About Enzo and Lucia
Homemade pasta is the specialty at this Long Grove Italian restaurant housed in a former Victorian-style home on the border of Arlington Heights. Begin your delicious authtentic Italian meal with bruschetta, grilled calamari or prosciutto with melon. You will enjoy the best authentic Italian food in Chicago's Northwest Suburbs.
A daily risotto, fresh fish served whole and veal chops are among the hearty selections. Potato gnocchi is a popular dish. Homemade desserts include cannoli and tiramisu.
The candlelit main dining room in our Italian Restaurante, located upstairs, is painted green and burgundy. Wood paneling, a fireplace, French windows and well-spaced tables make for an intimate atmosphere. The view of a fountain and flower garden spells romance. A kitchen table provides a glimpse behind the scenes.
Limited outside summer seating is available.

Enzo and Lucia Ratings and Reviews
Food was delicious - service great except the waitress reeked of cigarettes when she delivered the salads which I find intolerable. We also think $25 for a corkage fee is way out of line for this area. D & Js down the road charges $15 fee and has an exceptional wine list.
We usually love this place and that’s why I picked it for my bday celebration. However, the restaurant had booked their main dining for a party and we were forced to dine in their basement. It was awful! Low ceiling and cement floors. It felt like a basement and not a nice one. Also the party above must have had a lot of children because they kept jumping and running right over our heads! The food was delicious and our waitress was tremendous but if I would’ve known that I was going to be seated in the basement, I would not have dined here.
Every first weekend in December my sister and niece from out of state come and we spend a day in the city and our Saturday evening at a different venue for a nice Italian dinner and visit. This was the first time in 5 years here of not being happy with our selection. First we were jammed in on the stretch where everyone walks. Then it was so loud my niece got a headache, let alone we wanted to talk but felt like we had to yell because of how loud it was. The salad and bread great, but our main meals were nothing to brag about. Not very tasteful at all. Very bland. I picked this restaurant after reading an article on internet from only in Chicago the October 26th article regarding the tiny town near Chicago. I'm sorry but when we are paying 150.00 to eat we really expected much more!
We were disappointed that our OpenTable reservation didn't pick up our note saying we needed a highchair for an infant, which meant we needed to change our table to allow enough room for eight and a high chair. We had to wait for a new table to be set which we didn't like so we had to change again (third time) to give us the room we needed so the baby wasn't too close to hot food and platters. The service was good, the wait staff was very attentive and the management was checking in on us and following up with us which was pleasant and appreciated. The food was delicious. Everyone was pleased with their selections. Enzo and Lucia is highly recommended. If you book online and have special notes, make sure you call them in and don't depend upon the OpenTable notes section to transfer important notes.
We had a fabulous experience. We were immediately merged at the door by a friendly waitress and seated right away. They have a huge selection of food and several specials to choose from. Even though our waitress had a large table behind us, she took great care of us. This was an amazing restaurant and we will definitely be back again and again.
We were a group of 8 on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was not full, so we were able to relax and enjoy conversation. Our server, Claudio, is the best. He's professional, knowledgeable and efficient and , at the same time, very friendly . I had the seasonal special of pumpkin cappellacci in a brown butter and sage sauce, which was excellent. Others had the chicken parmesan, gnocchi, chicken vesuvio and chicken tetrazzini, which were all very good. We had such a nice time with family and good food in a very comfortable and friendly setting.
The service was very friendly and the food was excellent. While the main entrée was sized just right, the salad and pasta side dishes were too small for the price we paid. I would expect more. Still, this left room for dessert which was superb. Great place for special occasions.
My husband and I really enjoy the restaurant, but, Tuesday nite, the soup was luke warm and had to be sent back, the waiter who brings around the garlic oil and bread did not offer a refill, and my grilled octopus ,calamari, and shrimp were not hot, just barely warm
This is a very nice restaurant, with well-made food. The specials of the day, salmon and a pumpkin ravioli, were outstanding. We preferred them to food at other, more widely-known restaurants. It's pretty casual, not at all formal, very kid friendly. The wine list has some decent bottles that tend to show up in restaurants around the country, ones you can quickly spot and be confident in.
I had my wedding rehearsal dinner here and everything was Great!
The service and food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great for all of my family and friends.
Although our group was loud (especially my friend Rich) we didn't interfere with other people's conversations.
I'm glad I had reservations because the place was packed !!!
My wife and I dined here to celebrate our 18th anniversary. We are both on the keto diet, so we avoided bread and pasta. This was not hard to do as the menu was accommodating.
For an appetizer, we ordered the Fried Calamari. It was lightly and breaded, without clumps or gaps. She had the Veal Enzo while I had the Veal Saltimbocca. We ordered roasted vegetables on the side and house salads. Everything was delicious, and the portions were just right -- not too much, not too little.
Our server, whose name escapes me as I write this, was very kind and attentive. Enzo and Lucia staff, if you're reading this, he was a server on staff the night of 9/5/2017.
One more thing: The night we ate was a rather quiet one. We've been here on busier nights, and it can be a very lively dining experience. The restaurant feels like a very large dining room, so if you like that feel, you will enjoy your meal. (I did not intend to rhyme there, but I'm leaving it.)
The food was pretty good but the noise on Saturday night was unbearable and made the experience unpleasant. I would never go back on a Saturday night unless you love not hearing the conversation of your own guests. They need some sound-absorbing surfaces -- or quieter clientele. That said, everyone at our table enjoyed the food.
Love going here every year for either our Anniversary or my husband's birthday... next time, we won't go on a Saturday (early) evening, though, as a large group at the bar made our romantic dinner a bit uncomfortable. It's not usually like that, though... I would call ahead and ask if you're planning something quieter.
