The staff was amazing! We will be back again...happy hour menu was great. If you like burgers get the patio burger and truffle fries...yummmmm!
Great dining experience with amazing food and wonderful service. Will no doubt return!!
We had a wonderful visit in Durgano and this was one of the highlights. Our needs were anticipated before we even needed anything. The food was perfectly prepared and the menu was creative.
An always outstanding dining experience. Servers are excellent and so attentive.
We love Eolus! It’s our favorite Durango restaurant—dependably delicious and includes local and organic ingredients.
Great food, drinks and service as always. Eolus is a consistently a wonderful experience.
Quality ingredients perfectly prepared in a beautiful presentation!
Restaurant has excellent cocktails, the food was delicious and the service was great. The only critique I have is the Lobster Corn Dogs were very expensive for a very small portion. It was a Friday night and they still managed to seat us immediately, the server was with our table right away and the food was out quickly and cooked perfect. Make sure to pay attention if you bring a good group. One couple didn't realize that gratuity was added for tables of six or more and they almost tipped 20 percent on top of the twenty percent built into the check. They were visiting from out of the country and weren't accustomed to the gratuity being built in for larger groups. No fault of the restaurant, though.
One of the best in Durango and as a Vegetarian I can eat well here. At prime time, especially on the weekends it gets very loud. To avoid the noise eat early around 5:00 p.m.
Everything about our dining experience was incredible. The seafood stew is one of the best meals of my lifetime.
Their fabulous scallop appetizer, delectable beet salad, perfect mahi and a special dessert sent us out the door in a euphoric state of food bliss. Killer service. 5 Stars.
The food was quite good, but VERY expensive. The mixed drinks were o.k. - I was hoping them to have a better bartender. Dessert was so-so. I had a triple chocolate dessert. One of the three items was a ganash that simply tasted like bakers chocolate. I LOVE bitter dark chocolate, but this was not tasty.
Great service, excellent wine list and great food
Wonderful meal, fresh and creative menu and cocktails. Our server Austin was incredible, we never waited for a thing. We'll be back soon!
My partner and I probably eat at Eolus twice a month.
The staff is always very friendly, but not consistently attentive. To be fair, there isn't a restaurant in Durango that has staff that could come close to my expectations of service in a larger city. I guess that's the trade-off of living in a smaller town.
The food is always well prepared. Several of the staff are Gluten-Free so most of the menu items are as well, which is great for me. I do wish they would change up the menu more frequently.
I recommend the Quinoa and Roasted veggies.
Visitors form out of town please note, like most restaurants around here Eolus is sometimes open odd hours and close earlier than you may expect. I would call ahead before dropping in.
Eolus did a fabulous prix fixe menu for Valentines and it was absolutely fabulous! Each course had a wonderful wine pairing and the food and service was terrific. Always a favorite.
This is my husband and my favorite restaurant in Durango. We are foodies and have high standards. Love the appetizers and lots of interesting entree options. Love this place.
Got the surf and turf. Couldn't be more disappointed. Was expecting at leaSt 8oz lobster tail and it was maybe 4oz. The steak was tiny as well. We also got the chicken which was way over seasoned but a large portion. The rest was basic service for top dollar. I will probably not try it ever again and I would suggest the same for you. Much better values and tastes in Durango.
Arguably one of the best meals ever. Easily top ten and possibly top five. Food and drink was excellent. Service was spot on, refreshingly attentive without a hint of pretentiousness. Austyn was delightful and made wonderful recommendations. I look forward to my next trip to Durango.
As always, a wonderful dinner and fantastic service! Would highly recommend Eolus to anyone! We live in Durango and we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary! Our first choice!
Great food as always!
From the Thai Martinis, the sushi with bacon appetizers to the main course including the lobser mashed potatoes and chai tea creame Brule for dessert it was all totally Amazing. And the roof top patio provided a great view for the fireworks that were going on that evening. Highly recommend as long as you're prepared for a couple hundred dollar tab.
Consistently good; Eolus continues to be a favorite place to dine. The ambiance and customer service is always good. This was Snowdown week-end and the place was packed but still delivered good food, service and above all a good time.
Celebrated my wife’s birthday here after watching the Snowdown Light Parade. The food was delicious, the staff was very accommodating and we had a great time.
Everything was fantastic minus the service. It took over 30 minutes to receive our appetizer and the table next to us arrive 20 minutes after we arrived and received the same appetizer we had ordered before ours. After the we received our appetizer, it was spot on for the rest of the evening.
Noise did get a little loud towards 7pm. Although this weekend was Snowdown, a winter festival here in Durango, so therefore a lot of extra energy is to be expected!
Austin our waitress is always a pleasure!
Great happy hour prices
We always go here for a quiet relaxed and easy atmosphere, which is their best asset. Friendly staff with good, fast attentive service. Everything on the menu is very good.
I always have a wonderful experience here
We had a great meal and great service.
Eolus is culinary art and rapidly ascending in quality. The hanger steak is second to none. There must be a black market for their mashed potatoes, they’re that good! Beignets with lemon curd is inventive and exceptionally good. The pumpkin macaroons are awesome. The wine list is loaded with affordable, top wines. I love dining here. James Allred and the entire staff do things you simply won’t experience anywhere else.
Really appreciated our server Barney guiding us with wine recommendations. Great wine list. Interesting locally sourced food. Beet salad with goat cheese very refreshing and delicious. Asian fusion King salmon was amazing. Wonderful desserts. Looking forward to returning!
We come here every time we are in town (1x a month) with our kids (12, 10, 9). The food is five star...order anything with lobster! Comes with this beurre Blanc sauce that is delicious. Hubby always gets Manhattan and lobster burger. I always get the cab by the glass (changes often—high quality $20 by the glass) and the seafood stew which is loaded with lobster, mussels, salmon etc.—Divine. This last time I got the surf and turf which was equally incredible. Kids get the lobster served corn dog style, the kids salmon and kids burger respectively. The service is always top notch. If you come early they have their sushi rolls on happy hour. It’s a treat we save up for both calorie wise and pocketbook wise. But there is nowhere else we would rather eat in Durango.
Menu is always inventive. Service is excellent and appropriately attentive. The owners are serious about creating and executing a dining experience that is unique. They consistently pull it off. This is our favorite place in a town blessed with wonderful dining options.
Great craft cocktails. There was a wide range of creative appetizers ranging from lobster corn dogs to sushi. There were a lot of gluten free options or adaptations available. The wine list is outstanding and includes wines that are difficult to find. We had an outstanding French Burgundy recommended by the owner. Service is prompt, and attentive without being overbearing. The entrees were great as were the deserts. The restaurant adds there own twist to nearly everything on the menu. This is one of the finest restaurants anywhere.
always a great meal! they were busy and it was still fantastic! great wine selection and great food! My duaghter is gluten free and it is easy to accomodate her there.
Eolus is our "go-to" restaurant! Consistently the absolute best in server attentiveness, creative menu choices and of course, excellent cuisine.
Excellent service, sophisticated, low noise ambience, salmon entree was perfectly portioned and had great balance of taste and texture with accompaniments.
very nice ambiance, excellent service, food was beautifully presented and delicious.
The food was excellent... our only complaint was the initial greeting from a rude hostess, a bad start to the evening. The table service and food compensated for the first impression and won us over.
