definitely go back but be very specific about not sitting in the middle of the room.
I am a bit of a fanatic about my food--when I eat out, it must be delicious (why else bother, I am a good cook so if it's not excellent, I'd rather cook at home), and it must be fresh, because that's what tastes best. And Eos never dissapoints. The food is wonderful and it's clear they pay as much attention to sourcing quality ingredients as they do to their preparation. My husband and I came here after too long away from Eos, and brought a business colleague of my husband's from India. We all loved our meal and my husband was enthusiastic about returning soon, which is great, because I love their food!
I chose this restaurant for a business/ friend lunch. The restaurant is on the smaller side so I recommend reservations, but well worth the planning. The food was authentic, fresh, and amazing. But the service is what absolutely put our experience over the top. From the greeting, to the thoughtful timing of when the food was served, to the end where our server actually packaged our food to go - as opposed the usual drop a container and run you usually get today.
I will definitely be back. Well done!!
On my return to EOS, I again had a very pleasant experience. Simple but delicious Greek dishes offered big portions and were nicely presented. My dish of grilled octopus and shrimps was very tasty and so large that I could not eat all of it but gladly took "left overs" home. Menu presents a variety of choices from sea food to meat to vegetables and salads and all prized reasonably. Great place for lunch but I am sure that dinner menu is equally good . A "come back" for me!
Excellent food, great atmosphere. A bit pricey but worth it. We started with fried calamari and a navy bean soup from the restaurant week menu. For entree, we both had branzino but in two different preparations. Finally, baklava for dessert. All of it was delicious. The only thing that my husband and I were not impressed by was the rice side dish. It reminded me of Mexican rice from a box. It was odd, like it didn't belong, because the rest of the food was excellent.
We have never been disappointed at this restaurant. Love everything I have ever had. Lunch. ..dinner. ...all is wonderful.
Thanks again for a great night.
We went to Eos early as we like a nice quiet dinner. Our server was so helpful with choosing wine and we appreciated that. Each dish from the triple seafood grill; octopus, calamari, shrimp, then the Spanokopita, grilled lamb chops to the unique baklava sundae was excellent. We will surely be glad to go there again.
My family's favorite place to eat. We usually order several rounds of appetizers and rarely get to the main course. Their food is delicious with all the traditional greek flavors. Service is also excellent. During the nicer weather, it's great to eat outside.
Very good food at a reasonable price. A neighborhood gem. This is a keeper. It was during a dreary winter day and being at Eos made it much brighter.
Had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, the restaurant was charming and the wait staff were very competent and helpful. Will definitely be going again.
Always a pleasure about experience. The food is delicious, service is great, and the staff is professional and extremely nice.
The food was exceptional and the server was extrem
We have gone to Eos for the third time in recent months, each time bringing different friends. The food was excellent....fresh, well prepared with a nicely varied menu. The lamb chops I ordered came cooked as requested......medium rare. This is a favorite and simple dish, not always done well in my experience, so it was delightful to enjoy it prepared so well here.
Everyone we brought enjoyed what they ordered. Service was consistently engaged, friendly and efficient.
Would recommend for lunch or dinner with friends or family.
The lamb chops were marinated and grilled to perfection. The stuffed cabbage with lemon sauce is the ultimate comfort food and the mezzes could be a meal each! Portions are generous, which is great for taking home the leftovers!
My son had a martini which came with feta stuffed olives. He asked the waiter if he could have some more olives. Imagine my surprise when the bill came and we were charged $3 for 3 olives, a dollar an olive. A bit tacky and put a damper on what was otherwise an excellent meal.
Nice Greek menu and wines. My grilled octopus was really tasty and portion was quite generous as for an appetizer. Roasted eggplant offered the same: good taste and size. So, after these two I was pretty full... Overall, tasty, simple food served in a timely manner, and nice service. EOS is worth making a trip.
Eos has been one of my favorite restaurants since it opened a few years ago. My wife and I both like Greek food and Eos does Greek really well.
They have a very reasonably priced wine list and the menu is also very reasonable. We hardly ever order entrees and normally select three to four small dishes, the trio of dips being our go to, and a bottle of wine.
On our last visit we brought our children and it worked out great. We were there on a Sunday night, it was not buys and they set up up in a corner with plenty of room for the kids.
I really hope this place never closes and we will keep going there until we no longer live in the area.
One of our favorite places....everything is wonderful. ....fresh and yummie.
This was our 2nd time ... It's a small
Restuarant and they had live music which was deafening couldn't even carry a conversation .... The food was so salty we were shocked ... Not going back anytime soon it was a far cry from our first dining experiences!
I had the skirt steak, which was delicious. I also enjoyed the warm pita bread that was served before the entree arrived. The fried potatoes were just ok, but overall the meal was very good. Service was efficient and extremely pleasant.
The small plates offered allowed for both size appetites. We had a good meal and left feeling perfectly satisfied.
Excellent food. Small plates great for sharing tapas style. Really enjoyed the Feta Hot Pepper Dip, and the heavenly Moussaka. Grilled lamb chops were very tasty as well. Reserve a table. Gets crowded quickly. Pleasant contemporary atmosphere.
Eos is one of our favorites.... Most of the time ordering just appetizers....and many of them. All amazing!
